If I could give zero stars I would. Room not ready by three. Bought lunch to waste time and someone was actually smoking a joint somewhere in the outdoor area bc it stunk. Finally got to room, found beads on carpet so not vacuumed properly, went to use bathroom and pulled on the paper and roll fell on the ground bc of the flimsy plastic holder, started to take a nap but walls are paper thin, was woken up at 230 AM by a man banging on a nearby door for ten mins cursing let me fkn in. Called security but by time they arrived person was let in. Tv remote felt dirty everytime I touched it. Not sure if unused towels were even changed in the dingy bathroom. Just ended up feeling dirty and uncomfortable. Sw Mgr next day for some type of credit and was told no bc none of the issues were the fault of her staff. Like not one server or Mgr of dining SMELLED the weed! Just a depressing place to stay f a vacation. Actually moved to Marriot for next two nights. Good riddance ! read more

I booked this hotel for a conference in March. They overbooked the hotel, so when I arrived they told me there was no room for me and instead sent me to a hotel 40 minutes away. It was lower quality and away from all my work associates. I was told I would be reimbursed and I was NOT. They were wildly unhelpful and unapologetic. As I walked in I saw printed signs about the situation, and they told me they'd been dealing with it, meaning they would have had plenty of time to contact me so I could have traveled to the other hotel initially and not missed my first meeting of the day since the HOUR PLUS of unexpected travel time. My coworker who stayed there did tell me that this Doubletree was a dump anyway. Terrible service! Lie about reimbursing! I would give 0 stars if I could! read more

Double tree by Hilton at Sea World Any park and with family? This place is OK (only) to stay IF you are not very interested in quality or luxury. Lets start with the good things 1st Very easy to get to from any point since on international drive. Takes 5 min to drive to the Orlando Premium Outlet. 10min away from Disney Springs/Downtown disney. 15min away from Universal/Island of Adventure. Easy access from and to the airport ~10min drive 2nd You also have many restaurants nearby. 3rd my kid loved it since they had a mini golf course, kids activities, pool table, ping pong table to use. However, this hotel is NOT at the top of my list I have stayed at most of Disney hotel and local area hotel and sad to say this one for me is at the bottom. The hotel is in the process of renovating and this VERY dirty! The main building is new but the other buildings are old! I was given one in section 11 building was dirty, garbage in the elevator, the room was renovated but still had a musty odor which made my allergies worse. I complained and was switched to the new building which was fine. My wife ate at the only restaurant, 3 adults and 3 children, they waited 90min for their food! Totally unacceptable! Furthermore, the food was regular. The pool is medium sized not too small but not for the size of the resort! In addition, it was old needing renovating soon! The front desk is very quick and efficient with check in and check out as well as other services. I don't have any complaints and this end. I was even given some Hilton Honor points for my inconvenience. Overall, I give it a 6.5/10 read more

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the course of the last 7 years and have always been satisfied until recently. New management has taken over and they are not up to par. I tried to check in at 10:00 and my room was not ready until 5:00, which I only found out because I had to constantly beg the front desk to see if it was ready. When I got there, the room was void of furniture and was told that it's okay because it was a handicapped room. That would have been okay, except I did not pay for a handicapped room. The front desk was extremely rude and tried to stick me in a double even though I requested a King. When they finally gave me a room at close to 6:00 PM, they were very rude and did not apologize. I was told that they could switch me to the room I paid for but could not understand why I wouldn't just take the much smaller handicap room that was void of furnishing. Additionally, we had to ask for Shampoo, conditioner, soap and tissues every day. Like I said previously, we used to be satisfied coming to this hotel, but the new management that took over is absolutely horrendous and unprofessional. read more

Gross rooms, incompetent staff. Placed me in a room that looks like a converted motel room on the ground floor facing a parking lot with a deadbolt that doesn't work. Called the front desk 4 times before they would transfer me to a new room. Still it 45 minutes from the time I first checked in. read more

My room was a replica of motel rooms I stayed at in the 1970s with my parents on road trips. Stains on the carpet and chairs seriously creeped me out. I slept fully clothed. Nowhere on the hotel website does it show the numerous motel-like buildings, where my room was, in a deserted area that could be accessed by anyone on foot. When reserving the room online there was never an indication that there were any other rooms than the tower building pictured. They are clearly trying to revamp and improve the property and all staff were very, very nice. But let's try to be more honest when describing your hotel online. Especially at the $200+ price point. read more

I arrived at 2pm after a flight from Seattle, hoping to get checked in an hour early, but worse case scenario at the 3 pm check in. Well after 3 attempts I finally got a room at 4pm. They gave me an extra cookie...oh yeah! The lobby is nice, the pool is nice but maybe a bit small for how many rooms are here. The pool was pleasantly warm! There are some tower rooms and some exterior 2 or 3 story rooms. The building rooms are set up like motel 6, and very unimpressive for doubletree standards. They tried to really make the rooms nice, but it's a pretty horrible try. Perhaps if I was in the tower, they checked me in on-time or possibly given a decent compensation (free drink and appetizer)I'd give it 3 stars. I say, spend a little more and stay somewhere nicer, or save some $ and stay at Days Inn. read more

Worst Doubletree I have ever stayed at. My room was not cleaned well. There was no place to plug your chargers in so when I went to plug it into the socket behind the night stand, it had cup holders and wrappers behind it. The shower curtain had something pink all over it. The tub was white in half of it and beige below. Nothing was cleaned properly. The sprinklers hit on the doors at night and caused the carpets to get wet. I will never be back. It makes you not want to go to any Double tree again. read more

i had a room in the back near seaworld and i thought the toliet was too low. Who takes a crap here midgets from disneyland? Well it looks like they wiped their ass on the curtains , cause I swear to you, there was a big skid mark on the curtain. The holders in the shower were rusty. This place looks like it was trampled by a million stampeding tourists, it sort of smells like it. but hey the pools are good. And you didn't come to orlandoland to sit all day in a hotel/motel room did ya? read more

My wife and I planned to take our son to Sea World and made a reservation to stay at this hotel. We arrived at approximately 4pm to check in and we're instructed where we could park having a disabled parking tag. We got there and because of an event there was no available parking. I called the front desk and they assured us that the event would be over in about an hour. We left and went to dinner and came back two hours later and still no parking. We had to park at the front of the hotel and walk a great distance to our room, which we reached just in time to put our son and ourselves to bed. We didn't get to enjoy the pool or any of the resort for which we were charged a fee to use. We checked out and went to Sea World for the day and arrived at our home to find they had charged us an extra forty dollars on top of the resort fee. When my wife called, she was informed that we were charged for parking (really?) and for the room to be cleaned. We will not stay at any Doubletree hotels, especially this one in the future. We should not have to pay for a room to be cleaned. They should be ashamed. read more

I'm extremely disappointed. I've loved the doubletree for years and this is probably the worst. It's a certified "renovated" motel. Trust me..... They will not put you in the tower at all.... No matter how much you request it. The walls are paper thin and the beds.... Oh my gosh the beds are the most UNCOMFORTABLE beds ever!!! I currently do not have a proper functioning a/c unit and this bed is pretty comparable to sleeping on the floor. The manager will sit on Yelp and try to "make up" for your "less than positive stay", but in the end, it's all the same responses and clearly they haven't fixed anything. For God sakes, get some dang cushion on these beds!!! read more

I really can not understand many critics at this extraordinary hotel. Let us start, we come here every summer we for about 6 years. The management in the time is changed. In my opinion he is much improved. I do not know the issues related to the one parking like having any room for a week, we do not pay for anything. For a year, we only staying in the tower, then in the rooms in the resort. I would be lying if i said we never had problems.. air conditioning too noisy.. rooms sometimes too usurate etc... but the staff of the front desk is always ready to solve all our problems even to change the room needs our second and a year to offer to an upgrade to a suite... the garden of the hotel is best as you can imagine... all is clean..perfect location... the pools meet the needs of every flavour. .restaurants are many and the food is delicious.. the hotel is located in a good place near any great resorts going to join... but the staff is the best..i do not remember all the names but Tara is left in our hearts for kindness and willingness..as the manager that last year gave the suite doubletree... thanks to us every year we came from Italy and here seems to be at home... don't lose this experience...now i'm writing from the room 936..came here e see..if you dont believe!! :) read more

Nice hotel. The staff is very cheerful and helpful and they give you cookies upon checking in! We didn't stay in the tower but the rooms weren't bad. Bed was comfy and everything was very nice and clean. The door handle on our bathroom-door was a little broken, but since it was a bunch of friends staying together it wasn't such a problem, and shouldn't be for anyone really. Here is where I can see people having a problem: The walls are kind of thin, so you can very easily hear all the noise happening around your room, including the fireworks. The shower's low flow shower head is also a negative. And when trying to leave the parking area, my key didn't work, so I had to wait for a gentlemen to help me out upon exiting. However, I didn't get so bothered by these (minus the shower). It's a nice clean hotel, with easy access to a lot of things. I'll probably stay here again the next time I come to Orlando. read more

Definitely wish I could give less than a star. Had a ridiculous experience here. Arrived at midnight due to flight delays and, after a long walk across the large complex, my keys would not work when I got to the room. After looking up the number and calling the front desk, the housekeeper exited the deadbolted door with a guy she was with. Of course I didn't want to sleep there so requested another room/keys. Someone meets me at that room around 1230 and takes off before I am met with the same problem, the door to the next "empty" room was also deadbolted. I call and wait 10 more minutes for someone to pick me up and take me to another building with a bit nicer room that was actually vacant. At this point it was about 1:45am on Sunday night so I got a few hours of sleep. Over the course of the next four days my keys would deactivate 3+ times causing me to sit near the elevator for ten minutes while I look up the front desk number and have security sent to let me in. The cherry on top was when they opened my door on my last day at 4:40 in the morning to place the bill inside instead of slipping it under. I want to like the resort and most of the employees were pleasant and apologetic but I was beyond frustrated with new and repeated problems every single day of my short stay here. read more

I guess I was expecting a hotel experience, not a motel experience. The rooms we stayed in were outdoor rooms, meaning access from outside like a motel 6. I got a "deal", but it was not worth it. I'd stay here again for $60, maybe. The rooms were clean minus the hair on the pillows and toilet seat lol. The front desk lady was nice and informative. Here are the negatives, are you ready? 1. Hair on the pillows and toilet seat. 2. When I tried calling out to front desk and housekeeping, the phone didn't work! Yes, I've checked to see if it was plugged in and tried to follow the directions on the phone on how to call out. 3. I got a call, then when I answered, someone was just breathing in on it then hung up. Creepy! Then the second call, a housekeeper who barely spoke English said that they had a birthday cake for me at the front desk. Mind you, it was my birthday, the reason I was in Orlando. I thought my husband had surprised me, so I called him and he said no. Haha.... :( then, that lady asked for my name and said okay or something and hung up. No cake, btw. 4. We could hear everything going on outside. People laughing, checking out, driving, etc. we were awake by like 7 am. 5. You have to drive around the whole hotel lot to find your hotel room building number, as if you were at an apartment complex. And then lug your suitcases up the stairs. And each area you pass, there's a gate that you have to slide your room card just to get through. Ridiculous... read more

I'm writing this review as I lay here in bed at the hotel at 11:30pm listening to adults and children screening in the pool. This is the third night in a row that this has happened and after repeated requests for the hotel to ask the pool patrons to keep it down there has been nothing done. The rooms, while cozy, are old and outdated. The staff here has been very courteous and professional (with the exception of allowing the pool to be open until midnight with very loud people there). The restaurant had great items on the menu, however, do not buy the breakfast buffet. It's $20 and the food was terrible. This was odd seeing as how all the regular items on their menu were so good. Lastly, parking wasn't the best. Their lot was small and at one point I had to go to the front desk to ask where I could leave my car because literally every single spot was taken. Thankfully, they offered me free valet for the evening. Again, staff were all very nice but some thing need to changed and ran differently at this hotel. read more

We have stayed here two years in a row. Rooms are big and clean. No full length mirror, no minifridges, and the bathroom only has one light in the ceiling and it is not in the shower, so you need to leave the curtain open. We have a handicapped accessible room this year and there is not one mirror that a person in a wheelchair could find useful. Check in was a hassle last year, we didn't have a room until an hour after check in, but this year we had a room by 12:30. All in all one of the better on the strip. If the fix the issues mentioned definitely 5 stars. read more

Expected a bit more considering this was a Double Tree/Hilton hotel. They need to focus more on their restroom cleanliness. There were long black hairs along the shower walls and tub of our room (845). Also the elevator worked ntermidently on the 8th floor. First time tried using it we waited 5 mins before giving up and taking the stairs. The morning we left the elevators were working. The staff was very polite. read more

Crooks. Stay away. These guys tried to charge us $1500 for a stay at Christmas time that had already been paid for, and then actually did charge us ~100,000 Hilton Honors points for a stay THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR. They have lied about the situation and dragged their feet about correcting this, even as Hilton Honors customer service has been involved. We've been trying to get it straightened out for 6 weeks, and it's still not resolved. These guys are crooks. Buyer beware. read more

The 'great price' is quickly eaten away. First off, this review I'm writing is because I didn't do my homework. If I had, I wouldn't have been hit with the surprises I was. But I didn't, and I want YOU to not make the same mistake. Hotel is fine, great room, nice restaurants. My problem is that the great rate of $90 (roughly) that I received on Expedia soon shot up to over $130 when the extras were added in. I'm so used to free WiFi in better hotels, I didn't even ask if there was a charge. I was given the log in instructions, followed them and used the service for a few hours the one night I was there. Upon returning home, I see a $25 and a $15 charge pending on my credit card. The $25 from the first day can only be for WiFi and in this day and age that is a RIDICULOUS price. The $15 second day charge is for parking, although every sign going in to the parking lots says the cost is $14. Nice place, but had I done my homework I could have stayed nearby, gotten free WiFi and still come out $40 or $50 ahead after paying whatever parking price they came up with that day. Again, not blaming anyone but myself, but the desk clerks should be required to inform you of outrageous costs for something that other hotels are now giving away for free. I was at the hotel for a conference and will have reason to go back, and probably wouldn't if the chance came up. read more

This hotel was awesome! I really felt like I was in a resort. This hotel has 19 buildings, and a huge tower. This hotel gave me an experience like no other, I loved the fact that our room on the 3rd floor of building 10 was facing the resort-like pool area! Beautiful palm trees surrounded the pool. The room itself was very nice and seemed luxurious to me. Both of the beds that were in the room provided a ton of comfort along with the pillows. The room was clean and there was nothing dirty about it! In our room, the shower and toilet were separate from the sink, which I really liked so that more than one people can get ready for the day. The hotel gave us 2 tickets every morning for breakfast. The 2 tickets were for 2 people. We had 4 people, but it wasn't a problem for us at all! The Market is where we went to get our breakfast, which is a little cafe that serves Starbucks. Each person with a ticket can get 1 coffee, 1 cup of fruit, 1 pastry, 1 yogurt parfait, and 1 juice. Or 1 small yogurt, a fruit, a coffee, and a bagel with bacon eggs and cheese. There was so much food that I couldn't finish it all, so I gave the rest of the food to the 2 who didn't go down for breakfast. The only complaints we had was the noise and the parking, it is 18 dollars per night to park. We brought that up to the front desk that we thought that it was ridiculous and they lowered the price. The hotel can be noisy at times, since there is a pool right out the room but it isn't the hotels fault that there are noisy people and the air-conditioning was loud enough to tone the people out. Overall, an amazing stay and I would definitely stay here again! read more

We arrived for our 2 night stay on April 7th and 8th at 177.00 per night to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, everything went smooth and no complications, even free warm cookies! We were given directions to our "hotel room" and after driving thru construction we found a spot to park near the construction. We proceed walking to the other side of the hotel wondering why did they have us park so far from the hotel? We were assured by an employee we passed that we were going the correct way. We go up some steps to the second floor, now realizing we were not near the hotel at all. In the center of this motel was construction with equipment and workers everywhere working. Large area of dirt and buildings being built. We open the door and it was old, smelly, dingy and more like a low budget motel. I am thinking this must be a mistake. We walk out, getting a friendly wave from a worker on the roof of a building in the construction area who was eye level with us, we proceed back to the lobby. I explained that the room was unacceptable and not a hotel room but a motel room. He corrected me by telling me this was a "resort" not a motel. I told him I wanted to speak to a manager. He complied and I explained my frustration. She apologized, and said that we are not booked in the Tower, and there is no more availablitity. She did offer another room facing a grassy area but it was still the old motel-like room. We at that time requested a full refund since the pictures were very deceiving and no where was it indicated we would not be in the hotel but in a motel-like room. We did receive a refund as they promised but it took 5 days. They had already billed my bank. BEWARE! Be sure to ask what part of the resort your room will be, or you may be looking out at a construction site and waving hello to the workers! I gave a rating of 1 star only because there was none lower and we did get our refund. read more

This was the absolute worse service I have ever encountered..... My family and I literally stayed at this place for almost an entire month during the entire covet crisis when it was literally no one here and didn't cause any problems and do anything but make our payments every day didn't b**** about the price and nothing that nature didn't try to haggle with them just literally woke up went to work came home went to sleep. Didn't get to use any of their amenities as it works somewhat fun but they were all closed and still no whining or crying out of us. And one day that we missed a reservation time because my father was in the hospital and just actually caught because of virus probably from their dirty facilities, he literally we get thrown out and my step mom is the only one there because I was at the hospital and she had to pack up 40 to 58 40 to 50 lb bags all by herself they wouldn't help they went to touch anything and made her stay outside on the by the bus ramp just because again we were 4 hours past checkout time. Which I would understand in any other situation but we've been staying in this for almost a month. And on top of that they told us we couldn't come back because I said a cuss word on the call with the front desk manager asking him where is the hospitality and telling him f*** it's been a hard day. With his response telling me that he's not going to allow any of us back on the property due to the fact that I have called such an uproar from swearing. A few days later my set mother actually called covet from probably from staying out in the rain because they wouldn't let us back on the property and I couldn't get back to the actual hotel to get everything until they would release me and so I had to wait on test results from the hospital. All in on I would give them 0 stars and would never ever stay at this place again even if they offered it for free for an entire year straight and replaced all their people just because of the pain the amount of money caused from the arrogance of a hotel front desk group that can't actually provide any type of hospitality. read more

My husband and my two dogs stayed here for Hurricane Irma. This was the last hotel that had availability and thank God that it was! This resort was beautiful and the customer service was great! They didn't price gouge or take advantage of anyone. They waived the pet fee for everyone! WHO DOES THAT?! This property could've made QUITE a bit from people because tons of people had their pets with them because they were there to get away from the storm but instead Doubletree was a true class act and decided to put quality above quantity. They had buffets available even when the weather was atrocious and they kept everyone feeling comfortable and welcome despite the vast amount of people that were there. I could think of a million ways the hotel could've been greedy and really profited off of this trying time but they did the complete opposite. They even had a "calm room" that had free popcorn and a large screen playing kids movies to help ease children's' nerves. They really went above and beyond and I was so so very happy to have stayed there. Will definitely stay there again, hopefully next time it won't be for a hurricane. P.S. I stayed here in late May, attending a conference at the OC convention center. I was pleased with the facilities and staff. This is a good choice for a mid-priced hotel. They were universally friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, furnished with a neat coffeemaker (with to-go cups, a nice touch), iron, hairdryer, closet and safe. I found the decor pleasant as well. The bed was fine, although a tad too soft for me, and with a variety of pillows. Nothing "old" or "worn out". Room temp controls worked well. I was in one of the outbuildings (not the tower); my room faced the interior courtyard and I had few problems with noise--I could hear families talking as they passed, fortunately for me it was not many.. The curtains blocked out light very well and minimal light leaked around the door. The grounds crew was out mowing fairly early one morning. The grounds were pretty with several porches and nooks for sitting outside; and offered 2 pools, a putting green, a small mini-golf, outdoor foosball, billiard and ping-pong tables, There is a game room too I think but I didn't look for it. There are bars at the pools but didn't see them open. There is a decent workout room and laundry. Free wi-fi in those areas near the lobbies; in room for an additional charge.. There is also a business center with computers and a printer, and another area with computers off the lobby. There is a restaurant and a deli (with "resort" pricing, par for the area). I ate at the breakfast buffet and found a large variety of items available including cook-to-order omelets and waffles, a platter of cheeses and cold meats and salmon, fruit, dairy. The hot buffet items were okay, but tended to by just barely warm. There was a very long delay waiting for a room at check in, (which is how I ended up in the outbuilding instead of the tower) which the staff blamed on the large number of checkouts and checkins that day. But they did apologize and offered me a complimentary drink. I was able to easily walk to the convention center (less than 15 minutes). There is a short cut to Sea World from the back parking area. There are 3 or 4 restaurants, a Subway, and a convenience mart right across the street, and more restaruants and a Walgreens between the hotel and convention center. There is not a grocery withing walking distance. Oh, and the cookies are awesome! read more

Tallahassee Dcjr to Hilton Hotels & Resorts 28 mins · I recently stayed at the double tree hilton sea world Orlando at 10100 international Blvd on business, the first room was horrible so I asked to move and was moved to a more appropriate room, I then awoke this morning to find an tick embedded in my skin, I went to the front desk after removing it and was offered $100 off my bill or a free night to bring my family back and stay and possibly subject my children to the same? For staying there on business, the restaurant was nice, and the bar was great. I loved staying here for a couple of days. The layout and location is great. The girl at the desk really went the extra mile in getting us a room where we wanted and she even gave us an extra parking card for our in laws which we thought may come by. . We didn't stay in the tower building but instead by one of the 3 pools. It can get noisy in the rooms by the pool because it is open til midnight but that is later than any hotel I have ever been too. If you are into hanging out at the pool bar OR letting your kids swim late than it is awesome. The rooms are decorated really swanky and kinda Polynesian. They even have a rollback vanity door by the bathroom which i have never seen. My only real complaint is the beds aren't really comfortable for me. They are pretty firm and i don't really like my beds that firm. We had two queen beds because of my daughter and I don't know about the king bed. We stayed here to go to EPCOT for one of the days and they offer free shuttles to Sea World, Universal and the Disney locations. They picked us up promptly in the morning and it took 45 minutes to get to the gate. Not too bad, considering they made like 4 other pickups. They were also prompt picking us up. If we go back to any of the parks anytime soon we will definitely try to go back to this same location. Really enjoyed our stay. ***** We used priceline and got the room for about $80/ night and thought the value was tremendous. ******* I said free wifi because it is available by the pools and also in the lobby. DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Theme Park Resort - Hotels Near Me - Orlando, Florida

This is my go to hotel for anything outside Disney. As the official hotel of Seaworld Orlando you get free Quick Passes if you request them the day before your visit at the visitor center. The accommodations here are very nice. Yes, it is an older hotel that has been remodeled with the edition of the newer tower. But it is located on a quieter part of International Drive near all the Seaworld properties (Discovery Cove and Aquatica). The hotel is an amazing upscale hotel with a beautiful restaurant and added amenities, such as 3 pools, mini golf and family activities. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to any of my family and friends. read more

PIt was perfectly pleasant for a motel costing $40-$80 a night, but since it was over $200, it fell short. For starters, parking is an additional $17-$22 per car. The exterior looks like a run down old motel. Our 'garden view' room was a ground floor backside of a fence and shrub in front of the pool. This made for a concerning level of noise around check-in, but luckily it died down quickly, (due to 50° weather, probably not so lucky in the summer). We were informed when the reservation was made, the bathroom included a whirlpool tub. It just had a standard shower/bath combo. When we inquired about it, we were simply told, 'we don't have anything with a Whirlpool available." No effort was made to make up for being misinformed about the room by the reservation staff. The room had a strange oder. No fridge or minibar, there was bottled water in the room for $3. But one had already been opened (Eeewww). In the morning, i tried to call the desk and all of the extensions went dead so I had to go all the wbreakfast to the front lobby. The room was perfectly nice except for the smell, but not worth the increased price. The only really good thing is that is in walking distance to SeaWorld. Unfortunately, we were not going to SeaWorld. The buffet breakfast was pretty good, but $20 extra. Overall, I have stayed in Orlando a lot, and its not hard to find a nicer place for the same or less money. read more

DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Theme Park Resort - My 'lovely' "resort garden view" - Hotels Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Wow, I have never had this below par service from a Hilton Honors hotel. First off, when I checked in, they scanned my card wrong and I was in the tower on the 17th floor with a heavy backpack and suitcase when I found this out. I had to come back down to have my card re-scanned and was told that the front desk clerk gave me the wrong key. Not to mention the 30 minute wait to check in, granted there was a seminar in the area that I was attending so I wrote off the length of time in line, I can deal with that. The night before I checked out I found an ozone machine in my room and that my expensive computer bag was wet, and had a water line showing up inside. It was on the floor by the dresser where i had put it, and I couldn't figure out why it was wet. Then I noticed it reeked of mildew. Great. So I called the front desk and they said they would have maintenance come up and check out the situation. Maintenance came up and told me that housekeeping must have spilled something and not said anything. OKAY? The manager came in and suggested I move rooms, which I agreed to. Was there another reason to leave the room? Not sure but I wasn't going to stick around to see. The bell hop came to help move me and asked me why I couldn't just machine wash my bag. This bag is a swiss army computer bag with lots of padding, I can't just throw it in the wash, and by the way, do I have a washing machine in my room? No. The manager Betsy called me and appoligized for the incident, and said she would send up security to have me fill out a claim form. But, I do not have a bag to get on the plane in the morning with my lap top? I asked for a credit for a future visit but not at this hotel at another hilton hotel. Who knows if I will get that. I also let Betsy know about what maintenance told me about housekeeping spilling something. She was insistent that that is not the case, but maintenance did tell me that so I am not sure what she is implying. Security came up and I compeleted a claim form and I am pretty sure I will never hear back from anyone. I made sure to give my business card, but I am certain I am not hearing back from anyone. Security mentioned that he is getting a new boss and that his boss is the same as Betsy's boss. So with that transistion, yeah. Overall managment seemed paranoid and not interested in helping me or even suggesting a way to make me feel like they cared about the situation. They spent a lot of time documenting but forgot the human side of things. read more

Basic hotel. Needs some updating. It's a little tired. Good outside pool space. Nice touch to have warm chocolate chip cookies at arrival.
