Great place to relax and take a break from shopping in Old Town. Downshift has tasty and refreshing beers, and fantastic folks serving it. We really enjoyed the beers and the vibe here. Service was fantastic.

Love the modern sleek decor! We walked in and the place, ambiance and the staff was so inviting. We ordered our cocktail at the bar and took in the view of the beautiful church. I had the maple old fashioned which had a nice spicy note to it combined with a sweet smoky maple flavor. We came by on a Sunday afternoon and they had a live band playing country music. That was unexpected and enjoyable! I loved it and can't wait to come back.

This was my first time trying Downshift and it was.....ok. I'm not too sure how I feel about it yet so I think I need another visit or 2 to decide if I like it or not. PROS- *Beautiful space with lots of seating. *People of all ages were hanging out getting drinks *So many local products! I appreciated seeing Leaf&Hive, Tellers, Nickel, etc. *Not just beer so anyone could find something to drink CONS- *Service . Sat at the bar and it took 20 minutes to get a drink order in then we were never checked on again. Once we saw our bartender leave without saying anything (about an hour after we were served our drinks) we had to stand in line to close our tab. * House beer was just ok. Got a flight and nothing was memorable. *Pricey. The location is great (and probably costly) but a flight of 4 2oz pours and one non-downshift beer on tap was $18. Overall, this place is ok. It's beautiful and a nice place to hang out but the beer itself was lackluster.

So happy to visit downshift again. i've been here 3 times and this time with a live band. What a great time! I had the pickletini which is a fun addition and a must try for pickle lovers!

Me oh my!!! I'm instantly in love with this place. How did I not know about this brewery?? The ambiance is that out of a movie, Old Town scenery- chile ristras galore, beautiful blue New Mexico skies, and shades of adobe make me instantly fall in love with this place. Exceptional beers are available for all newcomers from around the world, also craft cocktail's including a pickle martini ladies and gentlemen!! I can't wait to come back!

Enjoyed our free drinks from our Elite Yelp Event. They serve craft beers from our area as well as Sheehan wine. I was most appreciative because I am b Not a beer enthusiast. Comfortable setting above Sheehan Tasting Room. Nice for 2 or a larger group. Enjoyed the waite staff and the ambiance. Great place to take friends. Like the Old Town revitalization that has been taking place!

We were in Old Town on a weekday and decided to stop at Downshift for some "refreshment" The beer selection is decent. I had a prickly pear margarita and it was delicious! No food here. We sat out on the balcony and watched the people in the area. There were two guys playing music in the courtyard (live music is always a plus for us!) We enjoyed the visit here.

Cute spot to get a drink in Old Town after shopping. Has very limited food options so if you're hungry would suggest otherwise. I had the blackberry sour and my mom had Tamarindo Margarita which were ok and overpriced. There was live music playing which was nice and plenty of seating.

We were here for trivia night on Thursday. It's a very cute place right in old town. Love the atmosphere. I didn't quite like my beer but I'm sure there will be something I like. I'll try another drink next time. The trivia was a lot of fun so we may come back again for that! The staff were great!

We needed to escape the searing sun of the day while browsing around Old Albuquerque and decided to stop in for an afternoon cocktail. It was a great choice, served quickly and we sat out in the balcony which has terrific views out over the Plaza and old Basilica. Perfect location to sit relax & people watch. They have a great selection of cocktails and a super relaxed vibe here.

This is hands down my favorite brewery and cocktail bar in Albuquerque. I absolutely love the location because Old Town is my favorite place in the entire city. It's absolutely beautiful and I love that you can sit on the balcony patio and get great views of the plaza. The service is always good and friendly. I love that they change the menu around during the different seasons. I also love that they host trivia night.

I am so glad I happened upon Downshift while wandering Old Town! The vibes here are so cute. I would love to come here with friends. The staff was super kind and the beer (I tried two) was amazing. I would recommend to anyone in the area!

Beer from great local breweries, and awesome atmosphere. Beer is eight bucks a glass, though!

Crap beer; worse service. Waiters couldn't wait to close up (early) and send us packing. View from balcony was nice. That's about all.

When I think of the way family-owned business was and is-- this establishment is going to be what comes to mind. This is a combination liquor store and restaurant. Customer service is their name and I just can't believe how well they do it. We were in the neighborhood, honestly, just looking to buy a few minis, and came about Monte Carlo. We left with 8 bottles of liquor, 1 case of wine, cups, ice, and the minis we originally came for! We were greeted the moment we walked in the door, pointed towards the sale items, given recommendations and offered samples-- I felt like royalty! We were explained that this business has been a local presence for many, many years and it's no surprise why. We will continue to come here, even though we live 30 minutes away, given this fantastic experience, wonderful prices, and exceptional service!

The tuna poke tostada was AMAZING. It was a bit pricy for the size, but it was well worth it and delicious. Our server was quite honest with her recommendations and fast with her service. We chose a little get together for a colleague holiday celebration. So food and drinks needed to happen. For food we got the disco fries, which did not succumb to the wet ingredients and remained crunchy on the outside. The grilled chichitos had a few spicy exemplars but the rest were tolerable, with a lime aioli that made them pop. The chips and green chile queso were decent. The carne adobada was tender and easy to shred with good flavor. The Korean chicken and waffles were mine. They looked special and exciting. The gochujang maple sauce was interesting but it lacked sweetness and spicy. It was a very tame flavor. The chicken was very crispy on the outside but not too moist on the inside, making that cut into the chicken pieces quite tricky. The waffle was ok. Our drinks, however, were stellar heroes for the night. The hot cocoa with rum was warm, sweet, delicious, and full of whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon powder. It was a very rummy and wintery drink. The desperado was quite summery, for a big contrast from the hot cocoa. It was crisp, fresh, and a bit sour like a good tepache. And last but not least, the meat & potato man was a powerful and surprising drink, as it was small but full of different flavors that worked together like magic. Overall, I'd recommend the drinks, ambiance, and service at this place. The food, needs more work to match the flavors and quality of their drinks.
