The plus: Staff, location, free cookies, $10 credit on food at the Market, and 2 free bottles of water. The minus: Found puddle of water in my room by the AC. Had to call twice to get it fix. It has something to do with the outside temperature. I stayed in the Villa, so I had one of those AC system that sticks attached to outside. Used towels every time I came back in. Also, they are forgetful about the water bottles and when you ask the front desk, they call Housekeeping and sometimes they still don't bring them. I stayed 5 nights there. read more

As a Hilton Silver member who stays at Hilton properties regularly, this hotel was a major disappointment. The pictures online are either outdated or only show the best parts of the property. The exterior room setup with outdoor entrances reminded me more of a Red Roof Inn than a typical Hilton property. The rooms themselves were okay, but the constant noise from housekeeping carts and activity outside the rooms throughout the day made it difficult to relax and disrupted sleep. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, and even I noticed it. Service was average not particularly good or bad but communication was a problem. I had two separate reservations, one for a single night and another for five nights. When I checked in, the front desk agent told me I wouldn't need to do anything between reservations as long as I was using the same credit card. He said the hotel would handle checking me out and back in automatically. Unfortunately, that wasn't true. The next day, housekeeping knocked on my door around 2 PM asking why I hadn't checked out yet. After contacting the front desk, I was told I actually needed to come to the lobby and complete the check-out and check-in process myself. This was a significant inconvenience because it interrupted our plans for the day and forced us to delay activities due to incorrect information provided by the hotel. The location is convenient for the theme parks, but between the misleading expectations from the photos, the motel-style exterior room access, and the poor communication regarding reservations, I would not choose to stay here again. read more

Whoa this place has gone downhill massively. I've been coming here for 8 years In a row. This time was terrible. The manager Emily is gone and now I see why all the issues we had. To make this brief i was changed to 4 different rooms, I was bitten by bugs in the room, the rooms are dirty and they didn't change the sheets, the bathroom didn't have a shower curtain and the staff was awful. Just awful. I did speak to JC who knew bout all the issues and he gave us meal vouchers. Wow, that did not make up for the bite marks the bug and yes I should have did an incident report & when I checked out I was charged resort frees which was clearly supposed to be taken off. We arrived and was welcome right away. They were even able to get our room early for us to check in. When I got to the room, everything was fine and I placed my waters in the fridge provided. In the morning I noticed the waters still warm and not cold at all. I let the front desk know and they said someone take a look at it. When I got back in the evening nothing was done about it. Fridge was unplugged and still not functioning. I called the front desk and they stated they will put in request for maintenance to come the next morning, I waited until 12 and no one came. I then went to front desk to complained for the 3rd time and still nothing was done. I'm highly disappointed, frustrated with the results and customer service. I hope that management is reading this and fix the fridge after we leave bc another customer will have a non working fridge on their room. read more

This property has an overall rating of 2.5 stars which is exactly what it deserves in my opinion. When using the sort feature on Yelp, one can see that nearly all the most recent reviews are negative. The last time I stayed here more than 8 years ago, I gave it 3 stars. For my most recent stay it gets 2 and I'm a bit surprised that both the Hilton and Doubletree brands allow their names to be associated with this property. The best thing I can say is that the check-in and departure processes were quick, simple and the employees were outgoing and friendly. The warm cookies upon arrival the hotels in this chain provides are also always a bonus. Everything from there was downhill. When booking this Doubletree by Hilton, one has the option to reserve a standard room, which are normally in one of the "villas" - basically older-style motel rooms housed in one of 19 out buildings, where the entrance doors to the rooms open to the outdoor walkways and parking lot. Last time I stayed in one of those I could hear traffic noise and was jarred awake by people talking outside my room, along with hotel staff pushing carts around late into the night and beginning very early the next morning. One can also pay a bit more to reserve a "tower room" which are supposedly nicer, more upgraded hotel rooms, but the room I was given in that tower on this trip was in a bad state of repair overall. There was grease from the heads of former occupants of that room on the headboard, the leather desk chair was badly cracked in many places and had paint peeling from it, there were stains on the walls, paint peeling from the bath tub, and the shower was very slow to drain. While the TV had a decent variety of channels, there was no channel guide or menu as most every modern hotel has had for at least a decade. Rather, at this Doubletree, the TV remote just had a power and channel up/down buttons. One can easily tell this is an older property that's simply not well-maintained or deeply cleaned, and they basically put lots of lipstick on a proverbial pig in an effort to try and make it look updated - but even that occurred some time ago. The real kicker is that guests are charged a $25/day "resort fee" which covers things most patrons will never use, such as shuttles to the parks, trolley rides, discounts on gift shop purchases and mini golf. If you wish to park your car overnight, they charge an additional $30 for that privilege which is insane. Last time I stayed here, they at least included the cost of parking in the resort fee. If you must stay here, request a tower room. If you have the option of staying at another nearby hotel that's in better physical condition, even if you need to pay a bit extra to do so, I'd strongly recommend it. read more

The room was clean but outdated and shows the years of wear and tear, especially in the bathroom areas. With the exception of the tower, this resort is actually a motel style resort. Don't order the poke at the pool bar. Terrible. Tuna had stings of fat in it. Portion was tiny. It came with seaweed salad coleslaw, and rice that wasn't even cooked. It was terrible. I don't know where it came from but it was obvious that they ordered it from outside because it came in a plastic thank you for shopping bag and a plastic container. Low class. It's a hotel by the conference center, seaworld, universal, and Disney. Its location is the best part of this hotel. It has multiple options for food and drinks. Three bars, a mart to buy drinks and snacks, and three spots to buy hot food. If you're tired and want ok food, you have it here. The rooms are ok. If you know you're going to spend minimal time in your room, it'll be fine. My room was in one of the villas that they have spread out across the property. I didn't hear my neighbors which was great. Housekeeping was great. HBO Max on the tv with no hassle to log into your account was convenient. They provided two bottles of water daily which was nice since I didn't see a water refill station on the property. The main issue was their water. Someone said it smelled like fire. It was incredibly unpleasant when turning on the water to wash your hands or shower as it just had an odd smell. read more

I booked a room at the DoubleTree Orlando at SeaWorld while attending the Grainger Show. I had several hotel options available through the event block and unfortunately chose this one thinking it would be a good experience. When booking, I selected a king bed in the tower, but upon arrival I was placed in what is essentially an older motel-style building outside the main hotel. The room was dated and did not feel clean, which was disappointing compared to what I expected from a DoubleTree property. When I went back to the front desk to ask about moving to the room type I originally requested, I was told that I did not book a king room, despite that being the reason I chose this hotel in the first place. There was no attempt to resolve the situation or offer any alternative solution. For a hotel hosting a large professional event like the Grainger Show, I expected a much higher level of service and accommodation. Unfortunately, the experience felt more like a roadside motel than a Hilton-branded hotel. If you're attending an event nearby, I would strongly recommend looking at other hotels in the area before choosing this one. read more

Stayed here recently during a work trip and I was not very impressed with this hotel. My check in was incredibly slow, my room had several maintenance needs like the door not fully shutting on its own (which I didn't realize until I came back to my room to see that it never latched shut), and the amenities were lacking as well. Glad I opted for the tower based on reviews of the smaller buildings. The stay was fine enough. Silly to complain on this - but they didn't have any cookies. I went back a few times as they had asked me to but cookies were always "baking and almost done". The A/C in the room made this gross gushing sound when we got in there. They sent a maintenance person who confirmed it wasn't a leak and tightened the pipe inside which solved the issue. There were pubes around the tub and on the shower wall. That was the grossest part. Parking situation is unfortunate but I don't see how they can fix it. Overall we did not mind staying here since it was just a single night. We would choose a different hotel next time though. read more

I thought this place would feel more luxurious but the room itself kinda felt like a 3 or 2 star hotel. It's a bit basic and outdated. The bathroom sink had trouble draining. The counter was also laughably low. The toilet and shower room were also quite small. The door was a bit hard to close. Ventilation felt poor. You also have to pay a $25/day resort fee and $38/day for parking which is insane. At least there are free shuttles to Universal but you can just hop on. You have to go to a website to make a reservation first. At least this hotel is literally in the backyard to Seaworld which was kinda neat. The bad: resort for amenities that I never used, pay for self parking, the room smelled a little dank. I killed a blood gorged bug that was on the bed. If you know me, you know I enjoy staying at DoubleTrees for their warm iconic COOKIES! I usually have decent experiences with DoubleTree, but this is probably one of the worst to date. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando Seaworld's facilities is spread out through a series of building so in our case it was a far walk from the lobby to our room. The interior of the room could use a lot of upgrades. Everything was dated and sketch. Worst of all was the shower faucet in our room 700 was leaky. So when you switch to shower mode, half of the water is still going out of the bottom faucet. This is total water waste. The toilet used a lot of water per flush too, but the dumb thing is that it didn't always flush everything away. There was no soap for the first two nights. For the last day, the soap was suddenly there. We were using the body wash as soap and running to the shower to grab soap for the first few days. So awkward. We even had a roach run into our room from the outside and thankfully my friends were brave enough to smash it before it contaminated our belongings. This wasn't even bad compared to how our friends' room had a flies infestation and it was flying around them. So gross. And no opportunity for a room switch because the hotel was completely booked for some conventions in town. The few pros was that they had a fridge and microwave in the room. Bedsheets were clean. That's all I can think of. Really subpar for what I think of when I think of a DoubleTree. I would not consider coming back and I don't recommend. read more

We stayed here for the Ranger Stop convention in November and these are my thoughts Check In: Easy! We got in early and they accommodated for an early check in (and when I say early i mean 8 AM Early). We were NOT expecting to be able to check in that early, so this was a HUGE surprise for us. We were offered warm cookies (which tasted delicious I might add) and then were told we were staying in the main tower. Great directions as well. Parking: WOOF! Maybe it was because it was a convention, but there was parking, but it was HARD to come by. Lots of events going on resulted in parking further away from the room and tower than desired, but there was enough spots. Room: The 8th floor which we were on was FREEZING. I was ok with it because we run hot, but it was COLD. It kept us relaxed and refreshed. We had 2 Queen Beds and there was more than enough space for myself and my partner in our room. Grounds: Everything looks beautiful here. We didn't use the pool, but it looked relaxing and we did see people in it while we were there. There was plenty of on site places to eat if needed, as well as some grab and go items. The convention hall was a hop-skip and jump away from our room which made the event extremely conveient. Overall I would give it a 4 out of 5, as we went and visited our friends room in one of the villas and it did feel a bit dated. The elevator near them also had a broken button that wasn't working. The gym equipment also seemed a bit small and minimal, but still available. I would definitely stay here again for a convention as it felt cozy and compact. Loved the vibe and hope to experience it again in the future. read more

Beautiful Property With Some Fixable Issues The resort itself is very pretty and was buzzing with multiple conferences during my stay. There are two pools--family and non-family--which is a great idea in theory. I just wish there was some enforcement of the "no kids in the non-family pool" expectation. A few guests ended up having to worry about other people's children, including kids swimming fully clothed, which made the adult pool feel less relaxing. The towel situation at the pool also needs improvement. Towels were left scattered on chairs, and there was no clear sign or designated place to return dirty towels. This made it hard to know which lounge chairs were actually taken. A simple towel station--pick up and drop off--would make things much smoother. I also wasn't impressed with staff approaching guests by the pool to sell packages. It reminded me of being on a touristy beach where vendors constantly come up to you--definitely not the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for and it made the experience feel a bit inauthentic. The room was fine overall, and I liked that the kitchen/bathroom area could be separated with a sliding door. However, the amenities were confusing. Our "hand soap" turned out to be lotion, and we received no shampoo. The shower had two body wash containers and an empty conditioner container, so I'm not sure if something was missed or if shampoo simply isn't provided anymore. It left us guessing. The resort layout is nice, though the resort map provided could use a small update--the billiard symbol was a pool table ball when it actually leads you to a ping-pong table, which threw off our whole group. Parking was also a challenge, especially with multiple conferences happening. Both front and back lots were packed. Maybe dedicated conference parking would help regular guests park closer to their rooms. Despite the issues, I would return and give the resort another try. The property has a lot of potential, and with a few improvements, it could be a truly great stay. read more

Totally and utterly disastrous. They advertise one thing and deliver something completely different -- nothing but lies! They show photos of the main hotel at one price, but then send you to the little motels they have around it. They keep adding extra charges upon extra charges. They claim breakfast is included, then charge you for it as if it were a 5-star hotel... when in reality, it's a complete mess. They pull out fees, taxes, and hidden charges from every corner -- if you're not careful, they'll even charge you for the air you breathe. To make matters worse, they had to move us three times: once because of a bad smell, then for a broken A/C, and finally for no hot water. At the front desk, the second person who helped us was rude and dismissive, acting like they were doing us a favor -- and not a pleasant one. Before we left, I tried to speak to the manager (of course, he wasn't there), and no one took responsibility for anything. I always stay at Marriott hotels, but since they were fully booked, we decided to give Hilton a chance... the worst decision ever. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. A complete disappointment -- save your money and skip the headache. Choose another place! read more

3.5 This is based on a convention that I attended there in September 2025. The location is nice and easy to get to. We had someone drop us off so we didn't need to pay for parking. Between their website and reviews, parking was anywhere from $15-$30. As were we only a 15 minute drive away, having us dropped off was the best decision for us. Their lobby is a good size, but a few too many oversized chairs which take up space where people are in line for check in. Lots of people, furniture, and luggage in that space makes is seem a lot smaller than it actually is. We stopped in the gift shop for water and a small snacks. What was on display was not great. Almost disappointing. We were happy to find a small shop in the courtyard that had a better selection for snacks. We were there around lunch time on a Saturday. With one person working with maybe 5 people in the shop doesn't seem bad. In reality the shop was not staffed well. The lone employee was also making coffee as she was cashier. With so many different moving parts, it as a slow process. As for the convention, there were no signs. Nothing in the lobby, the courtyard, or even at the front stating where we should go. Luckily we found someone headed the same direction and walked with them. Even after getting there, the signs stating what the conference was were only visible once we were in the thick of it. Think an 80s hotel, updated where they could, with some people pulling there room chairs just outside your room and smoking weed... That somehow goes everywhere. Last week, I stayed at this location for work. The customer service was amazing. I felt like the only customer! The resort is beautiful, with phenomenal amenities. It was only about 15 minutes from the airport. I got upgraded to a king suite that was super spacious and very clean. Overall my experience was great. There were 2 things I stopped me from giving 5 stars. The phone didn't work, but was plugged up, so I had to walk to the front desk for assistance. There were also no face towels in the entire room. Multiple middle and big towels, but no small ones. It made no sense. read more

My wife and I stayed in the villas, as we thought it was convenient to going to Sea world. This is the worst experience we have had in a very long time staying at a hotel. When we got into our first room, we noticed that the door looked like it was kicked in because it would not fully close at the bottom. We were then moved to another room. In that new room the fire alarm battery was low, so we had the alarm chirping. I would recommend staying somewhere else in the area. read more

Bless their heart the individual who did the glowing review has never been to a nice hotel before. You get what you pay for and if you are super into a 4 minute shower (because that's how long it is before the shower turns into a whole other level of bad shower. Then you are winning ! I would rank this hotel as a solid 3 stars as long as you understand that the scale would never give this a 5 star. So set your expectations. This is an old hotel , and the plumbing agrees. And the carpet makes you wear shoes. But it is a hotel without bugs and 4 minutes of shower. There is no part of me that would have stayed here but my expense report made me....and I was not disappointed due to my low expectations. It is not nice. My TV only worked for one day, and although technicians said they would return, they never did. I also encountered several smaller issues, and when I contacted guest services, they didn't know how to handle them and would simply hang up. Overall, it was a terrible stay. The check in process was simple. They made it very easy for us. Unfortunately, I was unaware that they have you stay in the "villas" after unpacking my car when checking in I had to repack it all up to drive my car to the villas. When I got to the villas..I was on the 2nd floor and they have no elevator. If you're traveling alone or can't lug all of your belongings up a flight of stairs- make sure you ask for a first floor room. It is all motel style villas too. The room was musty and the water was terrible for showering/brushing teeth. There was also a nail raised in my room that I stepped on. You also couldn't open the windows to let light in unless you wanted people to look inside your room walking by. The gym was nice but was packed. read more

Unfortunately so far has be less than positive. I arrived for checkin at roughly at 6:00 when I arrived there were two people in the priority checkin line and one person in the standard line. There were two folks working the front desk however for over 15 minutes one person did not call next or check anyone in. I understand that there was work that she needed to wrap up but neither of them called for assistance. After twenty minutes of no one being served from the standard line another person arrived to assist with checkin. On top of that the phone in the room does not work and neither does the WiFi. I need the WiFi to work during my stay. We also called, using our cell phone, for additional towels and cups and have been waiting over an hour for them. There is also no elevator for the second floor in building 7 and it is very challenging with kids and luggage and musical instruments to get to the second floor. Lastly I feel $30 a night for parking for honors members is very high. If I were not here for an event I would not be here. The only reason I have give this place two stars is because the room air conditioning is great. Update: Marissa from Guest Services called the next day and resolved all she could: phone, wifi, cookies, and sincerely apologized for the things she could not. This was the type of service I am used to from Doubletree. read more

Five Stars for the Staff Not Just the Stay Although this hotel itself is admittedly a bit outdated especially when it comes to the bathroom facilities I have to give it five stars solely because of the incredible service I received from the staff, particularly Marisa. From the moment I arrived, Marissa went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. She was not only professional, but also exceptionally kind, thoughtful, and accommodating. She made sure I was relocated to a better room with an upgraded bathroom, and as a beautiful surprise, she sent wine, cheese, and crackers to my room. I was blown away by the gesture it was unexpected and deeply appreciated. In a world where good customer service can be rare, Marisa is a true gem. Her attentiveness and pleasant demeanor made all the difference in my stay. She exemplifies what hospitality is supposed to look like and is the reason I would return or recommend this location to others. Kudos to the entire team for their courtesy, but Marisa deserves special recognition. The lobby at this DoubleTree is genuinely impressive--spacious, lively, and filled with amenities. There's a great bar, tons of activities, and at first glance, it feels like you've checked into a resort-style escape. Unfortunately, that's where the experience took a turn. The room situation? A total letdown. When I first walked in, I was greeted by the unmistakable smell of weed--not exactly the welcome you expect at a Hilton property. The TV wouldn't turn on, and despite multiple attempts to reach housekeeping, no one ever answered. I tried the front desk, but after being hung up on twice, I finally got through to someone who offered me a new room. The second room was better in that it didn't reek--but it was still extremely underwhelming. And housekeeping? Still MIA. At that point, I cut my losses and left for another DoubleTree nearby--which, thankfully, lived up to the Hilton name. This property clearly has potential with its amenities and common areas, but until the guest service and room quality are brought up to par, it's not a place I'd recommend--or return to. read more

Ok gonna be real and give this hotel 3 stars. Stayed here over nye weekend due to plumbing issues at our house. Planned to go to nye at SeaWorld and figured might as well stay nearby out destination and make a weekend out of a bad sewage situation at home! The hotel is big. There's a large tower you can spot from quite far away and then a village of 2 story motel room setup. You know....walk in from exterior entry the door and the ac unit are in that outside wall. I'm not a big fan of this set up and I did feel a little bamboozled because the website primarily features photos of the impressive tower / also implying interior entry, etc. My best guess is that there are far more exterior/motel rooms than there are in the hotel tower. I'm probably sounding petty here but if you have a preference then you gotta know this. Overall the hotel was in pretty good shape and was clearly being maintained. They offer a free breakfast. Next time I'll pass. It's set up in a banquet room with a very stripper down / zero decoration thing going on. Super uninviting. The food is setup in the middle....one line. Thousands of guests. I'm not going to carry on. It was a zoo. The food was sub par at best and there really wasn't much variety. There was an egg station and I kid you not over 50-60 in like for 1 chef. Crazy town. If you can afford it go across the street to Flapjack Johnnys for a great dinner style breakfast. Rooms were large and comfortable. The TV was jacked up and only let you see about five station the rest froze up. The phone didn't work and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. That being said the beds were clean and comfortable. It did the job for what we needed. OK here's my big complaint and this is a good one. I think they had a $54 night resort fee and then they charged $30 a night for parking on top of the room which was 200 a night it's way too much for this hotel, I wouldn't pay it Again.....it's just a motel. read more

My fiancé, son, & I stayed here for only ONE night after getting in from a late flight from Providence. This place is deceiving in terms of just how much area they own. The property is LARGE... I would rate a solid 3.5 stars. The grounds are nice and the pool area is cute- the lobby is GORGEOUS- but I would not recommend staying in the "motel" type rooms (the older style rooms) if you are going to stay here- stay in the tower- with the NEW/updated rooms. The room we stayed in was a motel type room- I personally call any room with an exterior/motel type set up- a murder hotel. While I wouldn't quite call this a "Murder Hotel" I would say my room was a little sub par- especially for the price. The shower area wasn't THAT clean. While the inside tile and grout were immaculate (thank god) it was the exterior that could've used a good cleaning! Other than that- the beds was surprisingly comfortable (I'm taking like high end bedding/sheets), towels were clean. Cleaning staff - were super nice and friendly... So overall, It would be a nice option if you're staying a night, or here for a conference- but if you're staying any longer than that- and you have a family- I would suggest saying elsewhere. Last week, on a business trip, l experienced my initial stay at this hotel. Overall, , except for a few glitches, it was a satisfactory stay. This resort Double Tree by Hilton property & guest room decor reveals its age, - probably dating back to the 1960's, but is clean & maintained. There is a 17-story main hotel tower building, with several surrounding 3-story guest room buildings that border the parking area. Though the surrounding parking area is large, on the weekend, it fills near capacity, making it quite difficult to locate ANY available parking. There is a restaurant and snack shop located on the property. The food quality & service from both were also satisfactory, BUT can also become congested with hotel guests as weekend the approaches. The front-desk & customer relations staff were courteous, professional and cordial. On my departure, l explained an issue with the smell & taste of the wash basin tap water in my room. The water quality from the shower was okay, as well as on the rest of the property that l experienced. The staff made note, and would have the issue investigated. The room-rates are comparable to other hotels in the area, - which is considered "a touristy area", with Sea World, Disney World & other theme parks located nearby. Based on this recent stay, l'd stay here again, and recommend it to others. read more
