It was $2500. His excuse was that his family member is sick. I am sorry to hear that, but unfortunately, the family member was ill before you took the job. So if you can't do the job, don't take peoples money. As he never produced any of the site designs, he said he was going to, I offered to actually let him keep half the money because he did make a site visit and do one phone call with Us. The phone call he did with us was awful. The measurements were all wrong, he didn't know how to use the computer, he couldn't use even his own software. Regardless, I gave him one week to return half of our money we had given him since he never gave us any product. He refused and ghosted us. I'm really upset because I liked him a lot. We thought he would do a good job. But you can't take peoples money and then blame you're not doing the work on sick family members. Just don't take the job. Now I I'm in the middle of dealing with reporting him to the contractors board and dealing with Nevada licensing. All of this could have easily resolved if he either did the work he said was going to work to do or refunded us if he was unable to do the work. Either way would've been fine with us. Unfortunately he chose neither.:(

The scope of work in the backyard was: remove grass, install putting green, trench for gas line, install fire pit and pavers, relocate BBQ island, repair cool deck around pool and patio, replace all plants and irrigation, install rocks and flagstone, install new lighting. The result was great. Todd was responsive and offered suggestions to make our yard even better than we hoped for. It has been a few years and we still love our backyard. His crew showed up on time and in 2 days the project was done. I could not be happier with the results. The pavers are beautiful. Throughout the project the whole crew was friendly and professional. They answered my questions and the cleanup was immaculate. I highly recommend Metropolis Landscaping.

This company was hired as a subcontractor through my general contractor for a painting job…read more Unfortunately, the work did not match what was paid for despite them receiving full compensation. I specifically paid for separate primer and paint, but the subcontractor only applied paint and did not use primer at all. This is a significant issue, as primer was part of the agreed scope and directly affects the quality and durability of the job as my whole home was VERY DARK CUSTOM COLORS. When this was brought to their attention, the subcontractor refused to reimburse any portion of the cost. There was no effort made to resolve the issue or take responsibility for using lower-quality materials than what was paid for. The owner of the company, Gary, outright admitted to omitting primer to save money and profit more from the job. The owner of the company was also very rude to me and my family in our home and told three different versions of his story, none of which were the truth about the work that was done in my home. While the job was completed, it was not completed as agreed, and the lack of accountability afterward was disappointing. Based on this experience, I would advise others to clearly document materials and confirm what is actually being used on-site before work begins. One positive note I will add is the painting crew did take great care in protecting my floors, fixtures, and furniture during the painting process.

The work they did was rushed, sloppy, and clearly not done with care or attention to detail. The paint is peeling everywhere, and it's obvious they didn't prep the surfaces properly. They painted right over visible damage without repairing anything first. The chrome molding they installed is full of cracks and misaligned pieces, it looks like it was thrown together just to get the job over with. It honestly feels like they were more focused on getting paid than doing quality work. One of the most upsetting things is that I personally watched them take the new sheetrock that was supposed to be installed in my home and then never put it in. That's completely unacceptable. They essentially cut corners right in front of me. To make matters worse, the team that was supposed to "deep clean" my house after the restoration left it filthy. I had to take multiple days off work just to clean and make my home livable again. I only started noticing all of these issues after settling back in, and since then, all I've gotten from them are excuses, broken promises, and endless delays. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you've already been through a traumatic experience like a house fire, the last thing you need is a company that cuts corners, lies about fixing things, and leaves you to deal with the mess they created. I have many more pictures of their sloppy work and damage done to my house but this is some of them.

This review is submitted on behalf of my wife Tiffany C. and myself…read more Two words: Worth it. We consider ourselves blessed to have found Jarrell through Yelp. Over the years, we had our stairs repaired multiple times because no one bothered to figure out what the underlying issues were. Jarrell took the time to get to the bottom of what the issues were and came up with the appropriate solutions. We weren't just looking for someone who can do the job, we were essentially looking for someone who can permanently fix the issues with our stairs. And that person was Jarrell. Of the handful of contractors we have previously hired and ultimately failed, Jarrell was the one and only person who delivered and actually understood the assignment. Upon making an initial appointment for an estimate with Jarrell, he did contact me to let me know that he was on his way. He was on time. As per my request, he did contact me upon arrival and remembered not to ring the doorbell. Jarrell provided multiple estimates that we could choose from. Each estimate clearly listed all of the work that would be done, so that we would all be on the same page. With his attention to detail, Jarrell had remembered to include tasks that we had previously discussed verbally in the estimates. More importantly, he did follow through and complete these said tasks. Meaning, he is on top of things and doesn't need to be reminded. Jarrell is a man of his word. Punctuality Punctuality was taken very seriously. Jarrell consistently showed up on time on the dates and times he announced he would be working on the stairs. Communication Jarrell always kept an open line of communication. He welcomed questions and concerns. With my experience with previous contractors, I've always found this to be lacking and a struggle. Therefore, I was pleased with Jarrell's forthcoming communication that lasted throughout the entire project. Transparency Jarrell was transparent about fees and costs. These were communicated in advance. He is honest and trustworthy. Respectful After each time Jarrell came to work on the stairs, him and Arlene cleaned up, this included sweeping and tidying up the garage. This may be deemed common practice, however, with our previous experience with other contractors, it actually isn't common practice. Jarrell and Arlene also had things put away neatly and organized. Garbage produced from the project was also removed from the premises. Craftsmanship The quality of his work speaks for itself. There is attention to detail and precision. You should know by now how unbelievably difficult it is to find someone like Jarrell in Las Vegas. With hiring Jarrell, what you are paying for is someone who will complete the job correctly the first time.

I'm usually a good judge of character, but sadly, I was wrong about Drake Dunn. He made several mistakes installing my barn doors which resulted in unnecessary damage to the casing around the door frame and scratches on the wall. But, what was most concerning was that he neglected to install the barn door track system that was included in the barn door hardware kit. My grandson pulled on the barn door to open it and it nearly fell on him. If I hadn't caught it and got it back on the track, it would have crushed him. When I reached out to Drake Dunn, asking to schedule a time to install the track that should have been installed when he installed the doors, he replied that he no longer lived in California and that my job was past the one-year warranty.
