Our room .. nice digs !!
    Frank D.

So far .. it is just a regular room .. nothing fancy. It has good space, although, the shower and soaps / toiletries leave something to be desired. Some of the built-in lamp outlets don't work, but the air conditioning is cool and relaxing, as the puppy seems to like it ! The bed is a tad hard, but the bedding and general smell of the room seems fresh. The decor is fairly updated, but the reading chair is not comfortable at all. Unfortunately, there is no side table to rest a book or coffee, so the ottoman will have to do. Room lighting is a plenty and the business desk / chair will do well .. not over-complicated. The view is ok .. all things considered. However .. one aspect that I missed in my review, which was not actually discovered until late last evening, is the fact that the air conditioner, even though it keeps the room cool, seems to be extensively leaking water into the room and soaking the rug underneath the unit and out to the business desk. The carpet is of a dark colour so it was not noticed until I walked on it barefoot later last evening. Truthfully, I would stay here again, despite the issues, because, frankly, this is the first time it has happened in this hotel during one of our stays, and is not hard to overlook. If we were going to be staying longer, we would, most likely, check to see if we could get our room changed. Reparations, could take some time, I'd imagine. Cheers !!

My wife and I got invited to a few family get togethers this past weekend and we were looking for a place to stay for a few days. We chose the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Carson because of its super close proximity to the 405 freeway (Carson Avenue exit) and because they are dog friendly. I booked the room on the Hilton app and when we got to the hotel this past Saturday (around 4:30 PM), we were told that the room that I selected (standard King Room) was not ready yet. They offered to cover the cost of the pet fee ($50) which I was happy about so my wife and I picked another room and we unloaded our things. After a short time, we realized that we left a few things at home so we drove to Ralph's grocery store a mile down the road and got what we needed. So nice having a grocery store so close to the hotel! When it came time to take my dog out, there is not only plenty of grass around the property, there is also plenty of light which comes in handy at night. The security guard at the Carson Community Center across the parking lot also makes things feel safer. In the event that you are hungry and want something to eat, there is a Jack in the Box next door as well as a Subway and Starbucks across the street. You can also have DoorDash deliver food to your room (like I did one day). Thanks Doubletree for the excellent stay that we had. Look forward to seeing you in November when we return to town!

The bartender was amazing. Her name was Martha, we ordered Hennessy Margaritas, she returned and told us that they were out of Hennessy and suggested a Courvoisier Margarita, and baby let me tell you it was everything. I ordered the chicken Cesar salad and unfortunately I had to send it back because the salad was swimming in dressing. They were able to promptly make a new one and I was completely satisfied.

I recently selected this property to host several work colleagues and I for a few nights while working nearby (and I'm so glad I did). I worked with Olga R. to coordinate the contract and she was INCREDIBLE to work with. She was extremely responsive, detailed, and accommodating to our needs. I also worked with other members of her team who were just as lovely to work with (Queennetta P.). The hotel is located in a great location and is extremely well maintained. They have a restaurant and bar inside, as well as a small convenience store. (There is a Ralph's within walking distance if you need anything further.) I also need to shout out Kenneth at the front desk for awesome customer service. He brought my luggage upstairs when I forgot it after putting my parking pass on my car (and even brought up a warm cookie and bottle of water). He went ABOVE and BEYOND to make my check-in process so smooth. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again myself when I'm in the area.

    In the spirit.

It would be easy to ding the hotel some stars for its age and wear. But she's an aged movie star. The important things are there. Friendly service Hot shower. Bears repeating. Hot shower. Excellent restaurant food The 4 pillows were moldable The bed sucked me In And the air conditioning kept it below my average ask. So shes been around the block a bit. Yet she knows what's she's doing and will make you happy you took the time to Hang with her. I'll be back.

Breakfast menu-they also serve regular breakfast if u don't want to eat buffet style.breakfast buffet is 26.00 per person

Always a nice stay here at doubletree Hilton in Carson CA. Hotel is clean and spacious and we really enjoy Anthony (I think that was his name,Filipino guy night shift) Breakfast buffet was good with a great selection of hot food and cold fruits with self serve juices. We also had drinks and food from the lounge. Servings were big for the food and shareable. They even packed utensils and condiments. Prices are decent.Looking forward to our next stay in November

We booked a day-long Cabana rental through ResortPass. It was $100. I think we stayed about 2 hours. Best things - there is free parking. Check-in was easy and the front desk woman was very kind. We were handed a basket with water, some snacks and some cookies. Then the bad started... there was no bar or restaurant service until 5 "because it's Sunday"... But I wouldn't have booked this if I knew that. My visions of cocktails by the pool quickly faded. That just wasn't going to happen. So... we go to the pool area. And a family is already in our cabana. Even though there was a sign saying "Reserved"... it was full of wet kids. They vacated. But every seat in our cabana was soaking wet. So we can't sit down. We did this thing where we started grabbing seats from other cabanas to somehow find a place to sit. But the "luxury cabana" was really just filled with a few chairs and a table... no chaise. And no privacy whatsoever. Also no electricity. Now I know... maybe you don't think relaxation... power strip. But I only do this thing so I can actually WORK on my laptop. That's important to me. Let the boyfriend swim while I'm working. But NONE of the outlets worked. Turns out the power was turned off. We had to call for assistance. They turned on the power. But I think the power was on for the other guests who didn't pay the money for the cabana rental but were staying in the hotel and wanted to have a *Party* in the pool area for us all to enjoy. They took over two of the cabanas next to us and brought coolers, weed and a sound system. This place is NOT restful or relaxing in any way. We only stayed at the pool for maybe two hours max. We were chased out by the music and partying. That isn't what I paid for. There is no one monitoring this situation. I actually had another guest come up and ask if she could take our towels because there weren't any towels to be found in the pool area. STILL - no ... you're not taking our towels... we need them to sop up the soaking wet seats and floor. And who comes and asks to take someone else's towels?? Also - listen... I know it's a pool area.. but this place was so poorly designed. There is NO SHADE. The pool is in direct sunlight and the cabanas also don't offer much cover. Basically a canopy with no privacy whatsoever and no coverage from the sun. This area was designed without much thought as to sunlight and there is NO escape from the scalding sun. Just poorly situated. Bad design all the way around. Skip this if you're looking for a relaxing retreat. It was really just a miserable few hours in the heat with no wifi. This pale workaholics' idea of hell.

Overpriced hotel! Rooms go for over $200 a night! In addition to this they charge a $150 deposit for incidentals at check in! The bath tub is clogged up and takes long for water to drain off! The door in my room had No latch and No deadbolt! Also No microwave in the rooms! No laundry room here as well! My room was overlooking the 405 freeway! Only good things about this place are: the front desk offer you a complimentary cookie when you check in! The AC in the room is really effective! There is fitness center and swimming pool on site!

Decently priced Hilton property that is less than 5 miles away from LAX but doesn't have the price tag of other properties in close proximity to the airport. I stayed for one night waiting for my fight out of LAX and was able to do late check-in as I wasn't able to get to the hotel until 1am. I had to wait at the glass doors entrence for about 5 minutes as I waited for the attendant to finish whatever he was doing, but the check-in process was less than 10 minutes total. There is a room deposit of $150 at this property, which isn't advertised when you book, but it is fully refunded as long as you dont damage any property. As with many other double tree properties, you get complimentary water bottles and cookies if you want them. The amenities were also a gym and indoor pool on the 2nd floor, both of whixh i didnt uae because i was only staying for a few hours. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and was exactly what we needed for one night I would definitely recommend this to others staying near the carson area.

This is a run of the mill, low class Motel 6. Highly…read moredeceptive ratings on other websites give it 8 out of 10 stars when they only deserve 1. They advertise a "kitchenette", in the room. For them, that means a microwave/fridge. There is no safe in the room, no iron/board, no clock/alarm. Plus the main outlet by the table didn't work at all. They have an outrageously priced vending machine. I wanted a bottle of Coke, they wanted $4.50 for it! I went out in the morning, came back that afternoon and my key card had been turned off for no reason. Biggest disappointment of all...,they advertise 500 Mbps WiFi. In actuality, it is 4-5 Mbps. No, that is not a typo...they have single digit wifi, not even fast enough to open a webpage or check email. I had to use cellphones data from phone to accomplish anything. I reported it to the desk person and showed him speed test on my phone. He didn't seem surprised or alarmed. Said he would report it. I left hotel came back over 8 hrs later. Wifi was actually slower....not even 4Mbps! When checking out the next day, I mentioned the wifi issue to the morning desk person and ran a speed test with a result of less than 5 Mbps. He insisted it was weather related, even though I could show him screenshots of speed tests from nearby restaurants and other places that all had at least 500. The final insult was that I had to give $100 deposit for incidental room charges. I broke nothing in the room, there was nothing in the fridge for me to be charged for, I made no phone calls....nothing to be charged $100. I was assured I would get it back upon checkout. I checked out on Saturday. On Monday they put the $100 charge through instead of refunding it. I had to contact the credit card company and do a chargeback to get my money refunded. On the positive side, the room was very clean, bed comfortable. But I wouldn't stay there again under any circumstances. I posted several pictures of the slow WiFi via speed tests taken at different times of the day/different days.

Also the door in the side entrances to the motel states it locks all the time and appears to have to use the room key to access but it does not work. The door is swings open easily and anyone can walk in to the motel. But good location as well just off the freeway. I would not mind staying here again though.

Otherwise, there are better options all over the Southland including other Hampton Inns. My review is coming from the perspective of a Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond member. I stay in plenty of Hampton Inns around the US and even some around the globe. I recognize that it is in the budget arm of the Hilton brand portfolio and when I stay at a Hampton Inn, I am not expecting high-end, luxury amenities, personal services, or public spaces with artwork. I am looking for a reasonable price for the area market, a safe and clean stay, and casual but professional staff interactions. The 2 features I like about this hotel are the free self-parking and the overall cost for the local market. Almost all other hotels in and around this area (within 10 miles of LAX) charge some parking fee which this property does not. Also, the room price was not dirt cheap but was among the lowest of the other area hotels of similar comfort levels. While it is hard to not like that, I came away from my first stay here with an understanding that you get what you pay for. It is in an odd location, just off of the freeway and jammed into some open ground abutting 60 mph traffic. Just be aware that it is not really sound-proofed so freeway noise is going to be present. Also, the desk staff seems to have been called up from the bush-league. Like most hotels, guaranteed check in is at 3p. I happened to arrive early at 1:30p to an empty parking lot and a quiet lobby and thought the likelihood of me getting into a room early might be high. The desk agent did not look up at me standing at his desk until I intentionally made some noise and then instead of greeting me like a guest, he asked what I wanted as if I was interrupting him. I told him my name on the reservation and asked if I might check in early. He told me no immediately without even checking if there were rooms available. I have done this enough to know that it is sometimes helpful for the front desk to check to see if there were rooms available early and so I asked if he would check and he told me he knew that there were none. When I asked if he knew if any would be available early, he told there would not be any available until 3p and that they would text me if something opened up. I left a little annoyed because I felt like I had been blown off and I started driving away to look for somewhere to grab a late lunch. I received a text 8 min later that a room was now ready. When I got back to the hotel to ask about it, he acted like he had no idea who I was as he was checking me in. I thought it was odd when I had to ask if I could have a bottle of water which is a benefit I get for being a Diamond member. He gave me one but would not have had I not asked and I never received any acknowledgement of loyalty. I never really expect that anyway but I find it nice when a hotel staff will welcome me as a guest based on that. It just shows that they spent some time paying attention to caring about their customer base. The hotel was clean but clearly old and in need of a refresh. There is a lot of chipped paint in the public spaces. In the end, I got a bed, a parking space, did not get robbed, and did not see bed bugs. But I also got zero in terms of polite and professional service, no loyalty recognition, and no warm and fuzzy endearment to want to stay here again.

Welp this place was legit horrible but we stuck it out for the night since it was booked and paid for. When I first walking to the room, I noticed the dirty chairs (not pictured) with all the old stains on it. You can tell they had just finished cleaning the floor because it was still a little wet and it smelled fresh. As the night went on I started noticing different things in the room. First discover/disappointment was the table with the dip that looked like it was going to cave in and break. Then I went to put my bag (larger size tote bag) and instantly removed it because as soon as I put my bag on or fell down. There NO little soap or bar soap to wash our hands, so that's when the body soap dispenser came down trying to put the soap in our hands. About an hour is later my sister (who is still recovering 2 strokes) went to shower and almost injured herself trying to get in the tub. She got into the tub backwards so that she could reach the assistance handle on the inside of the tub. Among other things that we noticed this is a HORRIBLE place to stay.
