My son & I worked for a week and got most all the things out we could handle. Then I scheduled 2 Broke College Kids out of Conway, AR to come move the large furniture, appliances and all of my husband's heavy machinery and tools. The estimate Drew gave me was for between $1,300 & $1,400. When they finished the job, my son filled in my check for $1,353. Imagine my surprise when I got a text from Drew the next day to say that they accidentally charged me for 4 men, but one guy wasn't available so they only had 3, but it didn't get changed in the system. My total now was only $945.00 and they would refund me the difference. Wow!! This young man and his company are not only dependable, fair & responsible, they are honest!! Often a truly hard combination to find. Thank you, Drew. I will be singing your praises to the mountain tops!

I give Moving U a call this morning, and now all of sudden they aren't able to do the move due to a new policy that only allows them to do local moves. So now I am one week from my targeted move date and have to come up with a plan B. Kaleb is no longer with the company, and I didn't get any communication about this new policy prior. Very, very upsetting. If I didn't call this morning to confirm everything and setup my deposit I doubt they would have called me to communicate anything.

My experience with College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving was extremely stressful and devastating. I…read morepaid for a full-service move, but key services were not completed, the cost exceeded the quote, and the overall handling of my move fell far below expectations. I hired this company because I needed help with a full move, including packing and assembly. My quote was around $2,900 and included services that were not actually completed. They did not pack my home as expected, leaving me to continue packing during the move, and despite those services not being done, the final cost ended up being even higher than the original quote. In addition, the move was delayed by a day and a half. On the morning I was expecting them, I was actively communicating with someone managing the move and had already provided my gate code. He later claimed I missed a call from headquarters, but I was under the impression that I was already speaking with the appropriate contact. Despite being present and in communication, I was not moved that day. I was also told they were closed on Sundays, which was not accurate, and I was unable to get additional boxes when I needed them. I had clearly communicated that I needed the remaining items packed, but that was not done. The move itself became chaotic. Their truck broke down, the move dragged on for hours, and my belongings did not arrive at my new home until around 9:00 PM. The movers were at my home until approximately midnight, and after all of those hours and the amount of money I paid, my home was still not livable. Nothing was assembled or set up in a way that allowed my family to even sleep there that night. Instead of being able to settle into our home after a professional move, I was left in the middle of the night trying to figure out where my children and I could sleep because the house was not functional or safe to stay in. Boxes and furniture were placed in ways that blocked hallways and access through the house, with heavy items stacked on fragile ones. Items were placed randomly instead of in organized rooms, leaving me unable to find what I needed, and the garage was filled to the point that I could barely function in my own home. All boxes were labeled as well. One of the biggest reasons this was so upsetting is that my daughter was recovering from ACL and meniscus surgery. I specifically needed this move handled professionally so we could have a safe, accessible living space, but instead we were left navigating around piles of belongings and blocked areas. Assembly was also supposed to be part of the service, but it was not completed as expected. Beds and other necessary pieces were not put together, leaving us without the basic setup we needed after a major move. Because so much was left unfinished and disorganized, it took me three separate trips and extra help to complete my move. It was a total of six hours driving time back-and-forth, but that doesn't count loading the cars and finishing a move by myself, and it caused me to miss two full days of work. I understand that unexpected problems can happen during a move, but what matters is how a company responds. After explaining everything that occurred, I was told they would not provide compensation or a refund adjustment, despite the incomplete services and the condition my home was left in. This was not simply a move that "didn't go perfectly." I paid a significant amount of money for a professional service so my family could transition safely into our new home, and instead I was left overwhelmed, physically exhausted, and still dealing with the aftermath. I reached out to the company and they refused to take any responsibility or compensate me for services i did not received and making this one of the most stressful experiences i have ever had moving. as a solo mom with an injured daughter and two small children, it will take me weeks of not months to get things livable.

It's revolutionary stuff here. I'm still reeling. Their rates are extremely reasonable, the communication prior to my move was prompt and clear and the crew did everything they could to ensure that my move was seamless and easy. They were totally cool about my moving pod being dropped off about a block away from my apartment due to some issues with the pod truck being too tall for my parking deck's height restrictions. All of my furniture was arranged carefully to ensure it would arrive without being damaged and to maximize the space in the Pod. Since they charge by the hour, they encouraged me to just pack whatever I could (I was, uh, kinda dragging with the stuff clearance) in bags and boxes as they carried it all out. My apartment was cleared faster and my Pod could carry more because of the movers' careful placement and arrangement. Y'all, they even wrapped my TV and put it in my car for me so it could be driven safely to New England. They were that good. Their crew was also super-friendly, polite and had a great sense of humor. They were cracking me up even amidst the stress of moving. You can't do better than VIP Moving. After several moves, I can say that this is the best moving company I've ever worked with. My experience was AWFUL. After walking through our home for about 30-45 minutes, David came up with…read morethe estimate of nearly $17k!!! This estimate included 3 trucks, 6 people for 3 days, taking apart and putting back together all furniture and gas for all 3 trucks. We were shocked and he could tell so he said that anything we moved ahead of time would come off the total, including unused moving supplies. He also told us that it was not the boxes but the big furniture that was what the majority of the cost. So, we went like gang busters moving our stuff. In fact, we moved so much that when they came to drop off all the moving supplies, David's associate was angry. He was shouting and yelling on the phone, to whoever he was talking to, about how we have moved nearly everything. He was mad that I was packing the kitchen , to where my sister and my friend were both uncomfortable. We moved, at the very least, 75% of our home, probably closer to 85%. The day they show up, there are 4 workers. The next day, they had 5. They spent too much time, way too much materials (my plastic bottles spices and Ziplock bags with spices, we wrapped in 3-4 sheets of packing paper each. Boxes were insulated with 5-8 pieces of packing paper, to go 2.5 miles. I have pictures and videos to prove this) Anyway, after all we did, all we moved, after we were assured that the cost of the move would be reduced based on what we moved, the new and bargain price was $13,500!!! Also this only included one truck, gas for one truck and 4 people one day, 5 the next. After hours of discussions, and trying to explain basic math, David settled on $9000. Seriously, $9000 to love 25% of $17k. Now, I'm no genius, but that doesn't really "math" out. Richard assured us he ran it through all his matrix and formulas. We made him very aware of the fact that we knew he was screwing us, we knew he knew he was screwing us but because they had already loaded the remainder of our home onto the truck and we're holding it hostage until we paid, we had to pay. As a side note, David also sold us on their services under the guise that all their employees are ex-military. We are extremely patriotic Americans and we knew they were high but bc they were all military and the fact they would reduce the cost based on what we moved, we decided on them. The employees they hire may be the x-military but the sub contractors that do all the moving are not. I feel we were stereotyped as wealthy because of the home we were moving out of. That, along with the fact that David knew we were very patriotic Americans, he took severe advantage of us. I feel he was dishonest, deceitful and manipulative. I'm not as mad about the money as I am about the fraud.
