My family and I have been loyal customers of Fossil Creek Liquor for years, but after our recent…read moreexperiences, we will no longer be returning. The store recently added a sign stating IDs are required to enter. The first time I came alone and tried to show my ID, I was told it wasn't needed -- that the sign was only due to groups of teenagers entering the store. However, the next time my husband, his sister, and a friend went, my sister-in-law was refused entry because she did not have her ID. I have shopped at many liquor stores, including Total Wine, with family members of various ages and this has never been a problem -- being in the store is not the same as purchasing alcohol. After returning with my sister-in-law and cousin, we were allowed inside but were met with rude comments about needing ID to make a purchase. During that same visit, multiple other customers entered the store without being stopped or reminded of the policy. It was hard not to feel singled out, and the overall tone from the staff was dismissive and condescending. Policies should be applied consistently and respectfully. Unfortunately, this experience felt discriminatory and unwelcoming. With other options nearby, such as Liquorland down the street, we would much rather support a business that treats customers with fairness and respect.

Tho others like Buffalo Trace, which is sought after but not allocated, they are $10 more than MSRP, and $6 more than Liqour Depot sales it for. MSRP is $24.99, and that can be had at Costco when it's in stock. It's a lake town liquor store, so whiskeys aren't the biggest offering here, wines and beers seem to be the bigger ticket items.
