As a frequent business traveler, I have stayed in plenty of hotels. This DoubleTree is fairly typical for the brand and the area. Orlando has no lack of hotel options and price points. This property is a resort layout, multiple buildings of rooms which are not interconnected. The lobby is bright and basic with the typical services; front desk, gift shop, small lobby bar and a restaurant. Note you have to go outside to get to the restaurant. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. The Villa rooms are in two story buildings spaced throughout the property. The rooms are basic and clean but suffer, as most do, with a damp smell. It is Orlando and the humidity permeates everything, even in the winter. The Tower Rooms are in a 15+ story building which is s bit more like a typical hotel setting but suffer from the same damp smell. The pools appear well maintained. There is a decently equipped workout room in the Tower Building. I have stayed in multiple buildings and room types. The beds are decent but the pillows are terrible and lumpy. Overall, it is a decent hotel and as a Hilton member, the warm cookie and bottled water are a welcome, reliable custom. read more

This "resort" was ok...$89 a night is really reaching for the stars here. It wasn't dirty. The bathroom was weird, and the door didn't shut all the way, but it was clean. It was a normal, slightly shabby hotel. If we were paying $50 a night I wouldn't have a negative word to say. read more

We had a very nice room by the pool with a king size comfortable bed. Service was what you would expect. It was for only one night and most of that we where out at a party. Rate was not bad and the staff was friendly. read more

I wish there were two ways that I could rate this hotel. For a family, it is great and I would give it high Marks for cleanliness and for its amenities. The place is massive and has a lot to offer someone who is vacationing. If you are looking at it as a business class hotel which I would usually expect from Double tree, I would rate it as the worst one i have ever stayed in. The Internet is so slow that it is useless. The attention to the things a business person would not look for are simply not there. read more

Overall the room decor was nice, bed blankets seemed cheap.(stayed on the ground level corner room of the smaller building). The walls are paper thin if you are looking for some privacy or to sleep in this is not the place. We could hear everyone that walk in or out all night! The overall atmosphere of the hotel grounds is very peaceful. There are also a few spots with hammocks to lay outside and enjoy the stars. There is also a nice gym and customer service is very helpful. Next time we will look for something a little more private for the price. read more

Clean, nice, upscale, close to SeaWorld. Our room is very clean and appears to be in good condition. The AC works great and the pool is beautiful. The staff was super friendly at check in. The only negative is that they charge for parking. That's just a ding to the families and people who live in FL who drive here. read more

Not too bad. Beds are hard and no fridge like previously mentioned but they're nicely furnished and plenty of pools and bars to keep you entertained. read more

Great comfortable beds, wonderful cleaning service, and hospitable check in staff! Cookies are amazing, Sean, the Front Desk supervisor, made us feel at home. He's absolutely terrific! Keep up the good work team. #I was here a week on business read more

Late check in as we got caught in the rain. The guy at the counter as my girlfriend called him Lurch. 17 dollars to park your own car, ridiculous!! Best part is when Lurch laughs and says "well the airlines stuck it tips everyone and no one cared so now we are too." Wow!!!! I'll never stay here again. read more

My adventure has only just begun. Let me count up the horrors so far. Let's start with, for a hotel with Sea in the name, the peculiarly troublesome with the water. The room tap water tastes unsettlingly wretched; the bath water shares the smell, and burns the skin. The ironing board is broken and will not stand up.That means I can't use the smelly water to iron out my shirts. The little coffee maker broke 1/4 of a cup into making some coffee with the wretched water, and even the insta-coffee with sugar and cream could not mask the wretch that is this hotel's water. I had a reserved king bedroom. Not to do an impression of Seinfeld, but why reserve a king bedroom if the hotel will not have the king bedroom reserved, and therefore shifts the customer to a queen bedroom. What, then, is the point of a reservation, and an adjoining price tag? It is also in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by other hotels, and with no shuttle service but a hefty $34 plus tip hotel ride from the airport. read more

This hotel was amazing, the staff was excellent. Everyone was extremely helpful. Some staff members I would like to call out are: April - the front desk manager Tammy - the food and beverage manager Maizell - an amazing server who is always smiling and such a genuine happy person Sidony - another amazing server who was very pleasant and fun Ingrid - who makes the most amazing waffles and omelettes in the world. I could not have asked for a better group of individuals. Never did I want for anything that was more than a request away. They went so far above and beyond, it was extraordinary, from just their everyday service to the fact that they found out it was my birthday and had a cake waiting in my room upon checkin! Just out of this world service! read more

I stayed at this hotel over the past week during GayDays 2017. honestly, If I were to rate the hotel on its own merit I would have to rate it 3 stars since they failed to properly plan for such a large event. However, it's rating is elevated to 5 stars due to the exceptional, creative and friendly service that I received from the staff that I enclountered; particularly my bartender Joshua V. Let me explain... By the second to last day of the event the hotel was running out of stuff. I went to the bar and the ENTIRE hotel was out of one of my favorite mixers for my normal drink and I was pretty ticked off about that. Joshua quickly apologized and asked what type of drinks I liked. Once I let him know he literally said "I got you" and made me the best freaking drink I've had. It was so good in fact that I named it the "JOSHUA SPECIAL" and spread the word to all my buds. By the end of the night it was a crowd fave. Joshua T definetly is SOLEY responsible for turning a negative, subpar customer experience into a 5 star one due to his creativity, positivity and friendliness. In my humble opinion perhaps he should be DoubleTree's Beverage Manager! Thanks Joshua for making things right and resetting my customer experience! read more

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. If u ever stay here, make sure they don't put you in the 2 story motel rooms. They don't differentiate between the main building and the motel when you book the rooms. We had wrappers, dirty bathroom, leaking faucet, doors with gaps that let insects in from the outside, roach episode, completely unacceptable. I had a dog fight erupt outside my bedroom door at night when I was trying to sleep on night 1. Just ridiculous. Never again. read more

Pictures on the website are very deceiving. Starting from the entrance it did not look very inviting the lobby was very nice though. As I drove to the back, while trying to find parking, where my room was I thought it looked much like a cheap motel. The room was nice when walking in but the bathroom was so small and the shower looked disgusting. Then when I went to use the water from the small wet bar area it had mold that came out. Also when our room was cleaned they took our towels but never replaced them. I think the worst had to be no parking. I was here to run a race then I went to Disney. Last think I want to do is take a long walk to my room with bags because of no parking. read more

The walls are very thin, I can hear everyone who walks by the room and the air conditioning unit was insufferably loud! The door to our bathroom did not even close all the way, it kept getting stuck and would not shut. I felt like I was staying at a motel. The shower does not hold water well and so the entire bathroom floor just gets soaked. It is really uncomfortable to walk around with wet feet and I feel bad for throwing so many towels on the ground to keep my room from basically flooding. The breakfast buffet at the Laguna restaurant was alright, but at $21 a person, I feel like I could've gotten a much nicer breakfast. I never felt comfortable in my bed. I am not sure if Florida is just like this all the time, as it is my first time visiting... but every time I walked into my room everything felt... wet. Honestly the hotel, on the outside is beautiful. I'm sure if I had spent more money on a room I would have had a better experience, but I am on day 4 of 6 here and have contemplated leaving this hotel more than once. read more

I checked into my room and it was dirty. Beds had been slept in and towels on top. Also was facing the parking lot. When I went down to the lobby they did correct the situation and I requested a room not facing the parking lot. New room was better, but I feel like after seeing a dirty room I'm just paranoid and being picky because I still feel like it wasn't up to Hilton standards. The bathroom was tiny. Parking charge of $18/day was annoying. I stayed here before with a friend who is a gold member and her parking was waived. I'm a gold member as well but they wouldn't honor that. I don't think I'll be back unless there isn't any other option read more

This hotel is full of moldy stinky rooms. I have changed rooms three times and each one smells as bad as the first. They try and disguise it with little blue air fresheners stuck in the main vent. The bathrooms smell like they were cleaned with dirty water.... that moldy water smell. I asked if they had any issues, and they said they are cleaning the carpets all over the hotel buildings. If they were cleaned, I would think that the rooms would smell clean not moldy. To top it off, when I went to take a shower, there was no hot water...I even ran it for 20 minutes. I called sent maintenance up. I am a Hilton honors member and this is so disappointing and not the usual Hilton standard. It just seems like a huge property dedicated to tourists money and not quality. read more

This is the worst DoubleTree I've ever stayed in. It looked like a La Quinta and upon further research found out it did use to be a La Quinta back in 2006. I was actually shocked when i saw the state of the rooms and would never recommend anyone stay here for the price read more

Great breakfast options and nice pool. We stayed in the tower and really enjoyed the size of the room. There is an amazing smell that welcomes you when you walk in the lobby. Great location and right next to Sea World and the trolley read more

My husband, toddler, and I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton at SeaWorld this weekend and had a great stay. The hotel is right next to SeaWorld, and it is beautifully furnished and appears to have been recently updated. Our room was a 2 queen bed room in the tower. We had traveled up to go to SeaWorld and see Choo Choo Soul perform. The plan (and don't all new parents think they have great plans) was for me to sleep in the bed with our 2 year old the first night, and my husband to sleep with him the second night. That way we each got one night without a toddler foot jammed in our side. Unfortunately, on night one (my night) he rolled off the bed, waking with a cry. I slept holding on to him the rest of the night, and he still managed to roll out one more time (on to carefully arranged pillows). This wasn't going to work - and there was no way we could jam me, my son, and my 6'4" husband into a queen bed. What could I do? I called the front desk and Julia not only fixed my problem but was also friendly and good humored about it. Now, remember, this problem had nothing to do with the staff, hotel, property, or franchise. We made a bad choice and needed to find a solution. The rate we were on was extremely low, btw, so there really wasn't any financial motive for the Doubletree to "wow" us. I asked if it was possible and how much would it cost to move to a king room, as we had discovered a safety issue. Julia asked for a moment to check availability and came back and said they would be happy to move us at no cost. "Did we want to stay in the tower?" Yes. "Did we want to stay on the same floor?" Yes. "The same side?" Sure. "Did we want a bellman to come up and help us?" No, please, you are already being way too nice! We ended up getting the room next store which allowed us to open the connecting door and move all of our stuff from one room to the other. That night I got to sleep knowing my child was safe. We were very impressed by the Doubletree and will stay there again on our next trip up. Staff there really seems to care about the customers. Later that night I discovered that one of my shoes was missing. My husband called the front desk and they had a security person meet him so he could check in our "old" room. The guy even helped look under the beds (where they found 3 of our kid's Matchbox cars - but no shoe). The mystery was solved later when we found my shoe wedged between the two sided of our luggage, underneath it. This hotel is very pretty and has staff that will go above and beyond - moving rooms and looking under bed. They have earned our loyalty and we can't wait to stay there again. read more

My advice is to stay elsewhere. You can find other options with more bang for your buck and not get harassed about a time share! Bad: pay for parking, they aggressively push their time share, the "short walk" to seaworld is across a steaming hot parking lot without a side walk, their shuttle service sucks! it only runs twice in the morning and one of those times is an hour and a half after the parks open. the staff was apathetic and the food prices in their restaurants is very high but since there are only two restaurants in the vicinity you are left with few choices, and you have to pay for internet Good: room is clean, it has two pools and it is easy to get a cab read more

We stayed in the tower rooms and the room was pretty spacious. Restaurants were good. My only bad comment is the parking. When we were retuning from a movie late one night, we had to park pretty far away from the room. They have valet but we didn't choose to do that as it was over $20 a day. Self parking was $17 a day I believe. This place was perfect for us because they have a shuttle running to take you to sea world, Aquatica, universal! This was our first time staying there and we were pretty pleased with the experience, besides the whole parking issue. read more

the hotel and food was great. very nice friendly employees. nice room. great food.....flat bread to die for. warm cookies at check in...i love it. however, do not park youR car in the lot. we did and are very sorry we did. we paid $17 to park in the lot and come to find our truck was broken into over night. locks broken on the truck. when we called to notify the manager we were told there is no cameras in the back parking lot. come on now, no cameras yet people are paying to park in the lot. the lot is gated so who do you think did the breaking in...... employees no doubt. very disappointing after such a great weekend if you are walking over to sea world from the hotel there are foot prints to lead you for about 500 ft after entering the gate. then they just end leaving you not a clue as to which way to go. go to your left, through the parking lot of sea world. better to drive this was quite a hike to and from sea world. read more

Very nice property. I was very disappointed to find out there is a handling charge to receive a UPS package at the hotel. I was not aware of this crazy policy. I will admit, after reading some reviews, I was a bit skeptical, but the hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! My daughter was participating in a pageant there this month, and the resort was perfect. The housekeeping staff worked endlessly to maintain rooms and keep clean towels on hand, and every employee we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and we enjoyed room service a few times when my daughters schedule was hectic and we didn't have time to go out. No complaints, would definitely stay here again! read more

One of the better Doubletrees I've stayed at! You get cookies upon check-in (as you're supposed to) and they were hot and fresh! Room was nice but staff service was terrible , we had an item go missing and the supervisor failed to have security called for 3 hours. And while security was being called a maid had pulled our grandmother into another room to show her that they don't have sufficient tools to clean. The security guard that had checked the lock was very polite, but the ones that later talked to our grandmother at the pool were very disrespectful saying things like "where's your tribe now" and calling her a " scamming Gypsie ..." Our stay was very unpleasant, ok room, terrible staff read more

My first review of my life.. Service was sooo bad i created an account just to let people know... Stained carpets, bad smell, and a staff that was outright rude when taking my money.. The bartender would be upset when you ordered food, said "give me some time, it take forever." Then when ordering a drink he would roll his eyes... Got 2 extra charges on my card, then when i called the hotel to let them know, I sat on hold for 19 minutes, then they said they will open a claim, someone will contact me within 72 hours... NO CONTACT.. they stole from me.... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! read more

This place is disgusting. The pictures online are extremely misleading. Hotel was dirty and the bathroom door doesn't even shut. I decided to give my husband for his birthday today, September 26, 2020, a night at the Doubletree Hilton Orlando with a package that bought 10 days before on the Internet of hotel + Seaworld and Aquatic parks that he likes a lot, pay for 4 people 670 dollars for one night for my children and the 2 of us, it said to include the hotel parking and the parks, which did not happen and we ended up paying 50 dol to park in the 2 parks, I found a room with only 2 beds for 4 adults including my 2 children that never They have slept together because they are male and female already grown up, I told the reception that I thought I had a double room with 4 beds or at least a sofa, which was what I thought I was paying, being 160 for each one, the young man told me that I was wrong, he promised to send me an extra bed after asking for it, the bed never arrived, the soap and shampoo was put for 2 people and on top of that in the next room they had a strong argument that bothered us, for all these things we only used the room at the time of the bathroom when we returned from the parks and it was unbearable to stay there, my husband did not enjoy his birthday because we took up to a line of 1 hour to enter Sea World even with all payment in advance, with all this we decided to return today Even to Miami Beach very disappointed because not even when I said in the reservation that the reason for the trip was for a birthday, there was no deference, I hope I never return to this place I know the hospitality industry and I worked for 15 years in this profession is a shame these things happen, I do not recommend this place read more

Worst experience in Florida. Had a nice hotel booked but unfortunately had family staying here, and we wanted to stay close. Got into room one smelling like mildew. Asked to be moved and the next room had a purifier BUT STILL smelled like mildew!! Shower was cold, and it stayed cold. Didn't want to deal with moving again because of the time we checked in (almost 12am). The water at South Beach was warmer! If I had wanted to stay in a janky motel I would paid that price instead. RIP OFF. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BOOKING! read more

My husband and I were disappointed with our stay. Parking for those staying in the hotel was an extra $10 per day. Those who did not pay had to pay to get both in and out of the parking lot. Once in, it was sometime difficult to find parking. Free Wi-Fi was advertised, but only existed in the hotel lobby. If you wanted to work from your room, you had to pay $10 per day. We paid for a trip package that covered a free shuttle to and from Sea World. The shuttle apparently only makes one trip per day and was booked by the time we arrived. The room is billed as being within walking distance to Sea World, which is sort of true, but it is not well marked and requires about a mile of walking across an enormous, hot parking lot. In our room the air conditioning wasn't working properly. It was set on 60, but the room was easily 85. Someone was sent to fix it. Turns out it needed to be cleaned, which helped bring down the temp somewhat, though it never really got cool. The hair dryer didn't work, and the air conditioner guy took it away but never returned with a new one so we had to call the desk to make sure we wouldn't be charged. There was no phone book or restaurant guide of any kind, and there was a cost for making local calls. The TV reception was spotty, sometimes just quitting while we were watching, and there was not channel guide in the room. On a positive note, the staff was courteous and helpful, and our room was relatively clean with the exception of the air conditioner. Also, my daughter enjoyed the pool area. However, we felt frustrated by the accommodations overall and would not stay here again. read more

Went to Aquatica for the weekend and we got this hotel on a name your price deal. VERY impressed overall! Resort feel, VERY close to Aquatica and Seaworld at a great value with top notch security! Our party was a bit on the wild side and they gently guided us as needed... Lol The grounds are very well maintained as well. People complain about parking distance and walk but the point is to keep the vehicles out of the scenery. Had an absolutely wonderful time and will certainly be back! Best bartender - MATTY (main bar in tower) Special shout out to our new friend Reggie! He is on top of his game as 2nd in command of security and managed to corral and control our somewhat difficult crew with grace. We will be back because of Reggie! read more

Car get hit in the parking lot. The security guy said he didn't see anything. blind. Stupid attitude. Location is good.

I am a diamond member 1. out of 5--6 Hilton hotels I have been to, this is first one that charge a diamond member for breakfast..... really surprised. 2. Like most of the chain hotels around, this one also provides shuttle between hotel and parks. This hotel has free shuttle between Magic kingdom and hotel. Dec 26 2014 morning, we told the car service guy that we would return at 7pm, I also got some kind of return ticket from that guy (I still have this ticket now, since I never got a chance using it.) That evening in Orlando, it was chilly. My two kids and I waited for the pick-up from 6:30pm--7:40pm. No one came to pick us up. 3. Starting from 6:50pm -- 7:20Pm, I did ask every single bus/car driver, to see if they are the people who are supposed to pick us up. NO NO and NO. 4. Stating from 7:10pm --7:35pm, I called the hotel again and again, got transferred 4 times, till someone called a car service company to pick us up. 5. My little daughter, 5 years old, got a running nose that night, and then a fever next day morning. that also means, on that day we had to stay in hotel, a waste of 400$ for the admission to Disney parks for 4 persons..... read more
