Because someone else was buying, I took the plunge and ordered it. As I always do, I ordered it rare and I got rare!! Oh, it was so good!! And the veggies with it were emasculate!! At $40 though, it was on the steep side and as I said on the night, I only bought it because though I enjoy it, I can never afford it... WELL WORTH IT!!! Ambience of Huon Hill is A+, the staff are well trained and quite helpful (there were a little hiccups in ordering, but I have a few dietary concerns, so....), and there is a great range of foods and drinks available.

Anyway, I was somewhat peckish so I decided to pop in here for a bite to eat, and considering that it does happen to be a pizza shop, I went for a pizza. It turned out to actually be pretty good. I also grabbed some chips, though as is typical of me, I then realised that I probably couldn't eat all of it. I ended up doing so however, so no problems there. Yeah, this place is actually pretty cool, and I certainly recommend it.

Yeah, this place was actually pretty good, and they certainly had a great selection of beers available that happened to be on tap. Down an alley into the yard with picnic tables and into the barn with a nice bar and two levels of eating area. As in keeping with Australian custom, one has to order drinks and food at the bar. Drinks you Carry back, food they bring out when ready. Numerous pizzas, sandwiches, ribbs...what you'd expect at a brewpub. We had two different brews, mine a nice IPA, wife's a Pilsner, and were both happy. We also had a pizza with tomato sauce, apples, rocket greens and Blue Cheese crumbles which was tasty. Also, the thin crust was nicely crisp and easy to pick up and eat, unlike any other pizza I've had in AU. In addition to lots of seating inside there was plenty outside, some covered by umbrellas, some open. There was a large children's play area which was well attended. The clean Rest rooms were M, F & Handicapped. Highly recommend. Humorously, they list "Italian Style Pizza". I wonder what style pizza they are differentiating from? I suppose Hawaiian or something? We do have Greek style in RI but... sorry, just felt a need to say that.

Our group included myself, hubby and our 3 year old daughter. The atmosphere was inviting, warm and very family friendly. The service was fast and welcoming. Though dining as a family it was an environment equally suited to a brunch with the girls, date or casual business meeting. The menu is full of your usual brunch items with creative and delicious twists. Their take on chicken and waffles was AMAZING. Every element perfectly complimented each other. The waffle was dense but filling and tasty, the coleslaw light and fresh and the popcorn chicken seasoned and cooked to perfection. A+ in terms of originality and deliciousness. My husband went with the B Man's Brekkie - think upmarket big brekkie but with a wonderful kick it flavour. Highlight of the plate was the corn fritter - if hungry this plate is for you but if not the fritters alone with sate your hunger. If you're a coffee snob you won't be disappointed. Our cappuccinos were faultless. I also loved the Vietnamese cold brew - it gave me a nice taste of nostalgia. Perfect for those missing shores abroad. This said, it was with much regret that I chose Brick Lane. I will admit that there has been an enormous improvement from the previous owners (decore, menu and service) my eating experience left me bed ridden for 3 days. My very pricey ceasar salad arrived with limp, slimy leaves and a sweaty side of dressing. The chicken needed to be rehydrated with steady gulps of water. It was obvious that my order sat under the heat lamp for far too long. I should have been honest and sent it back, instead suffered my greatest case of food poisoning ever. Will I condemn the new kid on the block? No. They can do a decent coffee and I am grateful they keep the machine on later than most.
