Down South Classics has a great auto mechanic! He can do literally anything when it comes to rebuild, replace, or repair and if he does not know something, you can sure bet he finds the source to learn how and get it done! :) He puts all his effort and spends days + nights, if need be, to get something repaired or done in a timely manner. His pricing for sure beats most body shops I have ever come across in the area, his estimates are usually cheaper than any other auto or body shop around. His work is great, and my car runs better than it ever has, it seems. Tune-ups, repairs, and replacements...he does what he can to get your vehicle up and back on the road in a reasonable amount of time and for a decent price for sure!! They also have an assistant that helps the mechanic and at your request she will vacuum your car and wipe it down for you, so you can have peace of mind and a clean vehicle when you return it to the road. I highly recommend DSC and their mechanic to anyone that's on a budget but needing repairs or some vehicle maintenance done. I give him 5 stars but would give more if it would let me. Matt has had my friends car for three months and will not answer his phone and when he does answer the phone, he says cars not ready

Matt Dodds was supposed to do some bodywork and painting on my 1942 Dodge pickup I dropped it off in August of 2023 and was supposed to be finished before Christmas 2023 but did not get it back until April 2024 time frame. He was also supposed to undercoat the fender wells and put up a rubber flap to protect the battery in the front fender well in which he did not do also paint all the fenders a gun metal gray with a blue pearl in it and he messed up the two driver side fenders with the wrong pearl in it and buff out the truck which he did not and got over spray on all the glass, engine, and rims. once I picked it up and was able to look over the truck well that is when I found all of the issues try to get ahold of Matt, he would not answer or return call. I paid him $5500.00, the $500.00 was for the undercoating of the fenders. the other thing was the was supposed to match the blue pearl paint where he did the body work but was not able to so I had to pay an extra $200.00 for more paint, he had to paint all that was the left in blue pearl. now I have to pay someone else to fix what he messed up. I would not recommend Down south classics because Matts workman ship and communication is not very good, and he lies straight to your face. If you like paying twice for, get work done on your classic then use him. read more
