All of the generic brand items taste great, I have never bought something from Aldi and thought that it was inedible. They are a smaller grocery store and may not carry everything that you will need, especially if you need something more specific for a certain recipe. You can definitely get most of your staple grocery items at Aldi and you will be amazed at how much you can save compared to regular grocery stores! The produce is so cheap and great quality. Bring a quarter if you want a grocery cart, you have to put a quarter in the cart to unlock it. Bring your cart back when you're finished and you get your quarter back. Also, bring old bags, reusable bags, or boxes because you have to bag your own groceries. They also have bags that you can purchase if you need to. While the quarter for a cart and the bring your own or pay for bag policies seem strange, the company says it's a way in which they are able to keep prices low.
