I arrived at 4:30, filled out a quick form and was taken back into an exam room. The staff member who took me back was lovely, and got myself and my mother water. I was then told that Dr Zurek had to do a "quick exam" on another patient. Dr Zurek didn't get to me until 5:10pm; he left me sitting for 25 minutes. When he came into the room, he was bombastic and spoke loudly about how he had been having a busy day. I was there to talk about dentures/dental implants. He started by asking me why my teeth were so bad; when I told him that there were issues in both my mother and father's sides of the family with teeth, my explanation wasn't good enough. He began the discussion of my options by asking if the reason my teeth were bad was because I was "lazy or had bad dental hygiene", saying he needed to know in order to best assess what type of dental prosthetic would work for me. During the discussion, I broke into tears at least three times. I really felt that I was being talked down to and judged. Dr Zurek spent a great deal of time touting his expertise and abilities. He suggested a solution that would cost $65,000, although I had mentioned that cost was a concern. I felt zero compassion from him. At one point, I was crying with my head down in the exam chair while he talked with my mother about my options, and I just couldn't take any more of it. When he finally asked me what I thought, I told him that I thought that I needed to leave, took off my dental "bib", got up and grabbed my purse; I walked right out. As I was leaving, he called after me that it was "very important that I be involved in the discussion", but I refused and left the office, going outside and sitting on the practices stairs until my mother followed a few minutes later and we both left. I feel traumatized by this experience, and cannot believe I was spoken to like a naughty child. I am 49 years old and do not need that from someone I am going to for help, with the intention of paying him a large amount of money for his services. I wish there was a rating of "0 stars" because my experience with the doctor was TERRIBLE.

He goes beyond just the orthodonics, he is interested in the overall health and what the general dentist is doing. The kids enjoy going and like him. The staff is professional and friendly, the office is very clean and modern. I was reccommended to him for my three kids and drive 45 minutes for appointments, but I would gladly drive even farther knowing that my children are getting the best care possible from a professional that I trust.

Careful watching of any potential issues. Example: I had a 'spot' on a tooth beginning in 2001 that wasn't filled until 2010. We talked about it at each visit and careful management lead to only a small filling almost 10 years later! 5. Even cavity filling is relatively low stress 6. Andrea and Liza are also incredibly kind and welcoming--they make every visit comfortable from the moment I walk in. I originally went in because years of grinding my teeth had started chipping them away, to the point where I actually broke one. Dr. Hamdan recommended trying Botox for my TMJ and grinding. I had never had Botox before, and it honestly wasn't something I was looking to do. But if it meant protecting my teeth, I was willing to give it a try. Two weeks later, I can confidently say my grinding has decreased by about 80%. I barely clench my jaw anymore, the constant pressure and soreness are gone, and it's made a huge difference in my day-to-day comfort. As a bonus, it even slimmed my jawline a bit! She numbed me with novocaine and then kept asking "does that feel ok now." I had no idea what she was doing or what "ok" meant. I'm completely numb, how am I supposed to know that I'm biting on a filling? So she just kept shaving more and more of my tooth off. When I accused her of being rushed in an email I was told that she took her time. So I guess I will say that she very thoughtfully and methodically shaved the inside of my molar flat and to a tiny sharp point. For weeks until I could get into another dentist I chewed on one side and had headaches and jaw pain. I can't believe that my bite is never going to line up and again and my tooth will feel misshapen and deformed from now on. Now the right side of my jaw clicks because my teeth don't line up. I wake up every morning in shock because I can't believe someone would do this to me. On top of that, this "dentist" and the rest of the staff seem to have no idea what's going on. When I initially came in for a cleaning I asked for an out-of-pocket quote for a mouthguard and was told it was a little over $500. Also, I asked about making an appointment for both the cavity and to fix a loose filling, but was told to only do one at a time. When I get there for my filling appointment I was told that the appointment was for both, even though I only made the appointment for the cavity filling. I was also told by the receptionist that they hadn't heard back about the night guard. Then 10 minutes later the "dentist" tells me that insurance denied it and it was about $900. On top of that, when I told them what I was originally quoted for, they basically called me a liar saying they have no idea how I would even get that information. After she ruined my tooth, she did offer for me to come back and look at it, but if this person can't even complete a routine filling without ruining my tooth, I would have to be crazy to go back and let her cause more damage. I had to go to another dentist who was absolutely shocked at how horrible of a job she did. He did his best to smooth it out, but it's still jagged and catches my tongue. On top of that, they billed my insurance and billed me and then wouldn't even reply to my email when I told them they owed me a reimbursement.

At this office they are fast, efficient and have fair prices. They work with your insurance company and make sure that you get paid the correct amounts and are getting your maximum benefits. Without this office I would have never had ANY dental work done during college because money was just too tight. Dr. Primiano understood when I couldn't come up with enough money to have something major done. He has done temporary caps for me until I could buy a real one, and spread out my fillings so they fit better with my budget. He has squeezed not just me in for an emergency appointment but also my boyfriend and my mother. No waiting around for 4 days with a broken filling, he will make sure and get you in ASAP. If you need a new dentist, give this office a shot.
