Well maintained and I like the fact that there aren't kids running around. Which helps me focus on my workouts better.

OK, so I gave myself a month before doing a review. I used to go to the other twenty four hour…read morefitness chain before moving downtown and selecting this for my new gym. Being open 24 hours is a huge thing to me, as is convenience. It's literally 5 minutes for me to get here. So this place is in the bottom of this massive brick warehouse that I'm sure everyone has seen at one point or another while downtown. It's really neat going to a gym in such a cool, old building, right at the edge of the Old Market. They have everything I could possibly want here, without going overboard. No it does not have a pool. Or a steamroom. Or that extra stuff you can go get a lifetime or your other pretentious gyms. I just wish it had one more bench press....It has one bench press/squat rack combo and a smith machine next to it. Most of the time when I go there's like 2 people in here so it works perfect. I love it not being crowded. Free weights everywhere, the dumbbells are awesome, the machines are super nice if not strange for the weight labeling on them....Treadmills and exercise bikes (They need another bike by the way) and tons of legs machines. They have a big nice, new, aerobics room (which I never use) if you're into that stuff. There's no lockers, but you have some cubby holes to put your stuff in while you lift. They have a small selection of supplements up front you can purchase too. My favorite thing is just how nice and new all of the equipment is. My last gym everything was falling apart and rusty. Worst thing is having to pay the meter, but it's really not a big deal.

I'm highly disappointed & upset with my experience with Anytime fitness downtown Omaha. I wish there was more to do than write reviews at this point. Sacha was the instructor and she was super motivating and encouraging. My lower back was giving me issues (to be expected after driving for 2 days!), and she gave me plenty of advice on form and modifications. If my HR monitor didn't die halfway through the class, I think I could say that this was maybe one of my best classes yet! Everyone at this studio was very nice, and you absolutely cannot beat the location. There was plenty of metered parking on a Saturday morning, and was a very short walk from The Farnam. I would highly recommend this location for any locals, and definitely stop by if you're in town visiting as well! I will definitely be back if I find myself in Omaha again.

They keep you moving between stations (treadmill, rower, and weights) and workouts are never the same so you never get bored. Not to mention you're always working different muscles too. I love the heart rate monitor and how you can see on the screen whether you're killing it (or being a wuss) and how many calories you've burned. Also really like that the instructors show you modifications for the floor/weight exercises for those of us who are wimpy or not-so-fit. *Raises hand.* FYI - For your 1st visit they will ask you to come in 30 minutes before class. This is to sign paperwork, get a little tour, be shown how to properly use the equipment, and get set up with a heart rate monitor. Also, your 1st class is totally free.

I am not a cycle girlie, I enjoy weightlifting and running, but biking of any sort has never thrilled me. This changed the game for me! The environment is so fun: you're in the dark for the most part, with some dramatic lighting that the instructor changes along with the music and the 'vibe'. These instructors have to be heavily trained to be part DJ and Cycle Instructor at the same time! Rather than cycling to a specific goal, you go along with the beat, and decide on your resistance. I found this to be super fun to follow, and very customizable as I could make it harder on myself than recommended when I wanted to. If I knew the song - I would increase my difficulty haha! The facility is super clean, thoughtful, and well equipped. They definitely make sure that you have everything you need right there. I have been telling my friends, I'd rather we go to a Saturday night cycle than go to the club - the endorphins and energy were simply immaculate. Go try it out!

I went here first back in 2012 when it was the original Aspen, and about 90% of it is still the same. They finally got some new cardio equipment (previously, about half didn't even work) and a few new weight options, but that's about all that's been done. It just feels run down and dirty, including that old low-pile carpet on the gym floor that I'm not sure when it's ever been cleaned. There doesn't seem to be a lot of accountability with their staff. I've seen some of the trainers using it as their playground, many without shoes (which is a club rule to wear them). I've also seen some of the exercises and lifts they've allowed their clients to do, poor form and unsafe. I would not trust many of the trainers here. There have also been multiple times where the person opening wasn't there so I'm up at 5am for nothing. I do want to caveat that some of the front desk staff, a few trainers I know have been there for a while and a few of the group class teachers are nice and know what they're doing, but these other bad actors have left a bad taste in my mouth and make me question the standards that upper management holds. I might consider going back when they renovate the place, but who knows when that will be. Plus I'm sure the price will go way up then since it would be a "premium club." They've noted that it's "on the list" which is their excuse to not fix other things now. There's one sink in the women's locker room that has been unusable for over 2 years. I don't use the showers, but other members have expressed them not working well or even at all some times. We plan to be residents of this area of town for a long time, and I hope to see solid improvements here in the near future so we can enjoy this convenient gym again.
