They did not have a crib ready for my 8 month old despite calling and requesting 3 months in advance. My daughter had to risk SIDS and sleep in her stroller. I barely slept because of constantly checking on her. Also, we had to switch rooms because the plumbing was broken in our first room. There was another customer complaining of cleanliness and possible bed bugs. It did not feel covid clean. Our toilet was dirty when entering our second room. Lastly, it was very loud and rambunctious. This was not ideal with a young infant. I am so disappointed in this hotel. Last time we went to Orlando, we stayed at the Double Tree Universal Entrance, and we loved that hotel. This was a night and day difference between the two hotels owned by the same company. I will not stay here again. read more

This is not a Doubletree. If you like motel style outdoor corridors and parking, and not exaggerating, walking over a thousand yards from your room to get this parking, then this hotel is for you. Supposed to be a resort but has an average pool. Remodeled room but left old school bathtub with tiny shower. Not up to the Hilton brand standard. More like a Quality Inn or a Clarion. No elevator either. Very old school. On the plus side, room has fridge and beds are comfortable. Good cookies. read more

Checked in Saturday night. Room has musty smell and stuck here for 5 days at a convention. Asked the front desk to have my shower cleaned Sunday while I was away. Come back and still have mold. Well, hopefully Twitter can get them to clean the shower for the remainder of my stay. Save your money. read more

this review is for the Villas doubletree Hilton at SeaWorld, it was a nightmare I thought I was staying at a normal doubletree Hilton Hotel which is what I booked, instead they gave me a key for the Villas, not the real hotel right next to it, this place looks like an ugly motel from the outside don't believe the pictures you see at the website and it's even worse in the inside to start off the rooms are just feet away from the noisy pool which closes at midnight and you can hear kids screaming and laughing past the midnight hour but that wasn't the worst part, the room was covered with animal hair everywhere, the bathroom lights weren't working, it was pitch black when I shut the door, the shower drain was clogged, my feet were covered to my ankles with soapy water when I tried to take a shower, we checked in late at night and had driven almost 4 hours when we got there so I decided to clean everything with clorox wipes and we couldn't take a shower, I called all the numbers I could find in the directory to have someone come clean and fix the drain and the lights but no one answered, we had to sleep through it....the next morning I complained and asked for a full or partial refund and was told they couldn't do it because I booked through a third party (hotwire) and that otherwise they would have returned my money in full so I asked to talk to the manager all he said was that he could return the "resort" fee (if you can call that dump a resort) and the parking fee... I complained at the hilton website and another manager contacted me and he said "I see we gave you the resort and parking fee what else can I help you with? I said I would gladly return the resort and parking fee if they returned the 1 night room fee and I never heard back from him, hot wire also called the hotel and they also denied the refund to hotwire. It was very scary to stay with my family there in such an unsanitary place, the Hilton company should be ashamed to call this a Hilton hotel and also shame on them for not returning my money, I also asked if they could give me a night at a "real" Hilton hotel instead of a refund and they insulted me offering 1,000 hilton points worth $3.00 I hope a lot of people read this review and stay away from that dirty place, believe me this review is nothing compared to the real experience I had... I wish I would have taken more pics to show but my intention wasn't to write a review... I have a couple of videos I took to show the manager but I can't upload them in this review. read more

I did not get a room! Can not rate the rooms. I was here for a convention. The lobby is very big and open. There is a bar in the middle of the lobby as well. You can order food. They have a projector on the wall displaying a large image of that nights football game. The bathrooms smelled really good! They were also very clean. The convention area was pretty big. It seemed like it was just big enough for this event. But I think they have the move able walls. Let's not forget how convent this location is. Right next to seaworld, minutes away from universal studios lots of food options. So close to 528 that you might miss the place when you exit. read more

We used their long term parking and were very impressed with their efficiency. Excellent both in drop off and pickup. Very professional and super reasonable. I highly recommend this service. read more

I stayed here recently while I was working a convention. This hotel was too inconvenient for business travel and not really nice enough of a resort to stay for leisure with the kids. After reading Yelp reviews I asked for a room in the "tower" and was happy to find out that I was already booked in the tower. You see this hotel has many buildings. Most of them are motel style low-rises where the rooms open to the outside. The tower is the only building with rooms that open to the inside. I still had to drive around the hotel to get to the building. There is no entrance at the very front where you can unload. That made it difficult to get my display and all my supples for meetings to the convention area. Parking can be a bit far. I had a $129 convention rate but with all the taxes and the resort fee, the rate went up to about $150. Resort fee? This hotel dos not really feel like a resort. There was a sad looking pool smack in the middle of the resort and I saw a spa advertised. The rooms were acceptable but rather utilitarian and plain. The bathroom looks like it was redone-at least 10 years ago. The tub looks old and the sink is cracked. I did not find the bedding super comfortable. The blanket was very thin and did not keep me warm in the air conditioning. I will never understand why Hilton's other brands which are not full service, such as Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn, have comfortable, fluffy duvets, and a full service brand like Doubletree has thin blankets. One bright side at this resort was the restaurant, Laguna, for which I have written a separate review. Room service was quick and the food was very good too. The staff was friendly, although except for the restaurant and room service I really did not interact with anyone after check in. I do not get a choice of where to stay when I have certain meetings and conventions. If I had to I would stay at this Doubletree Resort. However if I had a choice I would not stay at this hotel again for personal or business. read more

I have stayed at this property two time. The first time I booked through the Hilton website and the Last time was through price line through a blind bid at a awesome deal. This location is very close or walking distance from Seaworld. They do provide shuttle to Sea world ,Aquatica and Universal daily. This property have rooms in the tower that is near the lobby and the villas that's sum-what outdoor inn style rooms that are around the property. The suites are mainly in the tower and the individual rooms are in the villas. Parking is not free. They offer valet parking for 12-14 dollars and self parking for 7 dollars. Valet parking is only useful if you are staying in the Tower. Check in was really fast and there was a long line in the lobby. I was impressed . I expected a 15 min wait , but it turned to a 5 min wait. The rooms were very clean and roomy. Include a large flat screen TV, menu to all the restaurants on the property and Crab tree and Evelyn bath products in the bathroom. Free coffee and coffee machine in room. Nice comfortable beds. Dinning I have been to there of there restaurants... Sonoma - Bar Located inside the lobby opens around 4 pm .Food menu is limited to appetizers. Max Deli- Basically a Cafe that brews Starbucks coffee. Food consist ready made sandwiches and salads. Red Parrot Pool Bar- Food menu is similar to Chill's . Other amenities... There are three pools , laundromat, Miniature Golf Course , pool tables, kids gaming area, fitness center, rental car counter, Expedia Local Expert desk, free computers and printing for guest and a onside UPS store and free WiFi . Over all nice hotel for a family vocations to Sea world, Universal or Disney parks. Great amenities and in house restaurants. Not far from major restaurants and shops.shops. Only issue is the parking fee. Even though its not a high as the Hiltion down the street(25 a night). 14-7 dollars a night can put a dent on a family's savings. read more

It's unfortunate to my excitement for a mini vacation from Northern Florida to Central Florida, specifically international drive. I stayed at this hotel/resort for almost an entire week and it was not pleasant at all. We went to Disney for the day to explore the magic behind the mouse and came to our hotel in the tower at 2:00am to find roaches in our bed and bathroom. We immediately went to the front desk to tell them about the pest problem, and the only thing they offered was a transfer to a different room. We did take the transfer to a room across the hall and as soon as I walked into the bathroom to take a shower another roach was crawling on the wall. All I could think was "You have to be kidding me". A shout startled me and it was coming from the main room. I ran to check who was shouting and it was my friend screaming because there was another roach on the wall as well. A persons nightmare come true!!! We went back to the front desk and told the assistant manager on duty that this was very unacceptable and we need to be compensated for this hassle. All she said was "I apologize for the inconvenience, but I can move you to the resort if you would like". After almost paying a $1,000 I felt we were treated with disrespect and no hospitality or courtesy. No one wants pests while they are staying at any hotel. I'm very disappointed in Hilton. Especially being a Hilton Honors member. I can respectfully say I will definitely not being staying at any Doubletree because of the disgust and fear of what could happen. Something should have definitely been done about this situation from management. You have been warned! read more

Great location, beautiful pool, restaurant looked nice and they have lots of amenities. This place is 1/2 and 1/2, the tower is very modern nice. Unfortunately all of the surrounding buildings are much older and not the same condition. We were 'upgraded' to a room, in one of the surrounding buildings. All rooms have outside access so we got to hear cars coming and going, footsteps, conversations, as well as the laundry cart at 11 PM. The bathroom is very out dated. After a long day at the parks we didn't want to go back out for food so we decided to have it delivered. Room service has 4 options which is weird since there is a full restaurant on site. Was informed by delivery service that Double Tree does not 'allow' them to deliver to rooms. So I get to walk 1/2 mile in the rain to pick up. Very dumb rule. Also, parking here is a joke. read more

Located at a 20 mins drive from Airport, DoubleTree is a great hotel for business travelers and families. I stayed here few months back when I was in Orlando for a conference. This place is huge and divided into a different sections. They have villa style hotel rooms , there are restaurants also on the property. They went through a recent makeover which shows and the overall the hotel looks great. They are now an official on-site SeaWorld partner hotel. They are conveniently located adjacent to SeaWorld and its water park Aquatica and we're also just minutes away from the other main attractions (Universal Orlando Resort,Walt Disney World ® Resort Theme Parks,The Orange County Convention Center). The check in process was smooth. The rooms are nice not overly lavish but they do serve the purpose. I was here for 3 days, since my conference was inside the hotel I was able to see and experience the service in the conference rooms. The staff is helpful and courteous. Their in-house restaurant where we had breakfast was just OK, I was expecting better food and service there. Overall staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience. read more

My family is in Orlando for a boys volleyball tournament. It requires us to stay in one of a few possible hotels. We read the reviews online, and were mildly concerned. Unfortunately, the majority of our team booked here, so our son didn't want to change hotels. If you're considering spending a night here, I suggest you put a load of towels and sweatshirts in your washing machine. Start it up, let it run its cycle, and then leave the clothes in there with the lid closed for a day. After a day has passed, open the lid and stick your head as far into your washer as possible. If you find that aroma and humidity enjoyable, you may enjoy your stay at this DoubleTree. read more

The photos on the websites do not do this hotel justice. The rooms are large with a mini fridge, sink and microwave. The hotel is walking distance to SeaWorld, about 20 min drive to airport, and 12 min drive to Disney. The hotel has a beautiful pool with a bar, then a family pool with jacuzzi. They also have outdoor pool, foosball, ping pong, mini golf, and giant checkers. However they had no ping pong balls and the pool table was missing 4 balls. Minus a star because the "free" breakfast, it is just a muffin, bagel, or orange/apple. They make you sit in the restaurant but have a buffet you can pay $7 a person to enjoy. The complimentary breakfast is downstairs in a corner. I wish they just put it outside or in a seperate area, as they have servers that have to bring the drinks ect. Ps during covid they do no room service but you just have to ask front desk for items or cleaning. read more

So dissatisfied with this location but I also feel sorry for the staff! We had some questions to ask the front desk and called them from the room phone and our cellphones for about 2 hours because we were very far from the front desk and NO ONE answered the phone!!! Not even the 1-800 reservation line answered! Then today, Saturday morning someone banged on our door at 9:28am!!! Needless to say it scAred the crap out of us as if their was a fire or something!! We called the front desk again and it took forever for someone to answer, we called 4-5 times from room phone and cell again! Finally someone answered and they apologized said they are understaffed and over 1000 folks staying there. From the time we called to where someone answered it was approx 30 mins; the call took about 3 mins. 30 mins after that, we get another knock, it was housekeeping asking us if we were checking out today!!! Like WTH ‍ Since when does housekeeping knock on doors when there is over 45 mins to check out???!!!!! Needless to say we were annoyed, will never be staying there again! read more

Save your family from a vacation from hell, STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!! There are several hotels along international drive with close driving distances to both Sea World and Universal studios with better rates. I can promise you that you won't regret not staying at this doubletree. I had to change my room once I got there because my sink was clogged and there was copious amounts of hair everywhere!!! Then ON MY BIRTHDAY i started my period and got EXTREMELY sick!!! The cleaning crew knocked on my door 7 times in ONE day, although I am really unsure why seeing as these are some of the nastiest rooms in Orlando. The room was literally SO nasty and humid that it ruined my leather bag and left us feeling sticky and musty smelling at all times. Every room comes with complimentary bug companions and dirty fart water, which for some reason they also water their lawns with at random hours so the entire resort smells like a giant sulfur pit. The managers are about as helpful as robo-callers and you have no choice but to park at least a football field away from every room with no easy access for disabled guests. I stay at hilton properties often, my family are diamond club members and I have honestly never stayed in a hilton property this post apocalyptic. I knew florida was the asshole of the country, but I didn't know it was literal!! read more

This hotel is a decent location if you are attending a conference at the Convention Center or visiting Seaworld / Aquatica. I was here for a trade show and my work chose this hotel because of its proximity to the exhibit hall we were presenting at. Easy check-in with the traditional warm cookies upon arrival. Staff was friendly. I had a Tower room, which was great. My coworkers had rooms in the shorter "motel" like buildings. My room was nice and spacious as I would expect for a standard room at a Doubletree. The beds were not the most comfortable but not the worse I have experienced either. This hotel does have secure self-parking or valet. The lobby is nice with a center wine bar that serves tapas well into the late night hours. (and those tapas are delicious). The hotel has a coffee shop that serves a limited Starbuck menu along with other snacks or quick grab and go meals. The onsite restaurant has dining inside or outside. There is a buffet for breakfast and dinner as well as a menu to order from. I had both breakfasts and the buffet is the way to go because everything is on it plus a made to order omelet station. And the buffet for dinner was pizza, pasta and salad when we ate there. And for the price it was really enjoyable. The restaurant has a full bar with a nice atmosphere. The pool seemed busy and looked like it would be fun for kids. Since I was there for work, I did not have the time to enjoy it so no comments to really include. Overall- it was a nice stay. Not my preferred choice when in Orlando. But if you get a great price and need this end of International Drive then it is a safe bet. read more

+ Warm cookie at check in, regardless of the time (pst...just have a solid chocolate chip cookie...what's up with all the nuts?) - I'm not a fan of the bungalow layout of the facilities; not easy to find your room and then you have to carry your luggage up stairs +/- decently priced overnight parking; and reasonably secure location - THIN WALLS, you can hear people walking by outside your room + comfortable bed and pillow; extra pillow and blanket in the closet + large bathroom sink area but small shower + Be sure to ask for the list of complimentary shuttles to and from nearby theme parks read more

The hotel is run down. It's more like a motel. We were put in a villa when asked for the tower. I read that roaches and ants got into first floor rooms , door to outside, so we moved to a different building on the second floor. The room was just as bad. Mold in the shower, smelled, doesn't have central air. I got extra towels and covered all surfaces. Although we saw where our towels came from. Just in a barrel sitting outside . So we never felt clean. We only stayed because we were here for a wedding. The banquet rooms were a step up. The rest of the hotel should follow. I give it a 1 star and that's being kind. read more

Motel quality, gave me a room that smelled like straight bleach, mind you I'm with my 4 month old. Had to switch rooms at 1am because my throat started to hurt from breathing in the bleach. This resort is awesome. We booked online and read the mixed reviews from those who loved it to the worse place ever. We rate this as a great spot. Excellent location, seriously walking distance to SeaWorld. The room selection is a little overwhelming, towers or east or west buildings but the front desk helped us and we loved our location. We were first floor with pool access. This hotel has all the amenities of a larger on site park complex but with a small personal touch. Beautifully landscaped and two pools, we preferred the one in the back. The lagoon pool has a bar and activities. We preferred the laid back atmosphere. read more

I wish you could give ZERO STARS. I currently have a BBB case open against this poor excuse for a Hilton establishment. I was more familiar with the IDrive location. However, this DoubleTree was closer to our activities for our 1year anniversary. So we booked using Hotel Tonight app the deal was only $79 a night! So we snatched up a room. When we went to check in, the front desk couldn't even find our reservation for about 20 minutes. She kept asking my name and how to spell it, even though my name is pretty simple. So cut to when we got to our room... it was underwhelming. There were these pink centipede like worms all over the floor and in the shower. Like I was scared to walk around with no shoes. DISGUSTING. Then I never got my incidentals fee refunded to me. I checked out 11/7/2021 and this is still an ongoing process. I have been blatantly lied to by the front desk and had no result from them UNTIL they were contacted by the BBB. Never again ! read more

Absolutely the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Was here for a week for business and none other were available. Would have left immediately if I had a choice. The room is so damp my clothes feel wet when I them on . Never mind how the bed feels. The caulking job in the bathroom looks like it was done by 10 year olds. The toilet is not secured to the floor. Need I go on? I can't wait to get the hell out of here. read more

Negative I secured my room through AAA, got the room for 77 a night, they put me in the MOST remote of bungalows. My cohort, who had the same rate, got the 17th floor in the main hotel. Positive They did eventually change my room to the tower Negative My first room had SEVERE mold. Bathroom, front door, air conditioner, and the tub drain was disgusting (I posted pictures). Lungs hurt after sleeping in the room the first night. Positive They did move me without a problem...twice in total. Negative My key kept getting demagnetized and my cohort had 3 Cockroaches in his room Positive They did keep re-magnetizing my key, and my cohort did get 2 free drinks and a dinner for the inconvenience of the cockroach encounter. The staff were very accommodating. Bottom line, it is Florida. The humidity makes the bungalows impossible to keep clean and the Doubletree is huge. The cockroach invasion was explained as "That time of year", meaning that it happens. This place could be a very great place, but I feel they really need to put more effort and staff into the hotel. Food/entertainment. Food choices around the place was not plentiful. Flippers pizza was fantastic, but too heavy every night. The Orena Sports Bar is seedy, but local and cheap. How can you beat 7.50 pitchers of domestic beer when a glass costs 3 bucks? Oh, Flippers delivers INSIDE the bar. And they do have one table of dealer dealt poker going! I also loved the Italian restaurant, and the Village Inn for breakfast. If you feel like walking, there is a cooler sports bar near South Hall, but pricier. Anything cool is a 30 dollar round trip. However, the South Hall of the Orlando convention center is in walking distance. All in all, I would not stay here again. I would stay at the Hilton, the Rozen Centre, and the Peabody as all are closer to the action. Yes, you will pay more, but you will clearly see the difference if you do. read more

This hotel is run-down and tired, and the service is slow. The bathrooms are completely lacking in countertop space, shelving or drawers so you have to shove all your toiletries into the corners next to the sink. In-room dining options are effectively barfood - pizza, wings - and the staff is incredibly slow to fulfill requests (I waited over an hour to get a luggage stand brought to my room after I checked-in and realized there wasn't one already there). It's clear the rooms haven't been updated in years - maybe decades - with worn down carpet, popcorn ceilings, and a musty smell. Finally, the water in the bathroom (which had stained grout and what looks like mildew in the corners) took nearly 10 minutes to warm up to a lukewarm temperature. I really recommend avoiding this option if you can - wish I could rebook for another hotel. read more

We were skeptical at first since only pictures of the hotel exterior was displayed on our online searches and no pictures of the interior or rooms were shown. However, we decided to give it a try since the exterior of hotel is very nice and we wanted the convenience of the shuttle to amusement parks. Here are a few things to note about the hotel: NEGATIVES: -Hotel interior and rooms are very old and outdated -room feels damp, is dark, and has strong odor/ smell especially near sink area -having no elevator is a huge inconvenience if you have to carry heavy luggage up or down the stairs -VERY LOUD rolling of carts / luggages very noisy in the mornings -tiny bathroom with basically toilet n tiny tub -shuttle buses to parks never on time and takes almost 1 hour to get to the park (literally across the street) after they have to pick up guests from EVERY hotel nearby POSITIVE: the fresh baked cookies they provide are very good CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FRONT DESK NOT VERY GOOD. Entering the lobby, everything looked so dark but seemed so welcoming when we saw a big snowman poster displaying all of the fun, free daily holiday events taking place at the hotel for guests. Members in our group instantly said what a cool and welcoming hotel to provide, fun daily events to their guests during holiday week! We felt lucky that we had booked into this fun hotel. Just to make sure that the hotel events were free of charge as it was stated on the poster in the lobby, we verified once again with front desk staff. They too, also said that there is no charge to guests for the events. WE WERE DISAPPOINTINGLY LIED TO! when our group showed up to Taco Night event, the hostess said that the event is not free. She called the Food and Beverage Manager, Alyona?? who came and talked to us. What a rude and terrible manager she is! She basically said that there is no such thing as free! She said that normally two tacos are $18.95 but for the taco event, it is only $12.95 for two tacos. We explained to her that front desk told us taco event is free to guest. Any intelligent Manager would have waived the fee of one taco plate for us as we were misinformed by front desk. Instead, all she can say is that she will make sure front desk staff doesn't say Free to any other guests. She made no compensation except repeatedly telling us there is nothing free. This Manager surely can use some customer service training! The Hotel Manager, Alberto??? was the only nice one who smiled and greeted us. Other than him, staff in general were not very friendly. Anyway, we did not enjoy our stay here and will not come back. read more

First I want to state this was the worst experience I've had at a hotel. Upon arrival we were told our room was not ready and we had to wait an hour. We wentoo bothered since were were hungry so we went to the restaurant in the hotel. Once we arrived in our hotel at first sight it was good. We got one of the suites so we're had views on either sides of the room. We immediately took a shower (wet had a long flight) and after coming out of the shower almost fell because the water had leaked through all over the floor. We had to use all of our towels to get the water up. We called room service to please bring us more towels and kept on our day thinking they would while we were gone. While getting ready I also noticed the floor was damp and sticky. I mean really sticky. Thankfully I brought slippers. When we arrived back at our room that night we noticed no one had been to our room to refill the towels. I called again to ask and they said they don't know why no one came and they'll send someone up. The next day we had lunch in our room (still no towels) so we had trash. We left it in the trash can and right in front in bags since it was a lot. We went about our day. Came back to the trash still there, and no towels brought. Our bed also hadn't been made since our first night stay but that wasn't a big deal. I called the front desk again and this time got no answer. I called again and got a very rude lady saying housekeeping was told and just wait. Our 4th-I repeat- 4th day back from our outing someone has come in. Old wet towels (from the shower leaking) and trash (which had piled up more from us eating in our room) we're still there and...SOMEONE HAD PUT 1 TOWEL ON THE UNMADE BED. At this point I figured they were messing with us. I called the front desk again, this time there were no pleasantries. I complained about everything, repeated that I had been nice and understanding but this was just ridiculous. The next day, the bed was made and towels and trash were taken care of. Do day 5th we got what we requested, only after having to get upset and call them out on all of the unprofessional things they were doing. 5th day! Our vacation ended on the 6th day. Seriously horrible experience. I don't recommend anyone staying here. read more

Was not impressed by the property at all. Felt run down. I have never had such a bad experience at ANY hotel I have ever stayed at My last night at the hotel, a leak burst in the ceiling while I was showering and dumped foul smelling water all over me. The front desk said they were sold out and could not switch me rooms but they MIGHT find a room the next day to allow me to shower before I return home on my 6 hour flight. That was not the only issue. The toilet was stopped up when I first got into the room. I called the front desk, housekeeping concierge, esc. esc., with no answer on the phone. I went to talk to someone at the front desk and the line to talk to someone was ridiculously long and finally when I talked to someone to unclog the toilet I had wasted half the day. Also there was one single towel in the room when I got there and it took 3 phone calls and 3 hours in order to get fresh towels. I was trying to be understanding due to Covid but the burst leak in the ceiling dumping rancid water on me was the final straw. I am extremely disappointed and horrified at these unsanitary conditions ESPECIALLY during a time when we are trying be as clean as possible. I feel like my stay here should have been comped, not one or two nights that they offered me. I honestly hope I don't get sick from that nasty water dumping on me! read more

DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Theme Park Resort - Leak in ceiling that dump foul smelling water on me while taking a shower - Hotels Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I understand that Orlando is expensive and we all try to save every penny we can to make our time here magical and valuable. Having said that, the saying, "You get what you pay for" is an understatement. This place would be unreasonably priced even if it were free. I booked my travel originally from January 7th to January 11th but we were expected to have a snow storm and flights were being cancelled so we changed our flight to the evening of January 6th. Upon arrival, there were at least 10 guests waiting to be assisted with only 2 people working at the counter. All the guests were stacked up against one another so, if you're thinking social distancing would be of the utmost importance at such a prestigious hotel, think again. I have severe asthma and made this clear to the lady I spoke with on the phone (Patricia I think was her name). She moved me from the Tower portion to a room with a balcony and I was ever so grateful. She said the balcony rooms are the first to go so I thought she was doing me a solid and was super excited to be staying at this beautiful hotel. Once I get my room, which was located in a two story building, I already knew this was going to be a disaster. The two level buildings looked worn down and dirty to begin with but the room was even more horrific. It smelled of smoke and mold. I started wheezing right away and called the front desk. After multiple attempts of trying to get a hold of the limited staff members, I left and went back to the lobby. I was initially helped by Beto, a nice gentleman. I got the other gentleman who was less than friendly and helpful. I told him the situation after another hour long wait and asked to be moved back to the tower rooms but he said nothing was available. I was moved to another building that was two floors and the room was just as bad as the first. I went a third time and was told the cause of the odors could be the carpets as they are old and was offered a room without a carpet. At this time, it was 2:34am and I had been traveling since 5pm. I was exhausted, wheezing and nauseous from the experience and the unfriendly staff member. I called Hilton's reservation team and asked if they could make me a booking for the night at the same hotel but for a tower room. I was told there was still a room in the tower and that I'll have to request for it at the front desk. I had been requesting to be switched for an hour but kept being told the rooms in the tower were sold out. Once I explained that the reservation specialist told me there were rooms still available in the tower, the gentleman said he would go in the back to speak with his supervisor. You would think that after this whole debacle, the manager/supervisor would at least come out to help but that wasn't the case. The gentleman returned and said to either take the room without a carpet or he could cancel my reservation. That was beyond rude as it was past midnight and other hotels wouldn't let me book a room for the 6th as it was now technically the 7th. I threw up on the way to my car and left the hotel. I tried calling them and messaging them through the Hilton application which allows for guests to chat with the staff at the hotel directly. I had been contacting them and was having a conversation before checking in but ever since I left, no one replied back and no one has answered the phones. The doubletree at seaworld looks great in pictures but it's even worse than people catfishing on dating sites with outdated photos or filters. Hilton used to be my hotel of preference due to their hospitality but I'm never going back to them again after this experience. They had a picture hanging on the wall behind the counter that said if guests aren't satisfied, they'll do whatever it takes to make it right. What a joke. I was basically told to suck it up and be ill in their mold infested, smelly rooms or get out. Where's the satisfaction in that or respect? Worst. Hotel. Ever. read more

Don't stay here, the pictures can me misleading. We expected a hotel room but instead got a outdated motel room which smelled strong with a interesting scent. Might as well stay at a cheaper motel like Days Inn. We asked for a room on the tower, because it wasn't what we expected and weren't comfortable with staying in the motel (villa). The staff informed us we could come back tomorrow and see it anything was available in the tower. No thank you. We cancelled and moved to a better HOTEL. read more

I recently stayed at the Doubletree for a convention, and I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel. I still had status from my days when I used to travel pretty regularly, so I got a nice room in the tower at the end of the hall, plus I got free breakfast in the morning and a couple coupons for free cold water bottles. Service was nice - I would recommend calling the front desk for anything you need though as room service did not pick up right away. The room was clean, the bed was comfy with lots of extra pillows, maid service was consistent, room service was prompt and my dinner one night of salmon and vegetables was pretty good. They were doing a bit of hotel construction during my stay, but they roped off the areas affected and kept the noise down especially during the evenings. There are 3 pools to choose from, which is nice and there are walkways for exercise and lots of activities for kids (I saw a playground and one of the pools looked more geared for kids). There was a convenient shuttle stop to the convention center (not sure if all conventions provide shuttles but mine did). I think it is walkable to the convention center from this hotel, but it was just too hot for me to try so I took the shuttle each time. I also noticed there was a free shuttle to Sea World (I didn't have time to enjoy this service but oh well, next time). Breakfast was buffet style and was good with lots of breakfast choices (eggs, bacon, pancakes, omlette station, baked goods, yogurt, even plantains, beans and rice). They have a main restaurant and a deli onsite (had the pastrami sandwich one evening and that was yum!), plus there is also a Subway and an Italian restaurant across the way for other dining options. I felt relaxed and safe here. If I had a convention here to attend again or if I was vacationing, I would stay here again. read more

Room was decent enough. Miscellaneous hairs in the bathroom, but clean overall. My coworker is Hilton Diamond so breakfast was included. The hostess couldn't find the name and then asked if I was sure I had the right name/status. I found the name on the paper for her. Fine. Get into the buffet and it's a good spread. The omelet station though. Wow service can be improved. She didn't greet me, was over on her phone. Ok I can deal. But when other patrons came up she was a whole different person. Warm and friendly and the conversation flowed freely - in Spanish. When she spoke to me in English, contempt written all over her face. Gee thanks. Other staff were lukewarm as well. Only positive is the cookies at check in. But for all of that I'd rather go to another hotel. read more

I remember Doubletree by Hilton being pretty nice. Not sure what happened at this property. We had to stay here during a volleyball tournament and the team referred to it as "the dump." Our room in particular had a large red stain on the thread bare carpet. So we placed a towel over it and decided to wear socks or shoes at all times in the room. The ceiling shower had mold spots growing. Inside the shower there was predominant mold growing around the perimeter and found a red stringy thing I didn't explore. The walls are paper thin and we can hear our neighbors conversations. The place hasn't been updated since the 80s and has dim lighting and popcorn ceilings. Passed by a guy outside smoking a blunt. This place is a dump and Hilton should disown the property from its brand. I am embarrassed for you Hilton. read more

We stayed here in December 2021 with our two dogs for the AKC Invitationals at the Orange County Convention Center. I was upgraded due to being a Gold member and we got a King Suite on the 2nd floor of a villa. Parking was convenient and we got a reduced fee for parking due to booking with the AKC room block. We also did not have to pay extra for the pet fee due to the deal with AKC's room block. The staff was friendly and very accommodating they always gave me an extra cookie in the evening when I asked for one. They also let our dogs dine with us on the outside patio. Service was good in the restaurant and I got breakfast to go a couple of mornings for my husband and I. The breakfast was very good lots of choices and they even cook fresh omelets and eggs for you. There was no where to get coffee until 7am if you are an early riser you must make coffee in your room. Our room was not ready on time and when it was ready I feel like it was a rush cleaning job. We had nothing in the kitchenette as far as towels or silverware/plasticware etc... They missed cleaning off the outside balcony to our suite and there was a cup with cigarette butts in it on the table on the patio. Also, I requested they clean our room on day 2 only to come back after the dog trial and find they did not clean it or take out the trash. I let them know the next evening (too tired to deal with it at that time). That next evening they gave me fresh towels and I asked that they please just come empty our trash cans which they did send someone up to do that within 30 minutes of my request. The waitress in the hotel did an awesome job making sure she knew what martini my husband ordered and they got it right, although it was $16 for one drink but my husband said it was good. They automatically add a 15% gratuity to your bill in the restaurant for dinner. The rooms are a little dated or well-used but overall for the money I found my stay here enjoyable. They had photo scenes setup for the Holiday in the lobby and around the pool area. There was plenty of room to walk our dogs around the villas. The hotel has a CVS down the road from it and that was convenient for picking up a few snacks for our room. I think the hotel is just short on help when it comes to turning the rooms over which is why our room wasn't ready on time. I would stay here again especially for the great rate we got and being able to have our dogs with us. read more
