    Pulled pork nachos
    Julie S.

Fun local business. Casual and friendly atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and the service is great. The pulled pork nachos are delicious. The salads are huge and fresh. Definitely recommend the homemade ranch dressing. My friends got the Philly with fries and the rueben with tater tots and loved them ( I will admit to stealing a tater tot and it was exceptionally good ). Really great experience! Portions are large, you won't leave hungry.

However, the food wasn't executed the way I hoped. From the start the glasses that were on the table were dirty with lipstick stains on them and once we got our menu, we sort of felt rushed to order our food. The waitress was nice and I liked the chef bringing us our food, cute touch. I ordered the turkey club and I did not enjoy it. It was so huge and the remoulade sauce with the Dijon mustard was an overkill. The Cajun fries weren't good either, the seasoning didn't really taste good. It was as almost like something was missing. Overall, I probably didn't order the right dish but I still was not impressed unfortunately. Lots of space in here and great natural lighting but the food didn't do it for me. Maybe next time...

The inside of this place looks so much better since Lou Lou took over this building. We had been here when other establishments were here. We started off with the Bayou Dip which was amazing and enough for 4-6 people. Then we shared the Bayou Sampler, again, enough food for 4-6 people. Everything was delicious. We came home with plenty of leftovers and the two of us with tip was around $75.00. It sounds expensive for lunch until you see how much food you get.

The service is wonderful, the food is flavorful, the TVs are on ESPN, and the subtle music puts Coals over the top. You will be dancing in your seat at the smokiness of the meats & crispy bacon on the Buchertown Pizza which is my favorite. The lunch specials are top tier! You can add a house salad or soup to any lunch for $2-3 bucks. Seems like the salad would be basic for the price but it's far from that. Full of fresh veg, yummy diced mozzarella, home made croutons and I could drink the balsamic vinaigrette. I even put a little salad on my pizza! Parking & time from sitting to food on table is quick due to the huge ovens. Quality is amazing at the Shelbyville location. Soooo good!!

We had the Waverly and were both so impressed we came back and got the Hawaiian and another Waverly. Both were solid! Great flavor and also not so large you feel stuffed. We've only gotten them as takeout, so no commentary on service or ambiance of the restaurant. If you're in the mood for some quality pizza, this is your spot!

She was so funny and you could certainly tell that she enjoyed her job. One of our residents goes there often with his family and he really sings her praise. There seems to be more food choices this time, but it may just be that I always just got chicken tenders! lol. This trip I did look at the menu and found something I loved. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito that had Bacon, 3 Scrambled eggs, Cheese and Shoestring size fries tucked inside the Burrito. I also ordered a side salad instead of fries. The salad was really good. It had some small bit of tortilla chips in it. Which had just the right crunch. Oh my! It was delicious! My husband ordered the Bacon Burger. It was really a large burger and he loved it. He had Cole Slaw and really liked it. My friends sitting next to me ordered steaks and I didn't know that steaks were on the menu. Another friend had Hot Dogs with all the toppings. I also am posting the menu pages for you to look at. We sat at 3 high topped chairs and stools, but you can also choose to sit at the regular tables up at the front end of the restaurant. If you want to take your dog with you to Double Dogs for an outing, there are outdoor tables that are fenced in, so you can bring them along to eat. We really had a great time and next time I go, I'm hoping to get Sarah for our server again. I loved her smile and the speedy way she got us our food and drinks and kept our glasses filled. We went at 6:00 and it was still the quieter time of the day. Then people started coming in that had been to the track and the volume came up a bit. It's a great restaurant for families and for groups of friends. Check out the menu! We are sending a special thank you to CHAD DENNISON, GM at Double Dogs for being such a supporter of Swan Pointe! We were very glad to see Kevin Elkins, the GM of Connors there that day. He is a great supporter of Swan Pointe. We sat at the 2 round tables and 6 booths. We were assigned 2 fabulous servers, Julian and Dzenan. Our server was Dzenan and he came around to our table and introduced himself and how he would be setting out water at each person's place setting and then he'd go around getting the drink orders and appetizers and bring out our freshly made rolls and butter. We looked over the menu and many decisions were made. Not only did we have our 2 servers checking on us, there were several chefs that came out to see if we were doing ok. The food started appearing around the room and my goodness it smelled delicious. I walked around the tables and grabbed pictures of pretty much everyone until my food was at the table and my husband was getting ready to text me. The servers didn't hover over us but kept refilling water glasses and pitchers and bringing back rolls and then clearing the tables. Being able to take advantage of smaller meals, and lower prices was really great for our group. That doesn't mean that our group had tiny portions, my steak was a 7oz Sirloin. We had a wonderful time and really look forward to returning again. Many of us come back frequently now that we've been here oftenand know what great service we get, how great the food is and how pleasant the ambiance is at Connors.

No wait and we were seated immediately in a booth. Service was great the entire visit. Our server Renne was knowledgeable, efficient, and kept things moving. Unfortunelky when we sat, our server let us know they were out of calamari, which was a letdown since it is one of their #1 appetizers. Here's the breakdown: Prickly Pear Margarita $15 This was sweet and smooth without being overly strong. The flavor leaned slightly toward raspberry. Easy to drink and well balanced. I liked it Complimentary bread We were served two warm rolls with a herb style pesto butter. The bread was fresh and soft inside with a light crust. Simple but very good, especially for something complimentary and unlimited. Fried mushrooms $13 Good portion size. The breading was light and crisp but not heavy, so you still got the mushroom flavor through it. The texture was tender, almost soft like cauliflower when cooked right. What really made this dish was the sauce, a spicy chipotle style aioli with a creamy base. That sauce was honestly better than the mushrooms themselves. Lobster bisque Included with the entree. Very creamy, smooth texture, rich color. The flavor was solid but slightly muted. There were very few visible lobster chunks, which was the main downside. It tasted more like a creamy seafood soup than something loaded with lobster. Still, as a free included side it was fine. A bit more salt and actual lobster pieces would improve it a lot. 14 oz Ribeye $43 This was the main event and it was great. Ordered medium rare and it came out exactly medium rare. The steak had a solid charcoal grilled crust on the outside without being overly burnt or bitter.Added some really great flavor. Some places overdo the char and it takes over the meat. Inside was juicy, tender, and a perfect mix of fat and meat. Really solid overall. They also split the steak and plated it for two without charging extra, which included dividing the sides as well. I also like how there was a small portion of chive butter included on the plate. It was simple but added a nice touch to the the steak. Most other toppings or flavored butters were $4 extra so it was nice nice to try one for free. Loaded baked potato side Large size and fully loaded with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and butter. It was soft inside with a proper fluffy texture, not dry or undercooked. Pretty standard steakhouse loaded potato. Strawberry shortcake Complimentary dessert with a candle for the special occasion, which was a nice touch. This was easily the highlight of the entire meal. Perfect balance between cake and strawberry filling. The strawberries tasted fresh and had real sweetness rather than being overly syrupy. Honestly one of the best strawberry shortcakes I've ever had and I grew up eating the ice cream pops. Highly recommended. Overall: Service was great, solid food, fair prices, and the dessert was excellent. The biggest downside was the calamari being unavailable, especially since it is their #1 app. I'll be back to actually try the calamari next time.
