Worst experience ever for it to be a Hilton property. They say this is a resort & they charge a resort fee! This is no way a resort! First, they do not have any handicap accessible rooms that are valid. It took me 2 days to agree & accept a room to perhaps accommodate my handicapped mother & our 2 grandkids. Upon arrival, parking is a joke. They have no security to check for valid handicap parking. People parked in firezone areas. I asked before arriving if the room has a refrigerator & microwave, they said yes. Ok, entering the room, popcorn ceilings, really! Had to look for the microwave. Where could it be? At the bottom of the only nightstand taking up the lamp outlet. We stayed in the 15 floor tower. The HOTEL have about 11 villas. Im thinking wow, they must have at least 4 major pools! Wrong.....They have one major pool by the Tower & one pool called family pool that has a hot tub enough for about 8 people in which I had to complain that the jets wasn't working. They did fix it the next day. I had to call housekeeping to come clean our restroom 5 minutes from entering the room. The toilet dispenser broke! No Kleenex in the restroom, the bathtub had mold & cover up mess all in it & look at their type of remodel. They do not even try to cover their mistakes. We rented the cabana for one day. Our friends who also stayed at this non-resort came to our room (they too had a handicap person & was booked in the villas); they informed us that our room was an upgrade to them. My mother had to use the tower lobby handicap restroom because she's handicap. What a joke! Restaurant another joke. Our friend texted me that she was headed to the breakfast area where we reserved our cabanas. We met her there & the man at the desk informed the lady that he already gave us our cabana. My husband stated to him thats not true. He tried to argue with him until I spoke up & said we are not with the lady who came to get her cabana. We came back to eat breakfast which is also a joke. They have 2 types of menu for breakfast: free continental & $15 hot breakfast. I'm a Diamond member & have never been treated nor saw anything like this. The hot breakfast consisted of: salty thin bacon, vegan hard over cooked bacon, some type of sausage patty (it wasn't pork nor turkey, but looked & tasted like garbage), can corn-beef hash (looked like dog food), no season rice & black beans, sloppy 40 weight nasty canned sausage gravy, hard biscuits, cut up fruit, cooked tomatoes & folded dry crepes that looked terrible. I only had bacon & asked for 3 boiled eggs in which I was informed it would take 20 minutes to cook. Im a cook, really, even 3 dozen of eggs for easter doesn't take that long. Anyway, my mother didn't come to breakfast. I also noticed that our juice in which we ordered came in very small glasses, but others (who wasn't the same color as us) glasses were large juices. I didn't say anything but kept watching. I asked our waiter how can I get her breakfast in a togo box. He stated that they did not have togo boxes, but I had to go to the market to get the continental togo. Then I watched our same waiter come out with a togo box & gave it to a table (may I say they were not the same race). Time for the check. Our waiter tried to charge me for 2 upgrades in our breakfast. I corrected him. He came back with the correct ticket, then I asked him for a togo box. He stated to me that buffet cannot have togo box. I said isn't this breakfast no matter free continental or upgrade is a buffet? He said yes. I stated then why did you give that table a togo box. I then said to him thats okay im not going to argue with you so I went to go get an empty plate to cover the other plate atook it to my mother. I can see if I went back to the bar to get more food. Next I had to go back and forth with the front desk about my $30 a day credit in which they never mentioned when I checked in. I must say this is the reason why this is not a resort. It has NO basketball court, no real activities for kids of all ages and the main pool has rocks where I had to inform the parents that their kids were putting rocks in the pool. I will give credit to where credit is do. Kelly, the cabana attendant was very nice to us. Our last day: same man about the cabana was at the breakfast hub. We informed him that we had a party of 5. He sat us at a table for 4 and we had to wait for them to bring us a chair. His attitude was just unprofessional as it was the day before, but I must say that our waitress was so nice as well as Emanuel and Emily. I know for a fact they were not booked for our last day and not for the next day. I requested a late checkout. After going back and forth with the front desk informing me they can give us until noon and its $20 an hour after noon. read more
