We heard great things about Circle H but what a disappointment! We purchased 2 top sirloin steaks (…read moretotal two pounds ) and they were very tough and had little taste. We ate less than half and threw the remainder away. We also bought some fajita beef so we're hoping it's better or at least good enough to eat all of it. We won't be returning.

Came across this place when I started to take my dog to the dog park across the street. Came here…read moreabout four times (every week since I saw it) now and every time I come, I usually have a really good experience and the quality of meat is always pretty good. I spend almost couple hundred dollars each time I go and this last time I bought a seasoning and when I got home to use it, it was unsealed and the seasoning was pretty hard so I assumed that maybe some moisture got into it. I went back to go see if I can exchange it for a new one and the blonde lady that was working there, not sure if she's the owner or whatever but stared at me as if I was just talking out of my ass, then walked over to the seasonings just to then talk to me like I was stupid and acted like I didn't know what i was talking about or I was lying about it being opened and then tried to convince me that all of the seasonings Are like that. She also said that the lid most likely tore the seal off itself, which that has never happened to me before but either way, the seasoning was hard, and there was no telling how long it had been open on the shelf. Some of them did stick closer to the top, but once you shook it, it all easily broke apart, the one I have is almost completely solid from top to bottom. EITHER WAY, I would've loved a seasoning that was completely sealed when I open it. Instead of just exchanging the $12 seasoning after spending almost $200 there just a couple days before, she gave me a really hard time about it and was super rude and basically told me none of the other seasonings were any better like a "too bad, so sad" attitude. I just said OK and she just walked right back to the front without saying another word to me. Her facial expressions and the way she quickly dismissed me was just so uninviting and disrespectful and me and my toddler just walked out. We won't be going back there. I'll find a new place to get our meat.

DELICIOUS! I actually heard about this place from a Reddit post about places to stop on a road trip…read moreacross Texas and I'm so glad I listened! It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! We also snagged some items to take home with us from their coolers and I can 100% recommend their pork tamales and summer sausage. If you get the chance to stop here, you won't regret it at all! Delicious, great service, and good portions!

Since I wasn't heard sincerely over the phone, I am forced to leave a review here…read more As a holiday hunter - hunting once or twice a year - I rely on the expertise of skilled game processors. I don't know what I am doing with game processing, as the business associate clearly pointed out to me over the phone. I left a deer for processing and was given a form that quoted me $85 for the meat. My family member picked up my deer after being notified that it was ready. Upon pickup, my family member was told that the total charge was $153, nearly twice as much. On the form I was given, no other fees or prices were written or highlighted. Again, the only price noted was $85. I immediately called to inquire, and was told that the additional fees included processing for other types of meat like sausage. I had NO issue paying the additional amount, to which I stated that I understood that the higher price was the true and accurate price. I attempted to explain that this should be conveyed to future customers upon drop-off so they aren't caught off guard upon pickup, but was cut off and told that "any person who has processed deer should know that it costs more than $85." Once again, I am NOT familiar with the process, which is why I relied on Cox Processing for this service. I was in no way attempting to scam or haggle a price down. Again, I had no issue paying the true cost of $153. However, as someone with two business degrees, I was simply trying to offer a piece of advice so future customers wouldn't be caught off guard like I was today. I want to highlight that the product I received is good quality. I've had more than one deer processed at this facility. Going forward though, I will not be returning to Cox Processing given the severe lack of customer service and communication skills.
