Kidding aside, BDB's owner, Shay, is now MY BARBER--after one visit! Since moving to Boulder City, I've seen just one guy who recently decided to hang his clippers and combs in a shop on the opposite side of the Valley. He was great--but not SO GREAT as to drive an hour-and-a-half round trip. BDB is the only shop in BC with all five-star Yelp* ratings--a tough row to hoe. But the ebullient and effusive reviews were spot-on--this is truly a 5-star joint! Bottom line: Shay is an excellent barber...and FAST! What took my old guy a half-hour she completed in 20 minutes and did a much better job! Even, clean, tidy--and exactly as I asked her to do leaving me 100% delighted with the results. The cherry on top was having such a nice person perform this service. She's sweet, an easy conversationalist--someone I'd want to add to my circle of friends. Her shop reflects her professionalism. It's clean, well-organized and welcoming. I simply cannot think of a single reason not to recommend BDB to anyone wanting a perfect barbershop experience--save one: no women clients.
