Decent hotel. Worth the price I guess. Kinda sketchy. Got here and lady was screaming in parking lot bc she just had her car stolen, no biggie- not my car, but she was making a huge scene and yelling at everyone who would listen. Pool was filled to the max so couldn't even really swim there was so many people. From 3-9 am a car alarm went off outside our room and when I tried to call to the lobby or security office it just kept ringing and ringing. The next morning I complained to the GM and he offered us a discount on our next stay but I agreed to late checkout :) . No parking spots after about 8 so get back early if you don't feel like walking 1/2 a mile to your room. Also there isn't enough chess pieces to play chess on the game field. Continental Breakfast was a danish and a orange/apple and coffee or oj . I'd stay here again if it was on sale again. Wouldn't pay full price. read more

This hotel was terrible. my son wanted to stay another night so we checked into this hotel because it was cheaper than other resorts. When I checked in I was charged over parking fees which ended up costing me more than the other hotel. If I could have I would have cancelled my stay and gone to another but I wasn't given a refund. When we entered the room it was dirty and falling apart the photos advertised were different than those of the room. In the shower there was used soap from another guest and the shower head broke and fell on my sons head. Don't stay here. You have been warned. read more

First I picked the tower hotel room and got an "villa" room instead which I didn't like because the bathroom was sooo small And dirty. I didnt have wash clothes in my room the first night we got there. I couldn't reach room service at all I ended up finding a cleaning lady cart and took some from there. They do not offer room service. I stayed so far in the back that when it rained I just had to be hungry until the next day because I didn't have umbrella or anything to help me get to the market and Uber didn't deliver directly to our room. The only thing I can say we enjoyed was the pools staying open late the kids loved that and it was walking distance to to SeaWorld. Other than that i would've rather stayed somewhere else. read more

I booked this hotel for this week only been here one night. I can't take it anymore..Hilton sent me a upgrade option a week prior and was told I would know when I checked in. It's a joke. I did not get the upgrade. The villas are dirty inside, our sink doesn't drain well and it smells awful in the room. You have to request housekeeping 24hr prior. They don't come everyday due to COVID-19. I'm so disappointed, I expected better from the Hilton Doubletree Resort. read more

Thoroughly mediocre. No water in the lobby - in florida! One restaurant and nothing special. Actually below average. Rooms are quite nice so thats the positive. Basically expect to travel anytime you want to get something to eat. Pool so so. Just unimpressive and basic read more

pictures are extremely deceiving. it's a motel. had people smoking pot in parking lot in front of our room.

I booked a room on booking.com for $67 per night. I get a receipt saying $72 to my email after booking and everything was all good. I go check in and get my room key and go to my room. I get another email in the middle of the night saying my bill is now $85 because they charge you $12 to park your own car in front of your room that you just payed for on top of the $50 hold. They did not mention it once when I was booking nor was it on my receipt. When I asked them about it this morning when I went to check out the lady at the desk told me "you should have looked at our website better". It was all the way at the bottom of the page past all the advertisements. The manager was very rude when I asked him about it and why I was never told before it was just charged and why it wasn't on my receipt. He told me "thats just how it is" and when I got upset he told me to leave. HORRIBLE people and bad business. Will take me and my training team elsewhere from here on. read more

This is our second stay here over the last few years I'm honestly more impressed with the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff. Unfortunately we are only here for a night. Probably ok for families coming to sea world but don't come here if you are here for a convention! It is only a mile from the convention center but it is not a walkable mile. I did it several times but due to construction and you have to cross under the interstate it isn't very safe. Lobby is beautiful but it turns out room 840 is not on the 8th floor. They have one tower and the rest of the rooms are divided between 9 buildings. The best thing here is no bed bugs. I arrived at 11pm and rolling my suitcase to building 8 was complicated by the sprinklers going full blast across the walkway and a foot high. So I got drenched. Then it turns out there aren't any elevators. Lugged my bag up the stairs. Room adequate but dated. No refrigerator and the ice bucket holds two cups. Seriously. The vending machine that I finally found with the ice machine that is shared between two buildings charges $2.50 for a drink (a deal here) but was sold out the whole six days I was here. The room service advertises open until midnight but they stop answering their phone at 11:30pm. Hungry my first night I ran down to the restaurant hoping to get something to carry out. Their doors were locked too at 11:40. The market let me in to buy a pre-packed sandwich for $7.00. The trolley runs right by this hotel but be sure to check which side of the road you should be on as one color goes north and the other south and the red and green lines go different places. A Lyft from here costs $6.70 to the convention center. Taxi from the airport is $48. Half of the people here were really nice but half were flat out rude. Also the wi-fi here was "broken" for three days and they don't have a secured connection for business available...even in the business center or for extra money. Hot tub and family pool open until 11pm and they have a Game Center for the kids including ping pong, pool, foosball. read more

I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. We decided to rent this room for my birthday weekend due to the fact that it was walking distance from Seaworld. The staff is great, the hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the room is nice and the beds are soooo soft and comfy. I don't know if they are just understaffed or what.... We checked in at 3am. First, we could not find ANY parking at all!!! (They charge you $9/day for parking). Upon entering our room, we used the bathroom to find that the flusher was loose, broken, and not flushing the toilet. It was constantly running. Also, the sink was not draining so it was completely backed up. I called front desk... but of course, with it being 3am, they said that maintenance was not available, they could move my room but I was lose my pool view (which I wanted). So my husband ended up fixing the toilet himself and we just washed our hands and brushed our teeth in the tub. We waited for the next morning for maintenance to come but they didn't so we once again brushed our teeth in the tub and went down to the lobby to have breakfast and complain to someone. The manager apologized, sent maintenance, and told us we could access the buffet for free for our troubles. The buffet area was crazy packed, we ended up waiting over a half an hour just to get a plate. That evening, I wanted to go out for my birthday dinner with my husband. I tried to call the front desk to see if there was a phone number for the restaurants so I can order food in for my kids so I can go out. I also needed wash rags to shower with. I called over and over and over, could not get a hold of anyone.... I was frantic, because we were going to miss our dinner reservation. I drove down to the lobby and it was jam packed. Could not even park to go into the lobby. I said, forget it, and decided to drive back but the line to get back thru the gate was a mile long. My husband and I decided to just go get them pollo tropical and we showered with hand towels. We missed our reservation and ended up at some late night restaurant, got back...once again, no parking! My husband kept mentioning how the sink water smelled like sewage, I thought he was being dramatic. The next morning, I went to brush my teeth... smelled straight like SEWAGE forreal! I almost gagged. Ended up brushing our teeth in the tub again (for some reason, the tub did not smell as bad). I am just so flabbergasted as to what we went thru this weekend for my birthday weekend. read more

This hotel is filthy, terrible service, rude deal staff, rooms smell and were very dirty upon arrival. Food in the restaurant for breakfast was cold and poor quality. Parking is limited on weekends , loud music near the pool so difficult to sleep and frequently noted strong smell of marijuana through out the property despite hotel staff being nearby. Totally NOT family friendly!! Stayed here a year ago and it has completely changed and not a place to stay anymore! read more

Staff very friendly and always willing to help, cleaning staff very professional. This review is for Bernie at the front desk! From the moment we entered the hotel he was lovely and welcoming. Flying from the west coast is always a rough transition so he gave us coffee vouchers to help with the exhaustion. Also when we returned from dinner, I was craving one of those warm cookies and he was more than happy to give me one. I stay here for an annual trade show every year and it's always nice to see a friendly face after a long day. Thanks Bernie for your hospitatlity! read more

if i could give this place zero stars, i would. this is by far the worst hotel experience i have ever had. the shower head was broken causing the bathroom to flood with water, the fitted sheets would come off the bed assuming because they're too small, the air conditioning gave off a weird smell if you set it above 60, the tv remote didn't work, two lamps wouldn't turn on, the front desk would never answer the phone when we would call to switch rooms, then when we would go downstairs but since there is only one person at the desk the line was always long. and the cherry on top is that they charge $4 for a bottle of water! Nightmare! At check-in, my husband and I moved our stuff into our room only to discover it wasn't the king room we had booked. We tried to call the front desk, but the phone was broken. We hiked back to the lobby to learn that no other rooms were available. A manager was called to upgrade our room to a "better" room. This bed was also not a king. Once reported, the manager didn't believe us! She wouldn't come look at the room, so we requested access to another king room to compare. We had to take photo proof for the manager to believe that the beds were different sizes. Finally, room number 3 was a king. The next day, the AC unit breaks. We had to move rooms again! On day 3, we discover room 4 had a broken lock on the door. Well, back to management we go. We tell her that we will be gone all day and need the lock fixed immediately. We return that evening to a fixed lock, but found an apology cheese plate that was left at room temperature all day. I guess we had caused them too much hassle; they wanted us to spend our remaining vacation sick. Overall, we had been credited $190 to spend on additional services at the hotel during our stay. Apparently, they didn't deem it appropriate to simply credit our account for the money already spent on such poor accommodations. At check out, a different manager tried to deny us even these credits. Possibly the worst part were the "apologies" we got for all of their mistakes: "Don't worry, it wasn't your fault that the rooms were wrong" (I KNOW!) and "ma'am, we're just as surprised as you are, but all of our king rooms have been booked." (Yeah, I booked one of them!) Disgusting customer service and appalling mismanagement. No room cleaning, outdated rooms that were poorly cleaned and maintained, and the wait staff was difficult to locate while dinning--breakfast or dinner. Also, no cookies, in spite of ads posted everywhere. read more

Smells awesome upon entering. Nice staff and warm cookies. Room is quaint and what we needed and expected. Beds were decent and clean. However, cleanliness of the room could improve...we found moldy jelly beans under our beds, the shower drain was dirty and it didn't drain very well, and there were hairs in the corners of the shower/toilet room. I didn't enjoy standing in water while showering. The shower curtain was certainly not long enough, the bathroom floor was soaked with every shower. The water got nice and hot with great pressure though for both sink and shower. The sink was not very user friendly...it was very difficult to wash hands as the faucet is so close to the side of the bowl. The grounds were nice. Could use better upkeep of keeping trash emptied from the hallway trash cans. There is multiple places to lounge outside, which we thoroughly enjoyed. There are 4 sitting areas with fire tables and one of a fountain. Our youngest guest enjoyed the pool and said it was nice and warm. Didn't reek of chlorine but it was nice and clear with a waterfall. There are two different pools but we only visited the one. The pool bar is nice, quite pricey, but we understand. We tried the restaurant on site but didn't eat there, not going to pay $20+ I'm unsure about. The wait staff were very nice though. We were hoping for a mini fridge in the room as well but there isn't one. You also have to pay for parking and the parking areas are gated. Saw security rounding several times as well. Overall, we were very happy with the stay and would stay again. read more

This is by far one of the worst DoubleTree I've stayed in. If I am self parking I shouldn't be charged a fee, when I've already paid for a room that was full of fruit flies, one of the beds had a q-tip in it, a used wash cloth hanging on the hook behind the bathroom door and no ice bucket. They did provide us with a key to a new room but that was no better! The room still had flies in it and someone's bra was hanging in the closet on the iron board! I will never stay at this location ever again! Definitely wasn't the worth the money that was spent! Only pro was being next to Aquatica, other than that it wasn't anything spectacular about this property. My room was paid for in advance besides the $100 you charged me at the beginning of the stay when I checked in, only received $55.10 back which I should have received the entire $100 because of your lack of cleanliness! read more

This place is so disgusting. My room in the tower is so damp, it stinks of mold, and I would not be surprised if my clothes hanging in the closet have mildew by the end of the week (I'm trapped here on business through Friday). The carpet is dirty and dingy. I'm not going to bother to complain or ask for another room because reading the reviews, it's clear it won't do me any good. I can't wait to get out of here. This is honestly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, and I've traveled all over the world. read more

I joined my husband who was a participant at a recent conference for his job. We stayed 4 nights. I will start with the positives. The Laguna restaurant was good and having The Market there was nice. Unfortunately, the grounds around the Grand Pool area were covered in rat droppings as well as on the steps and side of the Main Tower. I might not have noticed them but the night before I did, we witnessed a small rat climbing up the outside pool bar. The bartender (who also saw him, as it was behind the counter with them) did not seem surprised...did not bat an eyelash! I mentioned the droppings around the pool to the front desk but never saw anyone do anything. Luckily, the "resort style" room that we were persuaded to take by staff, despite the reviews, did not show any rodent signs. However, our room overlooked the mice infested pool area. Children were screaming until midnight, that we could clearly hear through the paper thin walls, the first night we were there, playing in that pool where I am sure feces had been tracked into. The place is outdated. There were signs on the property that indicated there was a spa. I asked a woman in the gift shop who told me it was next to the fitness center...after looking in vain, I asked the front desk, and they informed me that there wasn't one there any longer. They gave me a spa menu to the one at the Hilton a half a mile away. Uh, ok. Also, I had thought we probably should have stayed in the Main Tower, but after talking to another guest who mentioned they had no water on certain days in one of those rooms, I thought perhaps those weren't that great either. Of course, I could overlook many of these things but not the rodent problem. Disgusting. I feel like the health department should be notified. read more

Went during covid, room (motel style) did not even have a safety seal to tell that it was cleaned. The toilet wasn't flushed. Smelled like mold. Parking station was broken so anyone could enter or leave freely. Called the front desk and no answer. I had to drive back up there and ask to be switched room. We then got moved to the tower which was noticeably cleaner. I would recommend making sure your booking is in the tower upon arrival. read more

I normally loveeeee double tree and give 5 stars but this specific one is awful. I would have given 0 stars if I could. Where do I begin? I booked this hotel on Hotels.com thinking I was getting a good deal...I mean $99 & close to the airport in the middle of Orlando?? I was happy and paid online. I got to the hotel only to have them charge me an extra $20 resort fee for parking and Wi-Fi when first of all no place on the listing or my receipt said I would pay this extra fee! it told me I had paid everything! secondly this place is nothing like a "resort" and I have been to many hotels and places and gotten free wifi and parking... I mean that is to be expected anywhere you go usually!! Also, there was NO PLACE to park. No joke. We parked in a place that was not even meant for parking, like a fire zone. Fourthly, they gave us no cookies. Didn't even offer us the famous double tree cookies. Yes I know this is a small thing to be upset about but after everything I went through I would have enjoyed my favorite double tree cookie. Did you think this review was over?? hahahah....of course it's not. After this bad experience, we called down to the lobby to talk to the manager just to explain our feelings and share with them the fact that we had been scammed and ripped off. They never apologized and they never acknowledged their error. They basically pointed fingers and said it was our own fault. The service was awful. The managers did nothing. They lied and told me if I went to the lobby to show them there was no "fine print" about the resort fee that they would reimburse me and when I went down and did just that they refused to do such a thing. Let me remind you, they never not once apologized for the error. It's not really about the extra money that I had to pay...it's really about the fact that they scammed me into paying more money. They never apologized or gave me a cookie. They were not kind and understanding. They didn't apologize about that parking issue either or have any way to solve anything. This has been a huge disappointment and let down because I was excited to come here tonight.... They need to either be shut down or get under new management...preferably I would rather them knock this whole place down. sincerely, a dissatisfied and disappointed loyal doubletree fan :( read more

DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Theme Park Resort - two waters up in the room for a fee but paper said if I took it down to their market in the lobby they would give me two free waters... - Hotels Near Me - Orlando, Florida

If you are getting one of the cheaper rates it is because you are getting put in a motel style room facing the parking lot.. The staff and the resort was not handicap wheelchair sensitive and the rooms that are "just" handicap" are not wheelchair accessable. Not a value at any price Not a Hilton quality resort in my opinion. read more

Housekeeping is non-existent in this hotel. They don't replenish your towels or Coffee amenities. The room was full of bugs. The sink smelled like sewage when you turned on the tap. This hotel was disappointing... I was given a room in the tower, and after spending 30 minutes waiting to check in and trying to find a parking spot, I finally just parked, and walked for about 20 minutes to get to my room. That was all not really a big deal compared to what was waiting for me... when I got to my room, the whole room STINKS like cleaning chemicals.. it started to make me feel nauseous and gave me a slight migraine. Overall, I was very disappointed with the whole experience. read more

Please do yourself a favor by not staying here. We stayed here for the may long weekend. It has been by far our worst experience in a hotel. Although I read the reviews before booking there, I thought we'll be fine. What could go wrong with a hotel after all. But no, I was wrong. This place is disastrous. Firstly, they booked us in the outer buildings saying they were running out of rooms in the tower due to the long weekend. Then they tell us that the parking lot near our building is blocked due to construction. O.k. so we take the limb route to the room and when we reach we realise that she gave us wrong keys. Now we walk back all way to the reception to get the right ones. ( trust me it's the last thing you want to do after a long journey). At the reception all she does was say sorry and hands me a $20 coupon with the right keys. Secondly, after the horrible reception experience, it's their internet which sucks. I needed to work at night and the internet wad crazy. It was just 2mbps of speed. What??? ok I call up the reception to buy internet, but even after I paid for it, the speed is the same. So horrible! Lastly, their room service. They threw my food! I just got them in the morning and by evening, they threw it!!! I was so mad because we came back hungry to eat that food. When I complain at the main desk, they tell me it's none of their business and I should talk to the room service manager. Who never got back to me. By then I already understood they are a bunch of careless and rude people who don't care about customer service. It was no use complaining also. In all I'd say, please don't go to this hotel. They are super super bad! read more

Would never stay here again. In need of updating. Room was dark and dingy.

Poor hotel that has hidden fees. No matter how many nights you stay with them, you will be charged resort fee $22 per night. Also, the people at the disk specially female not very professional. Even if you book your room from a third party website and after the payment all what you see in the summary charges is the room charge and taxes, still when you check in the hotel will charge you the resort fee. The manager at this hotel is really unprofessional at all. When I argued about this resort fee and asked for a refund, she said Sir. I will need you to leave now or I will call security!!! In front of my eyes, she removed the resort fee from the customers who were in front of me, and when I asked to remove it too, she said, ok I will go back and charge them!!! If you remove the resort fee from any account, you should not charge other. read more

Welll where to start? My husband, I and our son needed a mini vaca sooo we booked a hotel went to sea world and came to check in... check in was quick and efficient... we go to our room throw our stuff down and head to the pool, pool is alright nothing special but works for us so we continue to enjoy ourselves and relax a bit... later we get hungry and go back to the room to order dinner in... I laid on the bed and instantly noticed these little black bugs all over the pillows and blankets... not sure what they were all I know is NOPE WE GOTTA GO! So we go downstairs to get a new room or a refund the manager upgraded us "to a suite since your only here for one night"... okay fine. We go to the new room... which was shit.. the floors were disgusting and it wasn't worth it...we move on with our night go pick up dinner and get back put our son down for bed. Woke up my husband took my son to pick up food from the restaurant in the lobby... absolutely disgusting even the fruit!!! It didn't stay cold and all of our food went Bad! They did nothing to compensate us for all the problems we had! Stay away! read more

The hotel Is ok , but my opinion is, they are very unorganized, for example the charge you 19 dollars for the parking , if you arrive at the hotel before 10 pm, for sure you won't find parking space , i went to the reception desk and their answer was ,"the hotel is totally booked ", I told their, is not my fault ,I already paid for my parking space and I want it now , they told me "the hotel not warranties parking in the front of your room ", speak with the valet ,to see what we can do", in my opinion, a very unprofessional treatment. read more

The overall feel of the hotel is decent. The lobby bathrooms when we were arrived were in rough shape, but our room was clean, so it didn't bother me too much. Looking around you can tell it's a renovated room in an older hotel. The old thermostat is completely ridiculous with "warm" and "cool" labels and a few dots in between. The bathrooms are tiny, but appear clean. I whined about the super old elevators and the general feel of the hotel as we entered. My husband defended it with, "Baby, it's a 4 star hotel." 4 stars 20 years ago, maybe. Last night we listened to a screaming toddler for a solid 20 minutes in the next room before we called the front desk. Also, I thought it was peculiar that the lamp stopped working in the middle of the night, along with half the outlets on the right side of the room. The room was freezing, which I later discovered was for a reason. I'm working from the hotel room while my husband is in a conference, and I turned the AC up a little from the lowest temperature setting that it was on. Big mistake. As soon as I did so I began to notice a mildewy smell, the room became extremely humid, and the carpet seemed sticky, almost damp. It wasn't extreme until we left for lunch and came back. Called the "front desk" to have my room changed and the woman told me I'd have to walk down because she wasn't sure if the front desk would pick up if she transferred me. I was a little irritated, because I'm pregnant, although - a good walk doesn't kill anyone. The girl at the front desk was very nice and explained that they had had a sprinkler situation on the 10th floor that flooded a few floors below it. (Can you imagine what the 10 floor must be like right now?) She apologized profusely for the inconvenience (to her credit, she was very friendly) - and assigned me a new room on the 16th floor. Hilton Honors. Got off the elevator at the 16th floor, with all our bags/pillows (we bring our tempurpedics), and it's crazy hot on the floor. The room itself is as hot, but the AC doesn't appear to run as cold as the one did on the 6th floor, even at the lowest setting. The worst part about this room is that it smells like pee. I'm hesitant to ask for another room - but I don't think I can stand it any longer, and moving my bags again being 6 months pregnant is a little cumbersome. Trying to cool off a little from the lugging of bags before I go down and either request another change or turn in my keys from the previous room. OKAY - LATEST UPDATE. If you're really unhappy, talk to someone. I sent my husband back with the old room keys and to get some air freshener for the weird smell in the room. There was a long line and he talked to the manager, who upgraded us to a suite and comped half the room. I'm happy to report that the suite is GORGEOUS with a decent view and VERY upgraded bathroom. (Also, no smell or humidity.) Changed the star rating to 4 from 2. BIG difference in the suite, obviously. MUCH HAPPIER. Thanks to Peter, the manager on duty. Update: AND WE'RE BACK! Used our $50 resort credit to order breakfast. Checked the time slot for between 6:15-6:30. At 6:30 my husband called down because he had to be at the conference at 5 to 7 and mentioned that it hadn't arrived yet. They said it would be "just a few minutes" - at 6:45 still no breakfast. Called again and cancelled. They offered free brunch, but too little too late. Back to 2 stars. Huge disappointment all around. Don't stay at this hotel. Update: Looked at my bill and they're trying to charge my incidentals credit card for the balance of the room. They never mentioned that they'd be using my card for the balance of the hotel, or I would have communicated from the get go which card should be charged. Now I'm trying to hunt down someone from Hilton Corporate to get my stay comped. I haven't eaten breakfast, am hysterically upset while pregnant, and can't BELIEVE they're treating me like this. UN. REAL. Update: (Yeah, I am that adamant about logging this entire experience and have little work that needs to get done today.) After little success with the manager of the hotel, I called DoubleTree Guest Assistance. The woman listened my teary rantfest and while the stay didn't get comped (they didn't feel that it would benefit us to comp the stay, considering his company was paying for it, but I'd rather they get their money back than than the resort credit, because they shouldn't receive money for the experience we had), we did get our $50 resort credit bumped up to a $100 resort credit. But really? At this point I still haven't eaten anything, have been crying for 2 hours straight, haven't even gotten dressed and really just want to go home. I think perhaps the biggest irony in this entire situation is that I discovered that their slogan is, "When you care, it shows." That's the one hilarious part in all of it. Gonna try and get over it with some at the pool. Here's to hoping it gets better and not worse. read more

Really nice rooms, friendly service and plenty of pools, bars and places to eat, but layout of the complex takes away a star from this resort style hotel. I am generally a fan of the Doubletree chain. This place is not an exception, and if you can deal with some of the quirks, than it is a really nice place to stay. The positives: With its' three pools, 24 hour market, large restaurant, spa and gym, three or so bars that serve also food, and an arcade and ping pong tables for kids of all ages; this is a resort style hotel without paying a resort fee. The staff here from the front desk to the restaurant are friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet here is very good, but see the caveat below for Hilton Gold members. There is also a free shuttle to nearby Seaworld and Disney. The negatives: $17 parking fee. I am also not a fan of hotels where the rooms open to the outdoors, as opposed to a hallway. It almost has a motel type feel and when you have this setup, guests tend to congregate in the outdoor areas and for some reason, inevitably, late at night. We had some people yelling across the courtyard, or just hanging out chatting, well after midnight. The windows are thin enough that you can hear the noise and muffled conversations from outside. Also, although there are three pools there is only one hot tub for a hotel that can host several hundred people. When my wife and I went to the only hot tub on the property, it was dominated by a bunch of teens hanging out like howler monkeys-loud and obnoxious. Lastly, as indicated the breakfast buffet is very good, however only the continental breakfast is included with Hilton Gold--it will cost you $6 to get something more than a pastry, fruit and coffee. Is it worth it? Yeah, but I don't like benefits with strings attached. Overall, would still recommend. Even with the fees, my rate of $112.50, is still reasonable. read more

When my husband complained at the front desk during checkout, he was told they would not give us a discount, but they would give us 5,000 HHonors points. Months have come and gone and those never appeared in my account. Don't let them fool you if they tell you this. read more

Older property. Old central hvac system. Internal walls are similar to those in Mexico. You can seriously hear the person next door breathing Customer service was below average The people are friendly and helpful just understaffed. Good option of you need to attend the orange convention center. Otherwise I would not recommend this property read more

I wanted to share my latest experience at the Hilton double tree by sea world. On March 27, I checked in for my daughters competition. The entire team was OBLIGATED to stay here. I want to start by saying it's the first hotel that doesn't try to group their guests together when staying as an organization. Besides that I began check in and was told I was receiving an outside room because there was no availability in the tower I had requested two months in advance(I must add no one ever told me that I could have ensured this room by paying an extra charge as the manager later in politely told me). Well I then go to this fabulous room , room 1103, I was told to be receiving to find screws which lightly scratched my son (luckily), missing bathroom privacy doors, as found in all other outside rooms(as I saw an was told by the maid as she cleaned) and a disgusting bathroom. I then called the manager April and was very rudely told there were no rooms(when I arrived a day before my colleagues who were receiving the same type room as me). She was so in polite and made me feel very uncomfortable staying at the hotel I had to stay at In order to follow team protocol. She then sent security ,without a clear explanation to them of the eproblem occurring, because two arrived at different moments confused and unsure of what their manager wanted. They the came back to offer their condolences because they said they had tried to explain the room situation to them and that she was not cooperative and did not want to make an changes. I decided to stop wasting my time and take the children to the park while The manager tried to pull herself together and remember that customers should always come first. I must say I was very disappointed to see that my room was exactly the same as what I had left minus the screws. The bathroom was disgusting and April never called or came to check on the situation. I am attaching photos to show the maintenance of this room and what I will be sharing as my review of this hotel on various sites. This has been the worst experience I have ever had and it is only day one. It's funny to read all the similar reviews and the generic statement saying they are sorry yet I complained in house and called their corporate office and am currently sleeping in their hard beds with crunchy covers!!! This hotel is horrible!!!!!!! Day 2 of my stay. As they stated no rooms would be available in the tower this weekend, this was a lie since my best friend checked in at 9am and they gave her a tower room without her asking. They still haven't tried to help me with my dirty room and I have had many of my friends staying here pass by and say it is nasty. Let me also add that on day 1 in the broken cabinet there was a small blanket that I had used to sleep. Today I called the front desk for them to tell me that they had no blankets to give me after the maid had taken them from my room. The fabulous customer service continues here. Thank god I have hardly been here and only need 1 more horrendous night at this nasty establishment. read more

This is my 400th review on Yelp! I'm happy to share this milestone review with a hotel property that I have enjoyed off and on over 20 or so years of business travel. This is an older property located adjacent to Sea World. I first stayed here in about 1992 when I was traveling to Orlando regularly for SYSCO. Back then, it was called the Sheraton World Resort, and catered largely to families from all over the world on holiday. To be honest, I cannot recall why I chose this property on my first visit, but I've stayed here countless times and met numerous interesting people from all over the world. Doubletree acquired this property several years ago and gave it a very nice facelift. As I walked the property yesterday I noticed several details, including a nice playground, nicely maintained landscaping, a mini-golf course, ping-pong and pool tables beneath thatched structures, and friendly greetings from every staff member I met. I was pleased that the clientele is still very international. My room had obviously been recently remodeled; it was clean, fresh and comfortable. The lobby is completely renovated, with a wine bar called "Sonoma" scheduled to open soon. It has been several years since my last visit. I'm glad I returned and will once again consider this my Orlando home for future business travel. In honor of my 400th review I will share one memorable story from this hotel. Sometime in the mid-90's I stayed here for several days while working in the region. I came in from work one day and settled at the poolside bar for a cold beer and a quick burger for dinner. A young man sat down next to me and told me that he and his wife had just arrived from London for their honeymoon. She was asleep in the room and he just wanted to relax. We enjoyed a few beers together as we exchanged stories about our lives and our families. After about 90 minutes he told me his new wife would probably be a bit peeved with him for staying at the bar so long. She was already angry with him over his injury from his bachelor party. He proceeded to tell me that he and his groomsmen decided to sneak into a cemetery. It was enclosed in one of those wrought-iron fences with iron spikes at the top. As they were climbing over, he lost his balance and impaled his inner thigh on one of the spikes - he lifted the leg of his shorts and showed me the wound. Wow! I could see why she might be a but frustrated. As he finished his story, his lovely bride found him at the bar and joined us for a drink. After finishing that round we closed our tabs as I wished them a happy life together. I hope that came to pass. Business travel can be a pain, but I really do enjoy it. I enjoy the people I meet, the places I see, and the memories I've gathered. I also appreciate my fellow Yelpers, who have directed me to countless restaurants that I would likely never have found without them. I'm proud to contribute to this great community of experiential people, and God wiling, I will continue to contribute for a good long time. Happy Yelping! read more

Stayed for 2 nights for the 4th of JULY wknd. Rooms were decent. We had a room with double beds and a mini fridge and microwave and sink within the room. The bathroom was small however. They had 3 pools. They have a whole section for games for kids. Ping pong table, miniature golf, outdoor chess and small playground. They did have good outdoor activities throughout the day and night. We attended an outdoor movie night by the pool on Saturday night. We waited to buy tixs from the concierge desk to see if they would give us a better price. She ended up matching the price I found online b/c she wanted the commission. Told her online price I found was $89 for SeaWorld entry and all access food. Plus taxes and she added 'Quick Queue' which let me tell u it's so worth getting. The lines as the day went by, of course got longer longer and we just zipped by them. Tip: If u go see SeaWorld and stay here, WALK over. They have a walkway over. Takes 10-15mins. Better than waiting for shuttle. Overall the stay was ok. read more

Not the best place I've stayed in Orlando. I paid for a premium room hoping for a decent experience. Room was a bit dated. Bathroom had mold and needs an upgrade. Food and crumbs left in mini fridge from previous guest. Whole room needs a good cleaning. Noticed dirt and fingerprints on walls and windows as if nothing had been wiped down in some time. I called the front desk from the room several times on several occasions but no one answered the phone. Will not be staying here again. read more
