Came by maybe 2 hours before closing so we didn't expect to have many options. However, with the doughnut options we did have, they tasted so fresh even though we arrived towards the end of the day. Had a quick pit stop here on my way out of Atlanta. Convenient spot off the highway for the most part. The fam got their choice of specialty donuts which they all L-O-V-E-D. This was a word of mouth purchase. I was told nothing but good things about the donuts so I went here to pick up donuts for my employees. The service was nice over the phone and in person. It's a laid back donut shop as far as ambiance. The cinnamon swirl donut was the best I've ever had! I enjoyed the red velvet donut and gave my mom the blueberry one when I got home. If you like sweet, sweet, sweet tea then you probably would love these donuts. Most of the donuts I saw like red velvet were a cake donut that were then glazed but then they take it up a notch by taking a chocolate cake donut, glazing it then adding a chocolate layer on top. Me personally I like plain old fashions no glaze. The crunchy exterior along with a dense but at the same time moist interior is my jam. These donuts are more of the lighter type vs the dense and smaller than I'm use to but wherever I go , trying local donuts are alway a treat. I don't know what it is about those little popping bubbles, but I just love them. This place is extremely generous with their bubbke Let's get back to the donuts and baked goods. I'm addicted to the donut holes. They are light and the glaze isn't too sweet. They have hot dogs wrapped in pastry and make delicious looking breakfast sandwiches. I visited this place today, just ten minutes before closing. The customer service was impeccable, I requested jelly filled and she went out of her way to get fresh ones from the back. They were amazing too. The blueberry filled was the best. She also threw in some extra donut holes which didn't even make it home. All the donuts were so fresh they just melted in your mouth. I have passed by this shop several times and just hadn't gone in. One day I made it my mission to drive over and try them out. If you are going to try 2-3 donuts, you might as well get a mixed dozen and share some with your coworkers. That's what I did. The donuts here are very good. Better than the commercial Dunkin and Krispy Creme. I love that they offer just as many flavors as the commercial places, so I didn't feel limited. Their donuts were fresh at pick up and still fresh the next morning. (I may have kept one glazed for myself to have with my coffee the next day :) the first to go at my job were the flavored donuts. Yum! The best part about moving to a new city is trying new, local eats. I've been eyeing this donut shop since we first started our move back in March. I finally decided to head inside and check them out. The display case was full of mouth-watering goodness. I chose the spicy sausage kaloch, a chocolate glazed donut, and a honey bun. I also sampled a glazed donut hole before ordering and everything taste fresh and I warmed another up when I got home and it melted in my mouth. I waited until I got home to try the spicy kaloch and warmed it for 30 seconds as recommended, it was so good! I've never had one before and wish I had gotten two. Another donut shop in Douglasville. Finally! Great prices and great times. Open from 5am -7pm. I can't complain when they have a 6 for 5 dollar deal for donuts. They have buttermilk! Maple bacon. Fritters and true bear claws as well as fluffy donuts! I love that this is an independent location with the love baked into their donuts. I had all of the above donuts and they did not disappoint! It was pretty awesome how much there was to choose from. I just wish that I bought a coffee. Oh darn another reason to come to back! Seriously Douglas donuts you have won over another customer in the Douglasville area! I only gave it 4 stars because I think that it could improve with the maple bacon donut ( the bacon seem fresh ). Wanted to check out this new edition to Douglasville after hearing great things about it and did not disappoint. Arrived on a Saturday morning to grab a few donuts for myself and a friend. Although the line was almost out the door, it moved rather quickly. I was pleased with how friendly the staff was as they thanked everyone for their patience. Yay!!!! A brand new donut place in Douglasville. Finally gave them a try. I was extra excited to give them a visit since a friend of mine told me all about them. I walked in and immediately noticed the display of assorted donuts, bear claws, and even the maple bacon donut that looked sinfully good. I had a little trouble understanding the young lady who worked there, she had a thick accent. However; I did make out that they were offering "Buy a half dozen, get two free" which is a great deal considering. I got the chocolate, chocolate frosted, strawberry filled, sprinkle, long john chocolate, glazed and strawberry frosted. I shared them all with family. Here's the deal- Douglasville Donuts is not Dunkin Donuts and definitely not Krispy Kreme, but they are decent. I wouldn't drive across town for them but if I'm in the neighborhood, sure, I'll go. I love stopping here while in Douglas County. The doughnuts are always so fresh and delicious. Service is great and they're always so loving and hospitable. I usually only get donuts but I've gotten a breakfast sandwich here and there. I don't think I'd do a sandwich or breakfast burrito ever again because their not very good and featured too many potatoes inside them. Also the smoothies are not fresh fruit fruit smoothies, they use powder instead (bleck). The kaloche left much to be desired as well. The name IS Douglas Donuts after all, and that's their shining star of the entire place. That's why I didn't deduct anything for the low points of the restaurants. I'm sure you'll love the donuts as well so go ahead and give them a shot. read more
