Hair all over floor the day we checked in.
Priscilla The Cat ..

When we checked in our room was filthy. We had two queen beds, I slept in one, my husband in the other. I noticed the white bed linens had yellow stains all over them, the bathroom floor was coated in long dark hairs, as was the bath tub. There was also a brownish red stain in the tub that looked like old dried blood. Needless to say we were terrified to shower in there, not knowing what had previously transpired in the bath tub to leave that sort of stain.. My parents traveled with us, and stayed in the room next door. Their room reeked like dead fish and dirty Butt hole. My Mom found yellow pee stains all over the wash cloth AFTER she had wiped her face with it! We complained to management several times, were promised someone would be up immediately to clean and sanitize the rooms, no one ever showed up to do so.....? At check out my husband complained yet again, and questioned management, we were essentially blown off. Over a week passed, and with dozens of phone calls later, management finally offered us a refund, but it was like pulling teeth to get them to understand our concerns. There is NO EXCUSE for such laziness when it comes to keeping a hotel room sanitary for guests, this is actually dangerous to people's health! I urge you not to stay here, but if you do, and you encounter the same problems please, contact the department of health. This is was a horrible experience, and I would hate for anyone else to deal with it.

This is a review for Deadwood property. The location is awesome although the first night it had a lot of road noise! Which I have a difficult time drowning out but my wife slept through. I talked to Shannon and she moved us to Main Street side it was shocking how quiet it was. This property is in a great location and easy to walk to bars, shopping and great food. Everyone I dealt with was awesome. If you don't have a appreciation plan you definitely need one not only for everyone at this site and especially Shannon as I have lots of friends who like to come to Deadwood to gamble I will definitely be recommending this location and especially Shannon!

The location within Deadwood is nice, in a central location for walking around the area's shops, casinos, and stores. I was able to easily explore the area on foot in the evenings. The hotel lobby looks nice and modern upon arrival (a good first start). Check-in was smooth. I had a room with a window that faced inside towards the lobby, which I was a little skeptical about at first but ended up being great because it reduced the potential for road noise that sometimes plagues hotels. I wasn't in my room much, so not having a window with natural light to the outside wasn't a problem. The room itself was clean and solid, with good space for spreading out belongings. I found it comfortable and quiet, a good place to sleep after a long day. Breakfast was perfect for what I wanted - a hearty meal with a number of options that I could fill up on before heading out for a day of hiking - eggs, sausage, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, some breads/muffins, oatmeal, pancakes, cereal. Parking is a couple minute walk away, in a parking lot with a gate. I didn't mind it since the weather was nice and I didn't have a lot of items to take back and forth. In other situations I can see how that could be bothersome. The hotel, since it is affiliated with the Gold Dust casino, also had a deal where you could get a coupon at the restaurant across the street along with some slot play for a discount. I expected to lose the money for slots (and I did), but it was a good excuse to check out the casino briefly.

On Sunday night I used points and stayed free and Monday night I paid for my night, happily! This is listed as a resort instead of a hotel. You enter through the casino. Then you walk through to an elevator that you take to the lobby of the hotel. Then, you walk from that elevator to the front desk. Here the friendly, welcoming staff already had my key and paperwork ready for when I checked in. Then you walk around the front desk to an elevator where you go from the lobby and go upstairs to one of the hotel's floors. These are different buildings stacked up against the mountain. I went down to the casino. Heidi at the player's club was INCREDIBLE. She went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our stay REMARKABLE! Our room was newly renovated and beautiful. The floor was tiled at the foyer and bathroom. The bedroom was no-shag carpet. The beds and pillows felt amazing. Each headboard curved around the side. The light next to the headboard was appropriately shielded by the headboard to make the light the perfect brightness. The TV was huge. It was on a bracket that allowed it to be angled in any direction. The refrigerator and microwave were behind rattan doors. This made them look better. It also hid the light from the microwave. There is live music and multiple eating locations, including one that combines the option for betting on live sports events. There is a coffee shop and gift shop. The pool and hot tub were closed for renovation when I was there.

Yes it was Sturgis…read morerally bike week, and yes should have made reservations but we didn't, that is why we went early. Standing at host desk. Looking into dining room, 3 maybe 4 tables seated, rest are empty. My odds are good! "Can we have dinner?" I asked with a smile. - Do you have a reservation? - Sorry we don't. "Ahh, sorry we are fully booked." At first I thought he was joking, you know lifting the mood a bit. Nope, dead serious- sorry we are booked. I look at him, look over his shoulder into empty dining room, back at him. - Nothing? - You can have food at the bar on second floor, but we are booked up here. "We are here through tomorrow, you have anything for tomorrow early?" - Sorry, fully booked. You need to make reservations months in advance. (I should mention, we had a gift card for this place, we live in CA, go to Sturgis every year for bike rally, so someone got us a gift card for this place.) I remember being in Sturgis in 2019 and 2020 during covid shutdown, all the restaurants were appreciating business we brought in. Well, that was then, this is now. We are booked he said with an empty dining room behind him. Went to a different casino, they too were booked and no walk ins but the difference was that second casino restaurant was proper booked, every table was full. So went to a third casino and had a steak there. I get it, you are booked, but with 75% empty dining room that just sounds like you are not interested. Anyways, it sounds like a lovely place and very popular so be sure to book in advance. For us- we gona skip it next year.
