When i called, Joey answered and was very helpful and professional. Immediately i felt comfortable before even arriving. When i got there i showed him the tattoo i wanted to get covered up and right away he found one that i liked and printed the stencil and got started drawing. It came out amazing. The atmosphere is the best shop ive ever been too. We chopped it up the whole time and Joey is a real good dude and an AMAZING artist. Takes his time but also gets things done in a reasonable amount of time. I will DEFINITELY be back for more work on both arms. Give my guy a call you will not regret it! Thanks joey! Went in for the Friday the 13th piercing deal and had a terrible experience. I asked for a vertical…read morelabret and the piercer didn't even clean my lip or remove my makeup before piercing. When she marked the placement I told her TWICE that it looked crooked and she kept saying "no you're perfect." Well... it came out extremely crooked just like I said it would. She also gave me a ridiculously long bar. I understand leaving room for swelling, but this bar was so long it literally looked like an eyebrow piercing sticking out of my lip. The aftercare advice was also completely wrong. She told me to clean it with water and Dial soap instead of saline or saltwater, which is standard piercing aftercare. She pierced my friend's nose too and gave him a bar that was too short with no room for swelling. He even asked if she had a longer bar and she said no and pierced him anyway. I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first, but I went to another piercer for a second opinion and they confirmed everything: the placement is crooked, the jewelry is wrong, and the aftercare advice was bad. She was nice, but the service and piercing quality were terrible. I would not recommend getting pierced here.

Ink was available for We Crossers of the International Date Line/Zulu Meridian. I passed, having already been punctured by enough vaccinations to protect me almost anywhere. I did not get my hair cut here, nor was I pierced. I appreciate Manny's as an art and community space. I participate in Protectors of the Salt River, a South Phoenix Centered gathering of people mobilizing Sunday mornings to remove the Yellow Stinknet invasive weed from, for now, the Audubon Center acreage south of the Salt River on Central Ave. After our morning weed pull, we gather again to a morning meal served by a local micro biz. It is a great social time, starting in the green weed areas, continuing through the meal. We gathered at Manny's, November 9, 2025. The building and grounds crlebrate murals and South Phoenix muralists. The parking lot had a large exhibition of 4x8 panels showing artist works. Manny's is spacious. Inside, a waiting area with a table, sofas, pool table etc. Select art is displayed on the walls. I hear this is a primero gathering spot for valley low rider events, with the body and suspension art plus low rider imagery. The light rail is bringing new energy to South Phoenix. Manny's is part of that. The people living here up to six, or more, generations are expressing themselves in new, creative ways. Learn and grow.

I like that Manny doesn't have any tattoos! lol but respects the art & some good ethics (don't ask him to tattoo your 14-year old kid, yo!) They have a new location which just seems like a cool chill spot - spacious & clean! There's an ATM onsite, waiting room, pool table, and plenty of parking. Call ahead and make an appointment. I'll be back when I want some more ink therapy. :)
