This office does have very strict scheduling guidelines though; you need to give them a deposit of $300 before you come for your first appointment and there's a $100 no show fee from then on out. Still, I think this office is worth the hassle. It's so hard to find a great doctor and office staff who prioritize patient needs. I'm very pleased with my experience and will continue coming back!

When we called back after a minute, the representative was not on his seat and we kept on trying to reach him twice. Thereafter, we reached out to your normal desk and they informed us the appointment has already cancelled. After hearing this, we requested to speak to the manager in charge, who started yelling and saying we are wasting her time by constantly discussing this and we are blacklisted without listening our side of story. The person was extremely rude and it was her whose pitch was very high! I never posted a negative yelp review, but was left with no other choice in this situation. It is important to let everyone know that they don't reschedule the appointment and simply cancel it for which a high cancellation amount is charged. Further, the staff behaves badly. Can't comment on the doctor as I never visited but the overall staff experience was very negative.

Even though she does not talk much (which could feel cold in the beginning for some people), she was always ready to answer my questions and made sure I knew what to expect in the next stages of my pregnancy. Her effort and kindness was especially commendable given the fact that, most of our appointments occurred during the early months of the COVID pandemic, where vaccine was not available, and yet Donna made sure to see her patients in person. Donna and her staff took great risks to care for us. My delivery was challenging. After 2.5 hours of pushing, the baby's head was just too big to squeeze through. Donna reassured me that we could still have a natural birth and suggested forceps delivery. We took her suggestion and the whole procedure went smoothly with Donna's experienced technique. As we later learnt, Donna is THE expert in forceps around the area and we felt so lucky to have her deliver our baby. Overall, my experience with Dr. Wiggins and the Golden Gate OBGYN was really positive. I wish I could stay a lifelong patient with them had I continued living in the bay area.

He also handled my scary delivery complications in a way that made me know my baby and me were going to be OK. I wouldn't have wanted any other doctor in the world at that moment. Also, I had never had a male OBGYN before Dr. Lam, but I am completely comfortable with him and plan to be his patient until the day he retires!

From our first meeting I felt at ease by Jen's calm presence and vast experience as both a doula and a nurse. (Coincidentally we learned Jen was a birth doula twice with our neighbors' kids too, and they assured us of their own positive experience.) My pregnancy took several unexpected twists and turns, and along the way there was no question too big or small for Jen, who'd patiently educate and encourage us to make our own informed decisions. A notable facet of my pregnancy was our baby's breech position the last month and half, when my husband and I decided to try turning him head-down through what felt like every method available. Jen provided vital support in this often stressful last stretch of pregnancy with recommendations, checkins, and referrals within the Golden Gate Doula community who could help (including a wonderful acupuncturist and chiropractor group). We went in twice for external cephalic versions (ECVs)-intensive attempts to turn baby that I felt better prepped for thanks to her guidance. She was even present for one of the procedures, during which I opted in to more intensive options I otherwise would have forgone in hopes of higher chances of success. Ultimately our little guy stayed in breech and we determined a planned C-section was safest. I was super nervous going into the surgery, and Jen helped us stay as grounded as possible by her comfort techniques, encouragement, and doses of humor at just the right moments. Her background as a UCSF pediatric nurse was especially beneficial to us as I gave birth to our son at UCSF Mission Bay, where Jen worked seamlessly with their systems and staff. I can't imagine our baby arriving as smoothly or free of complication as he did without Jen's expertise and magic touch. She's one of a kind, and we absolutely loved working with her!!

The support that she gave to my husband and I during the birth of our second baby DURING COVID is unmatched and I can't thank her enough for the beautifully positive birth experience that we had. During our pregnancy, Jen provided my husband and I with the information that we needed to make informed decisions on where we were going to deliver (we switched from CPMC to UCSF at 37 weeks) and how I was going to manage my gestational diabetes. She put me in contact with other women who had GD, which was extremely helpful to understand how the care was being managed at the hospital with COVID. She also met us in person at our home to help prepare us with techniques and equipment to labor at home. When we arrived at the hospital, Jen met us in the parking lot and escorted us in. If you've ever met Jen, you know that her presence is enough to put you at ease and instantly make you feel comfortable and taken care of. With her background, she is extremely knowledgeable on hospital procedures and decision making and walked us through each step as we were being admitted to the hospital. We ended up delivering in triage because so many babies were being born that night, but we had one of the larger and more spacious rooms all due to Jen and her experience in knowing the hospital layout and in working with the UCSF staff. We also had an unmedicated birth, which would not have been possible had Jen not coached me through each stage and gave me the strength and confidence to keep going. My recovery was quick and easy due in large part to how Jen helped me to prepare before and during labor and delivery. If you are thinking about getting a doula, look no further - get on her schedule before she fills up!

It's really hard to find an obgyn you jive with. Just how it goes. I've seen a few, in a few…read moredifferent states. So, some thoughts. -Yup, as of June 2019, still paper charts. EMR ain't no picnic either. Both have their pluses and minuses. Don't fault people for the paper. -Yup, I had one billing mistake, one address mistake and two medical history mistakes. This isn't the Drs fault. It's the medical assistants fault who either misheard or wrote down the information incorrectly. When Dr.Hom reviewed the information, we reviewed what the MA wrote down was wrong. MA's don't have a ton of training people. Couple weeks to months of coursework. If your blood pressure comes back wonky atypical for your normal range or a weird note appears in your record, just review it with the doctor. -Dr. Hom was very personable.I saw her for an annual and preconception visit. But, yes, as other reviewers have stated she does have a thing about chubbers. And, to some degree, understandably so, extra weight can have fertility and pregnancy implications. That said, I don't think she was particularly rude about it. She just suggested I cut carbs. As a lifelong hourglass thicc human: dearest doctor, it would be cool if it was all that simple. Like you, I too, was a ballerina. And in my post ballet afterlife I have come to carry all my junk in my hips and thighs. I don't eat many carbs or much meat though. I'm just shaped like my curvy latin family. All doctors make assumptions and have bias- I would say hers seemed fairly standard and innocuous as things go. Having seen three other obgyn during my last pregnancy and taken a tour of the dysfunctional offices of SF, I feel reasonably assured saying this one is medium good. Definitely fine for a simple pap at least. (Extra star 'cause I just really appreciated Dr. Homs personality. Personality matters when you've got someone poking around down there.)

She fixed the problem, my Pap smear normal until now. Now I have another problem down there, she also very knowledgeable, and told me what I have to do. If you have problems or abnormal pap smear, I highly recommended to see her. Her office staffs also helpful & easy to communicate, last time I have new insurance, on the chart billing out of pocket but I already asked the office staff to scan my new insurance on my appointment, I also leave message on portal, they fixed the problem and submitted to my insurance, very nice.

Very intuitive...she noticed I was on the verge of nearly FAINTING from shock after the exam (no fault of her own, just my low threshold for pain) and allowed me some extra time to stay in the room and take a breather.
