We got a smoking hot deal on a Junior King Suite with included breakfast, and stayed here for a week! Our 370 square feet room (219) had a nice king bed, two Samsung flat screen TVs, a Nespresso machine, refrigerator, and two rooms. Bathroom was functional with a huge shower. I wear contacts and the sink had a proper drain plug (I am always worried about losing a lens). Toilet paper is "Cottonele Ultra," probably the nicest we have used in any hotel at any price. It's one of the metrics that we use to judge the quality of hotel stays. Service is incredible, I won't give names but everyone we spoke to was super helpful and friendly. The maids do an incredible job on the rooms. Breakfast downstairs in the breakfast room is cooked to order. There are lots of excellent choices and everything is prepared like a fine dining restaurant. One final comment --- I saw all the reviews before I booked this place and saw lots of complaints about the cannabis smoke emanating from the plaza across from the hotel lobby. This did not bother us, we actually felt at home (reminds us of San Francisco CA). I highly recommend this hotel, it's an incredible bargain (if you are lucky) and it was worth double the price we paid!

This boutique hotel is located in the Centro Histórico district (Historic center) of CDMX, about…read moreseveral minutes walk from the Zocalo, and the attractions like Templo Mayor, the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace, and Museum of World Cultures. It sits at the edge of a small square, a little further back from the main street. Fairly unassuming on the exterior, appearances suggest an older restored building which it is, dating back to the 1500s, and deemed a national historical monument by the Instituto Nacional de Anthropologia e Historia (aka INAH, National Institute of Anthropology and History). Walking inside you can see the remnants of the old structure in the layout of the interior, double staircases, bi-level floors with corridors splitting off under arched doorways. The feel is rustic medieval meets mid-century modern--with stone-hewn door frames and walls, exposed brick, wood beams, white-washed wall sections, wrought iron rails and window grilles. Walking upstairs the open lobby between guest rooms is spacious and airy with wooden mid-century mod furniture contrasting to the courtyard from which you can partially glimpse the sky. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, you feel transported from the bustle just a couple blocks away. The hotel is spotlessly clean in all the shared open spaces, while I didn't stay here, from other pics, the rooms fit into the same vibe. Staff was pleasant at the first floor entrance, there was both a security guard and front desk concierge, who checked our purpose for entry when we arrived. Stellar doesn't even begin to describe the restaurant on the roof level. One of my best meals in CDMX with superior service compared to all but one other restaurant during my week there. The staff were all very nice, but the place needs re-work to fit the luxury branding. Noise: At first I thought there was a low-flying aircraft on approach to MEX, but after counting several "aircraft" spaced far too close together, I figured out the continuous noise in my room was the hotel elevators constantly coming and going. I should have paid attention to the reviews that mentioned noise, but I thought they were being sensitive... Earplugs help, if you brought some, but the sound is deep-pitched so you can "feel" it anyway. The noise never stopped for long (it's a big hotel, and maybe the elevators bottom out when not in use), during my 2-night stay. You could hear it during the day but it was especially noticeable at night. I was hoping for some restful sleep between busy days, but it was not happening. There's a *LOT* of rooms adjacent the elevator shafts in a 42-story hotel. All of these will be similarly unsleepable. These rooms should be designated as housekeeping storage, or sound-baffled and the beds reversed away from the elevators, or sold only as day-use. Surely these ideas have occurred to management. Putting multi-night visitors in these rooms is an insult to guests at this level of hospitality. Location: Polanco is the most upscale part of CDMX, and it's easy walking access to the museums, upscale restaurants, and points north from here. But note many of the historical sites and instagram-famous restaurants are to the east and south of Chapultepec. First-time visitors should stay in Reforma instead. Rooms: Surprisingly plain, with an open-plan bathroom (sink/counter are in the "bedroom"). It's a great space-saver, but not what you expect at this pricing. It should be made stylish or eclectic, and the bathroom area should be closed off. There *is* a very nice lobby and a 24-hour French restaurant, plus lobby restaurant-bar, so save this one for a day visit, not a stay. There's tons of other great hotel options in CDMX, and for most visitors locations towards Reforma are better located.

The beautiful breakfast restaurant with an awesome variety of breakfast dishes also included in its price. And they offer a free walking tour of downtown Mexico City, that I would have gladly paid for given how informative and well done it was executed by the tour guide. We also tried the restaurant they have on site, not included in the price per stay. Also, a lovely option for lunch or dinner if you don't feel like venturing out. And their sister hotel, very close to this location is home to a spectacular Taco Tasting Room (restaurant)/think omakase style tacos. Absolutely superb!! The rooms were spotless, they offered turned down service, and the beds and water pressure were excellent. The rooms were not super spacious but we only used them to sleep so they were an adequate size for me. Also, every floor had a water refilling station! Talk about convenience and practicality. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan on visiting again.

Hubby and I paid for a deluxe King room and for the price that was paid we expected much better. Our room felt cramped and on top of that there was construction happening on the building next to where our room was and the construction went on until about 11 pm at night which was honestly quite irritating. Sadly I did not take pictures of the room, I messed up on that part but trust when I say the room was small. The view of the hotel itself is marvelous and upon arrival we were offered a complementary shot of tequila or wine (shot preferred) The breakfast was ok, hubby enjoyed his breakfast. I did arrive 6am in the morning and my check in wasn't available until 3pm. However, I was able to check my luggage in and go explore for a bit and have breakfast. Around 11am I checked to see if they had my room ready and in fact they were able to get me in sooner. The hotel was close to everything me and my wife needed and the parade was right outside our hotel which was a plus. Mind you it was a very busy weekend with the events going on but nonetheless had no issues. It was my first time in Mexico City and I will be returning again to this hotel. Also I would like the hotel to recognize 3 staff members of the hotel during my stay. Justil, Gustavo and Daniel. They worked in the bar and lounge and they're level of service is beyond anything I have experienced especially here in the states. They are a true representation of what customer service and customer satisfaction is about when it comes to them. I visited and stayed in the lounge for drinks and food and they went above and beyond. They made my feel welcomed and comfortable. So for any of you reading this made sure you ask for either of those 3 they will not disappoint and they are very attention to detail. They will not forget you even when they see hundreds of people a day. Is management sees this review please let them know me and my wife miss them and we hope to see them again next year. Everything from the pre-stay communication and exceptional customer service to the beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodations was world class. My wife and I started our honeymoon with two nights in La Luna suite, one of only three rooms at the hotel. Prior to our stay, I emailed several times with the staff to hammer out some details. They provided a beautiful complimentary bouquet of white roses in our room, which was more of a luxury one bedroom apartment with kitchen and superb bathroom. Emails were returned within a matter of minutes, and always were very pleasant. Our initial flight to Mexico City was delayed for four hours, and we missed our opportunity to visit the archeology museum. When we arrived to La Valise, we were welcomed with a shot of very tasty mezcal and freshly sliced orange. The hotel then delivered our luggage to our room along with the remainder of the bottle of mezcal while we went for a walk in the neighborhood, again complimentary. The attention to detail in our room was superb. The bathroom was supplied with excellent soaps and shampoos, along with fragrant bath salts to use in the claw foot tub. The refrigerator was stalked with complimentary still and sparkling water, beer, and juice. Wifi was excellent, with a UE Boom speaker and Apple TV provided. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the complimentary coffee provided by the shop next door was exceptional. The icing on top of our trip happened when we unfortunately left a cell phone in the back of an Uber. We left Mexico City early the following morning, making it impossible for Uber to return our phone to us. The hotel helped us facilitate calling our carrier to turn off service to the phone, and volunteered to allow us to use them as a contact for the return of the phone. The manager, Roberto, communicated with us frequently to let us know the phone had been returned, and is going to meet us at the airport in several days to hand deliver while we have a lengthy layover on our return home... On Christmas Eve Day!! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It exceeded our expectations.

The UE roll added an atmospheric vibe, perfect for lazing around the suite. The only con, if any, is I wish they had more lights in the room. I highly recommend this lovely little hotel. Roma Norte is a delightful neighborhood and you'll enjoy exploring all its little secrets.

You can feel the difference from the moment you step in. You are met with genuine smiles from the staff who are super friendly and inviting. They listen to you and answer all your questions. The hotel is super clean as you will see staff cleaning the walls, the rails and the bathrooms at all times. They offer a delicious breakfast as you can see by the pics. The hotel is located near a lot of other things. We were able to walk or catch an uber to the Basilica de la Virgen de Guadalupe, lucha libre, Roma Norte, Chapultepec, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and el Zócalo to name a few. We booked a tour with a guide through the hotel to Xochimilco and Coyoacán. It is very easy to get to places and you can do a lot of shopping near the hotel. There are even places like Little Caesars, McDonald's, Chili's or KFC nearby if you are truly missing those. Anyway, on our next trip to CDMX, we know who we are booking with.
