2 stars for a hotel in it's supposed class. I usually like Doubletree's though they are branded with the Hilton name and seem to have come down a few pegs. The grounds and lobby are nice. They put out the aura of being a vacation/resort hotel. The grounds were laid out in a labyrinthine way so that my room was quite a schlepp from the entrance. I figured out a short cut after a few days. Disposable plastic cups only in the room. Small detail, but, a nice hotel would at least have a tumbler or two. Right? Nothing says "away from home, in a cheap hotel" like only plastic to drink out of for days. Overall, I was comfortable enough and it got the job done for conference accommodations. read more

I'll start with check in- we got there early and were told to check in periodically to see if the room was ready. (Understandable, checkin isn't until 3) 1pm- "almost ready, come back" 2:30 pm- still not ready, come back. 3pm- not ready, we're not sure when it will be ready. Front desk blamed it on being short staffed. 3:30pm the room was ready. So not to far off check in time, but if I checked out 30 mins late it would be a problem right? Anyway, I'll get to the room. Definitely with everyone on how dirty the rooms are. We stayed in a villa and it definitely had that musty smell everyone is talking about- it's the rug. I had on white sox that I had to throw out with how filthy they were by the end of the night. My reservation was for 4 people, there were no sheets on or for the sofa bed. Annoying when I'm about to get my kids in bed and realize there's no sheets anywhere. So I call the front desk- multiple times, no answer. Now I have to bring my kids with me to the front desk and wait on a line to ask for sheets. It was 9:30pm, there was 11 people on line in front of me.... 6 people didn't have towels and another had no sheets like me. There needs to be a better house keeping system than this. They seem to be beyond short staffed. I had just checked out of a Disney hotel- every other day someone came in and changed the towels, so this just made no sense having people get their own towels when housekeeping probably passes your door everyday. My main reason for the one star is the overall atmosphere, i guess the lack of control of guests behavior. I get that marijuana is legal- but cmon, do you have to smoke at the pool around all the kids? Everyone is blaring their own music, it's pretty ghetto fabulous. To be honest, maybe if my kids weren't with me, I wouldn't mind any of this but it just wasn't the family vibe I was looking for. One night, the guy on the terrace above me was having a party- there was people singing, talking loud (it actually sounded like a great time) but again, not with my kids sleeping. I think some security to just make sure everyone is being respectful to one another would help. Again, tons of marijuana smoking and cigarette smoking seeping into my room. I guess the "Hilton" threw me off, this is far from any Hilton standard. The staff is very nice, but it doesn't make up for everything else. If you're looking for somewhere that is family friendly, this is NOT IT . read more

PROS -I got the room I booked no problem -There's a mini mini golf course! -Room itself was spacious and clean -There were no cockroaches or lizards inside of my room -Service was friendly -Bamboo Grill has tons of flat screen TVs to watch games CONS -the front desk was completely overwhelmed and I waited in line 20 minutes to get a parking ticket! -no cookies when we checked in (come on guys!) -the construction in the lobby was horrendous and loud! I stayed here for a conference so didn't care much about the room but overall it was pleasant. I would def return for a conference (great and convenient shuttle to the convention center, etc) but not sure I would pay to stay for a vacation. 4 stars for the room. 2 stars for the lobby. 3 stars for service read more

I do NOT recommend staying at the hotel. Especially in the rooms they refer to as "the villas". All villa rooms smell of mold and are NOT cleaned, and that is terrifying since COVID19 is very much still a thing... I transferred rooms twice, both with the same results! Unkept rooms. "The tower" is the only reasonable place to stay on the property, but of course it seems like that part of the facility is reserved for high paying customers only... extremely disappointing. Cleanliness is NOT their top priority so PLEASE think twice before booking to stay. read more

i travel for a living. this year alone i've stayed 56 nights in hilton properties and its only september. this has been the grossest hotel that i can remember. I noticed our room was lacking a do not disturb sign so I asked a staff member in the hallway where i could locate one. They recommended I make my own do not disturb sign. Bizarre but, not willing to step down from a challenge, I made my way to the nearest arts and crafts store. A few hand turkeys and some pasta glued to paper later, we now were to be clear of any disturbances during the day my work colleagues and I found a recurring theme in all of our rooms: someone else's pubes. oh and silverfish. cant forget silverfish. we have changed rooms 3 times now. room 1 had soggy carpet. not florida humid. soggy. i typically don't change hotel rooms or bother people with it but i figured it was appropriate to change when i found my wife was using a hair dryer to help mitigate the moisture. she changed our room while i was away working to find room 2 had old shampoo bottles and cockroaches running around in it. room 3 was a jr suite upgrade but now soggier than ever. its pretty neat. in all 3 rooms the toilet would not flush without a healthy amount of convincing. This dump is not indicative of a hilton property or even a double tree. read more

Great location in front of Universal Studios However their shuttle service do not run all the time. And in the morning you need to get tickets to ensure a bus is not overly crowded. You can get tickets a day in advance. Since they don't run frequently I decided to walk back, about 15 min walk. I got caught in the rain last night. Weather app wasn't even showing that it was raining. I had a nice shower The hotel is basic. I've been at newer doubletree. Service is nice and courteous. My room 1109 has 2 queens and faces the park. read more

The hotel food was not very great and we usually avoid the hotel's food options as there are better option nearby. We ordered meals from the hotel because of convienience and because, being a Diamond member, we are entitled to $24.00 / day in hotel credit. The credit was confirmed at check in and we were advised to charge purchases to the room and the credit would be applied at check out. For the first time ever, I did not recieve or review my bill until I returned home. When I reviewed my bill, I found no credit whatsoever had been applied. Its been almost a week since check out and all I recive in response for my request for my earned benefit are form responses. See the actual response from the property manager who obviously never bothered to investigate my request for the credits. I received 2 responses, 4 days apart, with exactly the same words apologizeing for my unment expectations. Hotel Response: Thank you for contacting Hilton Guest Assistance regarding your recent experience at one of our properties. I would like to express my sincere apologies that your expectations fell short of our high service standards during your stay. I have forwarded your concerns to the Management team at the hotel to allow follow up within 3 days. It is our hope that this matter will be resolved to your satisfaction and that you will continue to choose Hilton Brands for your future travel needs. To me a HOTEL should have rooms INSIDE NOT doors leading to the outside. I think of MOTELS when I think of that. We had no idea we would be staying on the 3rd floor 2 buildings down from any elevator Kinda crazy there aren't elevators in each building! The room itself was fine but not the location! Not for a Hilton! read more

I had a horrible stay here. I have contacted management by email and phone and done their customer service on their website. They clearly don't care about customer service! We did pick this hotel because of the large jacuzzi offered but when we arrived the jets weren't working, and maintenance was called. They never came out to fix it. We watched the channel on the tv with tips about the hotel, and cancelled a night out on the town to have a peaceful night at the pool and visit the Happy Hour at the barefoot bar. We saw this advertisement on the tv channel in the room. At 10p we went to that bar, asked for the happy hour specials and the bartender was extremely rude to to us and said "happy hour? We don't have happy hour anywhere at this time" and laughed and walked away. We were so upset and also embarrassed as he said this in front of other guests. Lastly, we were in a building that must have been under construction or something but we were awoken by loud banging at 7am and hand banging in the middle of the day that day as well. We would have told the young lady at the check out but she never asked us how our stay was or seemed interested in talking to us, so we checked out quickly, and asked for a manager card and left. We ended up staying in Orlando a couple more nights but left that hotel to go a different one due to these events. read more

First, let me say my review is probably going to be a bit biased as when I stayed here, it was for Gay Days 2010 and the hotel staff did roll out the "red carpet"....well probably more like the Rainbow carpet. I can't really speak for a "normal" stay at the Doubletree. Anyway, I thought this hotel, the staff, and property was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff did an awesome job considering the amount of guests and non-guests on the property around the clock for nearly 6 days. The restaurant and food service staff was outstanding considering the food service areas were open 24 hours for 5 days straight. I can't wait until next year and am totally looking forward to the Doubletree International Drive again!!!! And anyone that might think of staying here next year- if you don't like noise and music until 2am you probably do not want to stay here from May 31 to June 6, 2011. read more

Stayed here for a week and was very disappointed, the room looked dated and dirty. The carpet was visually filthy which wasn't a big deal because we wear flip flops around hotel room but our biggest issue was the allergic reaction me and my children had to the linens on the bed. My eyes swelled up, my oldest daughter had welt all over her legs and arms, and my youngest couldn't stop itching. We requested room service to change the sheets and they told as we had to put a request in 24 hours in advance. After going to the front desk we did get the room service but it didn't help at all we barely got any rest. We couldn't switch room because they claimed they were booked up. We had to buy pillowcases and blankets from target and I woke up to my youngest sleeping in the chair. Two nights before leaving we finally got relocated to the tower so we could get some rest. If you stay here I recommend you bring your own bed sheets and Benadryl. read more

This is my first time staying in a double tree hotel. I was expecting a little more pizazz..... what hotel now if days doesn't have a USB port built into the wall, light heck tv now of days??? Thankfully the little unplugged clock did so that was my savior. I went to plug it in and I swear I saw bunnies from all the dust, you can tell they don't clean back there..I don't know if maybe the were thinking about changing the color of the wall or what bc I saw some drops of paint on the wall (im assuming that's what it was)....I was told I was getting an "upgrade" but id much rather have kept my original room. For the most part for a nights stay, I guess it'll do. read more

This place was very busy during spring. I didn't mind that. Looked the amenities were nice. Hotel rooms are out dated, smell, and there are stains. This place is a run down hotel of the past trying to squeeze the last dollar it can. The rooms are old and dirty. Carpeting is filthy and the bathtub is stained from years of use and poor cleaning. The restaurants have limited menus unless you like fried food, poor service and old furniture. My room was upgraded but a poor excuse of an upgrade. The hotel advertises it's a 3-4 star facility but it's a 2 at best. On the positive side, you can get a room for under 100.00 if you ask. God luck read more

I'm not going to bury the lede: there was a cockroach in my room and customer service was less than satisfactory. Wait, I take that back -- the valets were the nicest and speediest workers there. My and my boyfriend stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at Seaworld for a convention. We live outside Orlando, but I booked the hotel through the convention web site because of the lower rate and it's 1 mile away from the Orange County Convention Center. Our stay was booked for Thursday through Sunday. We were given a room in the second story of the two story hotel rooms. I was partially working during this time so I had to carry video, camera and laptop bags in addition to luggage. There is no elevator for the second floor (keep that in mind for the story later). There is a large tower, but I'll get to that in a minute. When I booked online, I requested a King Bed, but we got two twin beds and they were hard as rocks. The television service was spotty; not a clear picture. Their web site says accommodations include: "Desk area with wireless, high-speed internet access." Now, doesn't that read like Internet is included? Well, Internet is free, but in certain areas like a pool and restaurant. However, it doesn't say that on the web site, nor when you check in. Instead, Internet costs $9.99 for 24 hours, per device. Friday morning, I saw a cockroach on the bathroom sink, near my hygiene products like toothbrush, cup I used for brushing teeth, make up for my face, etc. See photo here: http://flic.kr/p/d4M7Z9 We went to the front desk where I showed the receptionist the photo on my cell phone. She immediately apologized, said we would get a $25 credit and move to a room in the tower, with at least 10 floors of rooms. The receptionist acted rather quickly (like she knew how to solve this issue asap by giving us a $25 credit) and didn't seem like this kind of surprise was new. However, that's just personal opinion to me. We were already running late to our convention, but the receptionist said they would prefer if we move our stuff right then so they could start cleaning the room with the cockroach. I asked the receptionist to send up a bell boy for help, and she said one would meet us in 10 min. We packed up our stuff because we wanted to be on our way (Remember I said I had equipment with me and there was no elevator?). Twenty minutes later, I called the front desk. The receptionist said, "Ok I'll see what's taking so long and let you know." Ten more minutes went by and we were tired of waiting, so we hauled our stuff into the tower with no help, almost getting lost along the way. 30 minutes wasted waiting for help. Now, we're in the tower and we got in the elevator with a staff member. She asked what room we were in. She insisted I was going to the wrong about the floor, even though it was written on the card key. After we went on the wrong floor she insisted we go on, we went to the correct floor and our room key worked in our room. In this new room, it was slightly bigger and we got two queen beds. The beds were still hard as rocks. The web site claims there are hair dryers in the room, but I never did find them. The tv signal was much better in the tower room. This brings us to our final night. We caved in and bought wifi for one night. My boyfriend called the front desk to ask about our $25 credit. The receptionist on the line told him we didn't have any credit to our account. I didn't get a final bill under my door, like the web site said it does and what most hotels do. We went to the front desk to check out. I told the receptionist about the missing credit do to the cockroach. I had the photo ready in my hand to prove I wasn't making up a story, and she quickly said, "I don't want to see that." Without saying a word, she pressed a bunch of buttons on her keyboard. She didn't apologize, didn't ask me about my stay, didn't say a word or acted sincere. This is what happened to us. Maybe it's a one time thing, maybe it's not. All in all, I don't appreciate how we were treated. I live here in Orlando, and if I'm going to recommend a hotel to visiting friends and family, I'm not recommending the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at Seaworld. read more

The pricing was very expensive compared to the quality of the room. We found multiple roaches during the last night of our stay and ended up leaving at 2:00 AM after we seen them due to feeling uncomfortable. The breakfast was not good at all and only included about 4 or 5 things, none of which were fresh. It wasn't mentioned that parking would be taken out of my $100 deposit I paid and I was told $100 would be put back onto my card after checking out. I only received $50 back of my $100 deposit. Had I known parking would've been so expensive for 2 nights in a villa with roaches I would have parked somewhere else much cheaper or found a different hotel. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the pool area and hours of it being open was nice. Would not recommend staying here at all at least not in the villas. read more

Old MOTEL with an attempt at making it modern. We were placed in the Cabanas which are old and need to be torn down completely. Front desk was nice but I could tell when I changed my room from upstairs to downstairs (no elevator) the attendant was seedy. He told us they were completely sold out. That was absolutely NOT TRUE! There were several vacant rooms. Once we got our room changed, we drove around and found you had to walk through the outside corridor to get to the room. No problem. Once we got inside...the lamp shade was broken, the furniture was dented, the carpet had noticeable stains (see pic), the bathroom smelled moldy and unclean, and the room was very humid. We checked out and got a full refund with no questions asked. Please DO NOT waste your time staying here!!! read more

Want a musty, stinky, damp room where housekeeping is an option...and only if you know you are supposed to request it? Which by the way they don't tell you at check in. Then choose this down at heel Hilton property. When was the last time you stayed at a global brand hotel that did not clean your room unless requested? No interest at the front desk as to the condition of the room, the lack of service or the fact that I was not informed that your room got cleaned only if you requested it. Less interest in the problem when calling the 1-800 number whose operators talk in circles. Hilton Hotels should be embarrassed by this property and those who call themselves managers of it. read more

Been here for almost 24 hours, and no room key is available. They've been having a "system upgrade" since sometime yesterday morning. We've had to wait for someone to escort us to the room every time we've left and come back. It's a busy weekend in the area, which means sometimes we're waiting some time for someone to walk us to the room. They told us at one point yesterday that the system was just rebooting and we should be good, and this morning, we went down to see if we have a room key and guess what.... they are doing a system upgrade and still no keys. It's frustrating, especially after a long day out. read more

We had a great stay here! Of course the chocolate chip cookies are amazing, and you can buy more at "The Market" -- two for 99 cents! The pool was relaxing, and we found the grounds to be lush and inviting. A perfect place to unwind. Free mini golf and giant checkers too! This hotel has a lot of resort amenities. Located at the "quiet end" of International Drive, which was perfect for us. There is a fee for parking; annoying but typical for Orlando. Quick and easy drive to Disney World. We were fortunate to be in a suite - which was beautiful and large. The shampoo, conditioner and other bath products were a notch above typical hotel - very nice! We had a lovely visit and would definitely stay again! read more

Nice hotel, we stayed in a nice big suite and therefore the review might be based upon what ought to be a "higher standard" by what you expect vs what you pay for. For what to expect and for what you get, DoubleTree gets 3 stars out of a possible 5 in my book. Pros: - Spacious - Floor-level provides faster access to pool(s) & other entertainment. - Nice big-flat TV with a surround system (not the rule but the exception, again, it was one of the nicer suites) - Lots of green spaces. - 3 pools. - Good, prompt, friendly service. - Breakfast buffet. Good quality & good selection. - Free welcome-cookie, which might I add, is quite good & chewy. Cons: - Décor is alright, greenish, possibly bland. - Hotel setup resembles a motel, but redone to accommodate Hilton expectations. - Our hallway featured an unacceptable "sweat" odor. (Please provide free deodorant to all hallway staff - & visitors if necessary) - [#1 Complaint] Water pressure for showers is unacceptable. - Water consistently had a weird odor; again, stayed a whole week, switched between two rooms, this was always the case. - There is an additional parking fee, HHonors members not exempt (as of the date of this review). - Bathroom showers feel old/used. - Though breakfast has a huge selection compared to most other hotels in my experience, it does have a hefty price tag per-person $21.00(+). And no smoked salmon, which comparable Marriott breakfast buffets do usually feature, in my humble experience. (Had to add that :-) If you're in the area and the Hyatt Regency or Hilton Orlando is over your budget, I can say this is a pretty solid #recommend. A verge #recommend. read more

There were a number of things wrong with this hotel. I have stay at many of "by Hilton Hotels" in the past 5 years and have never experienced anything like what I experienced at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Sea World. First, they charge for everything. They claim to have complimentary breakfast, which turns out to only be a bagel, a muffin, coffee and juice. if you wanted, what is standard at other hotels, you had to pay $12. At other "by Hilton Hotels" and smaller hotel/motels complimentary/continental breakfast includes bacon, sausage, eggs and those DYI waffles, along with juice and coffee. While $12 may not seem like much, if you are feeding a family it can turn into a lot per day that you did not expect to spend. Second, I noticed an additional charge on my account from the Hotel, I talked to the front desk and discovered that "the system automatically" placed charges on my account. They young lady corrected that charge and told me that the reimbursement would show up in my account within 3-4 days. Upon check out, I requested a copy of the receipt and reviewed it in front of the attendant at the desk. I pointed out additional charges and after she reviewed my account, she found another 6 charged to my account, totaling $250. Third, the rooms in the are like something out the 70s/80s era. The furniture is worn and damaged. The bathroom is tiny. The cleaning staff is rude and are easily annoyed by the guess that are staying at the "resort" Forth, parking is not free. True this is advertised on the website; however, this is just another expense that it meant to drain your funds and turn what should be a relaxing time, into an additional headache. read more

We stayed for four nights. We did not avail of the pool or any other services. Check in & out was friendly and efficient. All of the staff we encountered were mega polite. Our room was on the ground floor in Block 19 and quite a way from reception. It was very comfortable and decently furnished. The ice machine was close by. The room had two double beds, a reasonable sized tv and probably the best in-room coffee I can recall tasting. This coffee was so good that I rang for extra and it was delivered promptly with courtesy. I even got a follow-up call to the room within half an hour to check if I was satisfied with the service. I was. There seemed plenty of car parking around the hotel but as we now just use uber or lyft to get around it's no longer important to us. The grounds were meticulously manicured and maintained. I routinely bumped into staff quietly sweeping & manicuring before 7am; my body clock was at noon and I couldn't sleep. Our room was carefully cleaned every day. The WiFi was great too. We were there for four nights and we availed of the huge open green area outside our room daily, taking our coffee out to relax in the beautiful morning sunshine and nightly beer and wine in the dusk here with ice from the machine. The IDrive trolley bus stops right outside the hotel (stop 24, I think). Bear in mind if you stay here that there's a 22 dollar a day resort fee to pay - this appears a compulsory daily charge. We didn't avail of the breakfast here as the continental was about 13 bucks a person and the full breakfast was about 21 bucks a person. Sorry folks but I won't pay over 20 bucks for my breakfast. On balance it's 4 stars. We would return here in a heartbeat. In fact, the worst mistake we made was going for breakfast at the Village Inn just across the road from the hotel. It was grim but we only made this mistake once. read more

I was sent here by my office to attend a conference in Orlando. I have always enjoyed the Double Tree so I assumed my experience would be the same, which in general it was. The valet staff who watches your vehicle while you check in was very friendly. I walked in and was greeted by again another friendly set of staff who checked me in. I got my delicious cookie and was sent on my way with my key and parking key. Here's my major issue with this place. They layout is so poor. I felt like I was staying on a compound, not a hotel. It took me 10 minutes to drive and find my room. Finding the room was most difficult because there were rooms on both sides of the hotel, which was not explained to me. Also it seemed as if everyone was staying in the same general area because there was no parking available, but other areas were completely empty. The room was nice and clean. The room service was tasty, but of course crazy expensive with lots of add on charges. Check out was simple and I was on my way the next day. Give it a try if you're in the area. You'll be pleased, but I don't think you'll be callin' your mother about the experience anytime soon. read more

Do NOT judge a book by its cover OR sometimes by the first chapter. We love DoubleTrees and never stayed in one we didn't like so when we walked in to the lobby we felt this place was no different. We were home. After walking to our room & then into it, however, I (the wife) quickly changed my mind. Husband didn't mind, but wife minded that a "resort room" meant a walk to an outside building and staying in a room with a door that was opened to the public like a motel. We had a pool view which is pretty, but wife needed the air conditioner in the room to run to drown out the fountains running in the pool to sleep. Ahhh... sleep! The bed was GREAT! Inviting, soft, but not too soft/not too firm. Multiple different pillows so they can meet everyones taste. The shower is uber small. The toilet is directly next to the shower which wife was very concerned would feel claustrophobic. It did, but you could leave that door open. Then close the sliding door across the room that's in front of the sink so it feels more open. As a woman, it was helpful to have the toilet right there so I could prop up my leg to shave. It was just a shower, no tub. The door was extremely creaky! The water has a smell and a bit of a taste we can't explain. It got better the longer we ran the water so we believe it might be from the pipes. The service here is AMAZING! The wife and husband wanted to sit in the restaurant to eat, drink, and watch hockey. The manager put the game on for us (twice during our stay) and brought us a sound box for our table so we could listen. The front desk provided a disposable razor at no charge. The attendants at the scheduling desk were helpful and knowledgeable. Other things we felt were done right: the food, activities for children & teens (we weren't traveling with either), and having a bar by a pool. Things that need improvement: transportation. Transportation. Transportation. There is no transportation from Sanford International Airport which isn't that far. It was about $20 by Uber. The shuttle transportation to theme parks needs A LOT of work. There are about 4 scheduled times for Seaworld which is basically right next door and would only need shuttle service for the elderly or handicapped. But there is only two shuttle times to Universal Studios in the morning and one at night. We found that we didn't use the shuttle back to the hotel. We used Uber. It was about $8. The shuttles do not run in time with the parks opening and closing. One park closed at 5pm and the shuttle was at 8pm so what would we do for 3 hours? I'm not exactly sure how the Disney shuttles run so be sure to check! All in all, this place was really comfortable and super family friendly. read more

So first and for most, if you have issues please ask for Paul. He is a great manager, and did what he was supposed to do in situations like this. The first room we got into, seal was broken, lights in the room didn't work, and there was a foul smell of mold. He switched us to a better room, and these pictures reflect that room. We were so tired and had dinner reservations we had to shower and just said we will stay in this room. Next the issue is parking, we had to park so far over 10 buildings over since the first night..... honestly wouldn't care BUT and a huge BUT they never answer there phones and we have a small child with us, So when we needed towels guess who had to walk from building 10? We did. Mind you we tried calling from the first room that was dirty and had to walk down again to even change the room. A bald gentlemen with glasses had the nerve to tell me they were busy, lol for 3 days you were busy? Mind you we called every day every number from valet to room service. Nothing. Overall we did not enjoy our stay. We're tired exhausted and frustrated. Also we didn't even notice until today the blanket had a nasty yellow stain. It's just so much, if you stay here ask for Paul. read more

We booked this hotel and were put into a room in their "villa" area...at first glance it looked like an old red roof or motel 6..when we got inside the floors looked dirty or should I say muddy...the refrigerator did not work the toilet backed up into the shower and the beds were rock hard...I am a Hilton member and this stay was NOT a normal Hilton stay...I took my concerns to the manager and was told a whole day and a half later that we could move rooms but the room was not ready..by this time it was already 5pm and we were leaving the next day...he told me he would comp me the 30 dollar a day parking fee...but looking at my CC statement that was NOT done and I was charged the entire fee...parking here was also a joke not sure why they charge as parking is so far away from the rooms...if you are going to charge us to park maybe there should be assigned parking it was awful. I have since sent a letter to the corporate office and I was told it could take up to 20 days for someone to even read my email! This hotel really ruined our weekend getaway. Definitely NOT up to Hilton standards read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! I came to Orlando for a work convention and stayed at the DoubleTree because they had a "Special Promo" with the company hosting the convention. If this is a display of what the Hilton name stands for in 2018, the company has truly fallen from a luxury brand to the level of a hole in the wall. Below are the Issues. 1. $139/Night Comparing the property to cost, it is WAY OVER PRICED! You can spend $80-$100 a night and get the same if not better accommodations and amenities. 2. Hidden Fees: Unless you review all the fine print you will miss many of the hidden fees associated with this property. - Parking Fee (NIGHTLY) $18 - Resort Fee (It is not a resort, there's 2 pools and 1 petri dish they call a jacuzzi. - They advertise breakfast every morning but no where does it say it costs $15-$20 for some eggs and bacon. No complementary breakfast because they have an over priced restaurant on site. 3. No refrigerator in the room! 4. If that doesn't top it off...ANTS!!! If I go camping I expect to eat and sleep with bugs. But if I spend money for an expecting quality hotel room, I DO NOT expect to walk into a room with dozens (visible) of little ants crawling on the desk and TV stand! This is a disappointment. Not only will I never stay at a DoubleTree hotel again. I will most likely never stay at a Hilton Property. Their brand and name have fallen far from where they once stood. Spend your dollars wisely and stay at a hotel that values their customers, not their customer's wallet. PS Photos on their website are EXTREMELY EDITED, do not fall victim to false advertising. read more

This place was average, but charged $25/night for parking...it wasn't even fenced in. Simple money grab.

I'm a new Hhonors Gold member thanks to my Amex platinum card. I booked this hotel via Amex and was surprised when I checked in that they did not honor my gold status because I booked via a 3rd party. I got my gold status because of Amex and because I booked via Amex my gold status means nothing??? Sounds like a scam to me! It's not like I paid a lower price via Amex because when I was shopping the price was identical on both the Hilton web site and the Amex web site. I just figured I should book via Amex because I'm new to this. That's not the only reason for the low rating of this hotel. I have to say my room looks dated and poorly maintained. I feel like I'm staying in a motel and this is not what I wanted. The laminate wood flooring is buckling and warped due to water damage and the room has a mold like smell. I started sneezing once I spent some time in this room. Unfortunately the hotel does not allow me to cancel my booking as its non refundable. I think I need to be more careful when booking a Hilton brand hotel as this is clearly in a rough state. read more

I would not recommend this hotel for you to stay at. Incompetent staff at the front desk, not enough staff at the front desk, staff could not give directions to hotel room, or suggestions for parking. On the night we stayed here there was an event, which means there was not enough parking for paying hotel customers. Digital key did not work, phone number to call regarding digital key was out because it wasn't normal business hours. Stains on the carpet small stains on the sheets. In adequate place not worth the money. Stay at a Marriott instead. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I promise you I would !!! This "hotel " is not a hotel at all it's more of a motel . I booked my friends and I a 2 night stay here because I looked at the photos posted and the motel is NOTHING like the pictures posted !! I was so embarrassed to bring my friends here . As soon as we all got to the property we were very disappointed with how it looked inside and out ! The room I got I'm positive was not cleaned at alll !! We found items left behind from the previous people ! We found a sock under the bed , the carpet was filthy with stains and I found a necklace on the ground with some Bobby pins laying around we didn't even stay in the room for more than 5 minutes ! I had to get us out of there !! I was very disgusted with this place !! They wanted 400$ for a 2 night stay with it being that way ! Nope !! I got a refund and left as fast as possible read more

This hotel definitely needs an update. It would be so beautiful.. there are courtyards and a really cute outside area , but looks totally abandoned. We stayed here because we had our puppy and the pet fee was really cheap. The rooms feel a little dirty , we had to ask for towels and toiletries twice because they never left enough for the 4 of us. I recommend if you're traveling with a pup , the price of the room and pet fee is totally reasonable. They didn't give us the 'cookies' that you get in check in. I had to ask because my kids really wanted them. The girls at the front desk had to go find some and the ones we got were totally stale and old. The on site restaurants were closed and there isn't really anywhere super close that's good to eat. read more

Bed bugs!!! Watch out! I stay here a few times over February and March for work. Myself and my coworkers have reported bed bugs over the last month! Sleep with clothes and socks on! Also they charge $10 for a fridge! You crazy?!? read more

My rating for this hotel is not for the guest rooms, it's solely based on my experience as an attendee for a conference/training held at the Doubletree. I've attended numerous conferences/trainings held at hotels, and have never felt the urge to review them until this last training. The catering staff and management seemed to go above and beyond to accommodate our requests, whether it was simply telling me what time it was, or a request for a cup of ice, each associate interaction was incredible. Upon arrival we were greeted by Scott, the General Manager, it was refreshing to know that he was front and center greeting us as we got off the shuttle, letting us know where our conference rooms were, where to grab a cup of Starbucks (machine or an onsite barista) and being present/available. Lunch was easy, and always timely when dining at the Bamboo Grille, their catered coffee service was spot on, conference rooms were nice and cool, plenty of places to relax/check your email during breaks, and their facilities were always clean. Hope I have future conferences/trainings at this location! read more
