I also love to shop the clearance rack for great values and the store often offers other incentives making it affordable and fun! Down to Earth has been a favorite store in Grand Haven. I stopped in today to look around and was met by a wonderful sales associate. I found (3) items to try on and she placed them in the dressing room. She took time to check back in to see if there was anything I needed and was very helpful. Checking out with the owner was another experience. She rang up a necklace and the looked at the price tag on the jacket, I had hoped to purchase. She looked at me and said the wrong price was on the jacket. "Obviously someone has put a different price tag on this coat", With that, she ripped the price tag off and looked at me as if I had replaced the tag. I told her I did not that that was the tag that was on the coat. The tag did not look like it had been tampered with, and I was not sure where she was going with her acquisition. There were a number of other customers standing around the check out counter. I was embarrassed with the way she handled this. . Needless to say, I did not purchase the jacket. She may have had a bad day. I hope she treats her other customers better than she did today. read more

Down to Earth is the perfect mid class home decor and fashion boutique. The store is laid out well and each item inside is likely hand chosen by the owner because it's all so well thought through! Their clothing choices are super fashionable and the perfect color pallet for the fall season. I appreciated the variety of shapes, textures, accessories and statement pieces. The clothing sizes are a standard XS-L range and for standard height. If you're short like me make sure whatever you pick can withstand some alterations. The home decor pieces in here were limited but all beautiful. Really, this is a cute place to pick out a date night or event outfit. They have all the perfect summer casual attire for lakeside living -- sunglasses, big Breezy pants come on and adorable swimsuit cover ups plus all the accessories you could want to go along with them and lots of fun gift ideas. The backside of the store is a little bit cramped, but otherwise the layout is lovely. I've been delighted with the cover up dress that I got on my recent visit. While exploring Grand Haven during the coast guard festival, we stopped in to explore this cute little boutique. Their prices are a little on the high side but nothing I wouldn't expect for a location on the main strip of shops in a popular coastal town. They have decor both large and small, women's clothing, accessories, and nice items for gift giving. The woman working in the shop was friendly and checked to see if there was a shirt in my size in the back for a girl's STEM program they were supporting which I really appreciated. They had some very nice summery dresses in all kinds of patterns and other casual wear. I ended up with a t-shirt and a small crossover purse that was made from recycled materials. The owner of this business is incredibly rude. I recently made a purchase and asked to use store credit. I was told I didn't have any. When I went back to make the return, they only would give me more store credit only to learn I already had $50 in store credit that an employee "didn't know how to use". Instead of giving me a refund, I now have "credits" that apparently some people don't know how to apply. When I pushed the issue she informed me I could either take the credits or they could "refuse my return". As a citizen and teacher in this community I found her unapologetic and rude demeanor to be very off putting. I will be bringing my business else where from now on. read more

Such great customer service. Emily was super helpful right from the moment we walked in the store looking for a paddle-board. She was knowledgeable and knew her products but not pushy with sales talk. We ended up negotiating a great package deal for 2 beautiful paddle boards and are very happy with our purchase. This is the place to get stylish clothes and things for your home... the best part is they have really low prices!!!!!!!!!! I bought 4 outfits for under $200 for a Vegas trip! What a gem of a store. I'm not a shopper by nature, and I go out of my way to avoid places like this in tourist towns as the prices are normally extremely overinflated. However, while taking a relaxing stroll in downtown Grand Haven, I saw something in the window that caught my attention, and I ventured in to take a look. I'm so glad that I did! What I found was a wonderful, unique selection of home decor, clothing and jewelry. The owner does her own buying and she has lovely taste and a very strong sense of customer service. The best surprise of all is that her prices are completely reasonable! What a pleasant find in the land of souvenir shops and art galleries. I left with a handful of items, as did my sister, and I can guarantee you that we'll be back for more. My only regret is that this little shop is not in my hometown. read more

Bought four beautiful pieces of clothing for less than 100.00 dollars and have received comments about them whenever I wear them.
