I called this morning to ask a simple question regarding establishing primary care and when the next available appointment they have. I was patched over to another line without no warning that my call was going to be transferred. For a moment I thought my call dropped but then it started ringing. I let it rang for a good minute and no answer. I ended the call and called them back. This time some lady answered and I posed my question. I was informed their soonest available appointments would be in January 2026. I was about to thank her for the info but she hung up on me before I could get a word in. I knew not to see any medical profession in Oroville, exclude pediatricians, because they are unreliable, lack customer service, empathy and sympathy. I guess Chico will continue to be my go to. read more

Had to see the obnoxious PA twice within two wks. He wasn't happy that I returned. He was very nasty to me. I've seen him before for the same issues & he was nice, but not this time. He said he can't help me anymore & to see my dr. He doesn't have to worry about me going to him ever again. He was very arrogant, short & hurtful. He's always the same one there & seems to be the only one whenever i've gone there. If he was overworked, it wasn't my fault. When I asked for something, he just about threw it at me. Dove's Landing otherwise, has been a good experience other than this Urgent Care provider. Hope he hasn't chased others away, the way he has done to me. read more

I had a doctor here some time ago. Once I showed up for my appointment and they told me I didn't have an appointment eventhought I had an appointment card with the date and time. Another time I was told I missed my appointment by an hour, again I had an appointment card with the time. I was just referred to a specialist here and had an appointment for 2:30. With the history I've had with them, I called and checked and they moved my appointment to 2:00 without telling me. The only thing she could tell me that it was changed by the clinic. No notice, just changed. Here we go again. If you must go here check and double check thier work, the support staff here is terrible. read more

Kind and compassionate staff. Beyond knowledgeable drs and physicians. The place is very clean and well kept. Long line are handled quickly by a long line of front desk staff waiting to assist you. A pharmacy there on site makes it super easy for the drs to send over your prescriptions and you literally walk down the hall after your appointment and they are already ready once you get there. Very impressed and highly recommend read more

Save urself the time and do not go here. They are actually the laziest and WORST place to go. Time and time again I find myself without any help actually done and HOURS wasted. Don't go. Save urself the time and money they'll literally poke at you, hypothesize or GUESS what's wrong just to get patients in and out they DO NOT CARE nor will it be helpful or effective at all. read more

I just wanna post this so everybody knows why Oroville Hospital is so fucking worthless. It's because they want you to go back through the ER so they can charge you for an emergency room visit. Preferably from a state funded program like Medi-Cal. It's a guaranteed payment in their pocket. So if you go to urgent care or your primary care practitioner or anybody else within this facility, they're gonna defer you to the ER for anything that urgent care should be able to deal with they will defer you to the ER. The doctors are absolutely worthless. Will cut your medication without your permission. After years of running around, I should know a full well not to walk blindly out of an office without knowing the quantities that they're prescribing, with that being said you should be able to trust your doctor enough to think that they are not gonna cut your medication in more than 1/2. And also ripping you off medications that the other doctors have you on like they know what's best. Everybody just run to Enloe, where at least they have a doctor in the emergency room and doctors that have a nut sack to prescribe what you need. I'll be pulling all of my care from Doves landing and Oroville Hospital until Enloe hopefully buys it. read more

I don't know why this place has two stars everytime I have had an appointment with them the staff has always been very helpful, kind, friendly and I never have to wait too long to be seen. read more

Got here at 9 AM when it opens waiting room has cleared out several times because they take appointments been waiting here for two hours. Only one person ahead of me for urgent care will not be coming back. Don't advertise as urgent care nothing urgent about it. Currently still waiting read more

Multiple times in the last month have gotten a call stating they need to cancel my appointment less than 30 minutes before the appointment. They state that "you should have never been scheduled at this time, the person that scheduled you didn't know what they were doing" and the next available appointment is a month later. Today they cancelled 15 minutes before my appointment, glad I was halfway there before they decided to call and cancel. No wonder everyone hates coming here, heaven forbid you have to call them too that's easily 15-20 minutes before anyone will answer. read more

clinic. I went in to Doves with a lot of throat pain, ear pain. I honestly don't think neither the staff doing vitals etc, know what they are doing. This day the whatever she was was, just slapped the blood cuff on, no warning my arms were hanging down. she says, your bp is 185/ a bit high. Why of course, she didn't do it correctly. She then asked me for my weight, which they nor do as you come in. I could barely talk, swallow, my ears was killing me. she swabbed my throat and the PA came back and said it was negative. He never checked my ears, he did however since I was running a fever, take a flu and COVID test which he said was negative. He really just didn't seem to care as to how I was feeling, in fact , he said you will be just fine and sent me packing. No what to do, or what to take etc. It was weird. Thats not the first time, that I dwelt with this type of unprofessional behavior in this clinic. Its unfortunate when u can't get in to see your doctor and sent to urgent care. The unfortunate thing here is years back my rapid strep came back negative which turned out to be a false positive. Since my fever continued to rise over the next few days, my doctor ran a different type of lab strep test. It was very positive he said with the worse streptococcus ever. I was immediately hospitalized at Enloe. The doctor said , since I had Rhumatic fever as a child, he needed to be very cautious with this. When I suggested to the so-called nurse or whatever she was to consider that test, she said tell the provider when he comes back in. I thought, why bother, he didn't seem to care. Makes you wonder why they even choose this field if they aren't people conscious. C. Lloyd read more

Appalling Experience. Unprofessional examination without prior warning or consent. Nurse's insensitive comments and rough handling exacerbated my distress. Excessive wait times (13 hours) and ineffective treatment only added to my suffering. Unacceptable care. Unprofessional examination, poor communication, excessive wait times and ineffective treatment. Patients deserve better care and compassion. During examination a healthcare provider failed to provide prior warning, abruptly manipulating my leg, causing significant distress. I was reduced to tears. Upon transfer to a bed, the nurse made insensitive remarks, questioning my need for a wheelchair. The nurse pulled me out of the chair causing me to scream in pain because he didn't check my chart first even though I told them where my pain was.. Despite 8 hours of waiting for a bed in discomfort, I received ineffective treatment with lengthy gaps between medication administrations. The 13 hour ordeal was marred by poor communication, rough handling, and neglectful care. I left after 13 hours of ineffective treatment. read more

In Nov., I saw Thor, a very worthless PA. I went in with very severe left groin/back pain. He never examined me, never touched me until I asked him to look at a blister I had. First he said no, then he reneged & finally looked at it. Yesterday, Feb 24th., I was finally diagnosed with two pelvic fractures!!!!!! I have seen four other providers for this same issue in all these mos. Not sure what's wrong with our medical field anymore, but way too many worthless providers. They weren't all from O.H., so can't put the blame on them. This needed to be said, as much as I hate complaining about anyone. If he had ordered the right tests in Nov., I wouldn't still be in horrendous pain. Hope to never have to deal with this person again. Dove's Landing is such a beautiful building with some great people working there. Sadly, this was a very bad experience read more

They have a very high turn-over rate of doctors. In 4 years, I've been assigned to 4 different practioners. I don't have complaints about the doctors I've seen, but I wish I could just have continuity of care. Dr. Challburg was the best, but he retired. The wait time varies. Sometimes it can take 1-2 hours to be seen .... and today it was only 15 minutes wait. It's can be a hassle trying to get routine medications refilled. Oftentimes you have to be seen by the doctor first for no reason. I've been on the same medication for 30 years and just needed a refill, but I had to be seen by the doctor first. Ugh The billing department sucks. Requesting copies of your medical records is a big hassle too. Given the shortage of doctors in Butte County, I guess Doves Landing is better than nothing. read more

I called for an appointment from a referral and I never got a return call back! I tried calling again and they put me on hold for 40 minutes until I gave up! if you cannot communicate with anybody how can you get health care? what if you are in pain or you are an urgent need to discuss an issue with your doctor ? and if you have to go to the Oroville hospital emergency room that's another impossibility with a 6 to 12 hour wait although when I did go to the ER the doctor I saw and the admitting staff and the nurses were absolutely excellent the emergency room itself was in desperate need of cleaning and there was no soap in the bathrooms they had also left an old lady in hard seated wheelchair crying for hours in there so I am not sure about how a person gets efficient Healthcare in Oroville a person most certainly can't get it if you cannot communicate with anybody to get it! read more

So it's my first time here. In sitting in the lobby after checking in. There is loud talking between the staff members. So I go in yelp to see the comments about this place. Every post with a one star rating was true. Staff is just one cut above McDonald's. I could go on and on about this, but I don't have time to waste this time. I have no complaint about the doctor I saw. He was very professional and understanding. My recommendation is to go to Enloe in Chico or Ride out in Marysville if you can. read more

Dove's landing has no respect for their patients. They overbook which causes long delays in seeing your doctor. When you have an appointment time, you should never have to wait over an hour and a half to see the doctor. The problem is Oroville Hospital has a monopoly on medical care in Oroville and they push the offices to overbook. No respect for the patient. read more

I've been coming here since they opened. I use the offices, urgent care and lab. The staff has always been courteous and kind, maybe a bit overwhelmed due to the clinic being so busy. The offices are clean, and I've never waited more than an hour total, which is not unusual for a busy clinic. The only complaint I have is that they can't seem to keep doctors & PA's, not really sure what that is about. In addition to my own medical care, my 90 year old mother was a patient there ... she had end stage dementia when I moved her up here. Her care was excellent, both from her doctor and home health. I'd give 5 stars if they could just hold on to the wonderful PA's they keep hiring who continue to leave. read more

I phoned to speak with an office tech concerning a recent medication inquiry. Janelle, was the person whom I first spoke with. When I asked a question her response was short and her communication skills were lacking. I asked if I could leave the PA a message and she stated "you left a message" "when the documentation is completed then someone will contact you". I asked her to refer me to a supervisor and was on hold. Another receptionist answered, whose name I unfortunately forgot, began her conversation with "I was right next to Janelle and she was not rude and you did already leave a message" I then asked to speak with the supervisor and the person stated that the supervisor was not there and that the PA I saw regarding this medication was not in. She placed me on hold for quite sometime then I hung up. I phoned my insurance and was able to get answers and an approval for insurance to cover medication. The customer service person contacted my pharmacy and faxed over documentation to Doves Landing. Towards the end of the day a Suzanna phoned from Doves Landing and left a voice message :s Voice Mail to Text: Hi this message is for Nicole this is Suzanna from Doves Landing office calling you back regarding your medication. I'm calling because I spoke with the pharmacy and there's no prior auth needed. It's just that the copayment is higher price even if we did that prior off the copayment would not change but it is a covered item. It's just that it has a high co-pay so call me back if you have any other questions. My name is Suzanna and the number is 712-2171 thank you. I called and asked to speak with Suzanna and let her know her statement was incorrect and I contacted my insurance and spoke with customer service who assisted me with transferring me to a pharmacist to answer questions concerning previous medication that was tried and not effective. Suzanne then sounded a bit different stating "so it wasn't a copay issue" I stated it did need a pre authorization and I resolved the medication pre auth with my insurance handling things correctly and politely. Proper training needs to occur. Humility and humanity go hand in hand. read more

The PA nurse was too busy chewing her gum. She acted like she didn't want to be bothered

This is for Dove's Landing Urgent Care Clinic- my primary care physician is in Chico where I live, but I work in Oroville. I recently I came down with a bad case of bronchitis that hung on forever, and went to Dove's Landing urgent care clinic twice cause I didn't want to drive back to Chico during my work day. The clinic was super clean, both times I only waited a few minutes and the reception staff were polite and friendly. I saw 2 different doctors, both were great. The walk in clinic was so nice I'm tempted to drive back to Oroville if I ever need to hit a clinic again, much faster and nicer then the ones in Chico, and way better then sitting at an ER. read more

Have made 2 appointments with Dr foster for biopsy for prostate cancer, he has cancelled both. Vacation was first reason ," not going to be in today" was the other. 2 weeks postponement for each. If there was a chance to rate this practice a zero I would. I am not a patient there but have had dealt with them on several occasions as I am a caregiver to someone who has been a patient there. Though they have several receptionists, they are completely unorganized. When calling you are guaranteed to be on hold for long periods of time no matter what time of the day you call. Often times while being on hold you are hung up on. Often I've requested to talk with someone by name, I'm then placed on hold again only for the call to be picked up by another receptionist and again I have to request that someone again and again I'm placed on hold. Sometimes it's happens several times over before I actually reach the person I requested. One time I went thru this entire process and actually reached Oroville hospital when the person I'm requesting was located in the doves landing practice and I knew that which I why I called there to begin with. This type of thing happened on more then one occasion. They are horrible at relaying messages as well. And they do not know how to triage in scheduling patients. I've had several years experience working in doctors offices to know they aren't doing it. I discourage anyone from becoming a patient there. Go to Chico if necessary. read more

Can i give it zero stars! First the girls at the reception area were talking about a co worker and how shes depressed, full of anxiety and having a rough life, obviously loud enough for the patients in the waiting room too hear. Then i wait almost an hour between waiting room and put in exam room. I was the second appointment for the day. How can a Dr/clinic get that far behind very first thing in the morning. No one checked on me, no came to explain she was running late. NOTHING! Born in this town and been here my whole life, its a shame i want to to go out of town for shopping, dr apt and anything else. no wonder Oroville Hospital and Doves Landing has such a bad name. read more

Absolutely the worst office staff of any doctor's office. You sit on hold for more than a 1/2 hour to try to talk to a human, then they put you on hold again or don't help you, or say they will call you back with information but then never do. I sent a letter to them in February of 2016 and several e-mails asking for a response and now it is December 2016 with no response. In 2015 even though I called and called I waited months for the results of a test, or even a return call, then to finally be told I had to make another appointment to get the results and was charged another co-pay. The doctors might be good, but the office will kill you! read more

The doctors here are fine, but the billing dept. will charge you over and over for the same visit. This has happened twice now, and I won't be returning. The most recent time, a few month ago, I paid upfront, got a receipt saying 0 balance and also the name of the receptionist at the desk who took my money. A couple of months later I am billed again, and spend an hour straightening it out on the phone. They tell me my balance is indeed 0. A month ago they send me a check for $13 saying that I was overbilled. This week I got another bill from them saying I owe $25 for the same visit I paid for upfront. So I get on the phone, and they say that the computer is having issues, but I still have to pay the $25, even though she can see in front of her that I paid at the time of my doctor's appointment. I have receipts for everything, but they don't care. I offer to send back the refund, as she says that was a mistake also, but to no avail. I ask to speak to a supervisor, am put on hold, and then hung up on. AVOID LIKE THE PROVERBIAL PLAGUE!! read more

This is for Dove's Landing Urgent Care Clinic-Was not able to see my primary care provider since I was visiting family in Oroville so had to go to an urgent care clinic. I saw Marshall, who I think is a PA, within 20 minutes of arriving. He was great and treated my issue aggressively which I really appreciated. I requested my prescription be sent to CVS. After waiting at CVS for an hour and being less than helpful they informed me my insurance did not cover this medication and there was nothing they could do to help me and suggested I call my insurance company. Marshall had told me if I had any issues to let him know and he could try to find a prescription that was covered by my insurance, so I headed back to the pharmacy at Doves Landing. They said they needed the prescription from CVS so rather than wait ages for CVS to send it I went back to the clinic and Marshall was more than happy to send it to their pharmacy and again said let him know if there were any issues. Anne was working at the pharmacy and helped sort out the issues and was able to find a medication that did not cost a fortune. Thank you both for going the extra mile! read more
