I've heard so much about the barbecue in the south that it was hard to think about not going there, we had to go. It did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly. They helped us make good decisions, as I would've over ordered. There was so much on the menu that looked appetizing. As usual, my wife and I shared our entrées and we could not find a problem with anything. We ultimately a sample plate of different barbecue meats. As you suspected, I ate more than she did. We did have apple fritters for dessert and they came out a little bit different than I suspected they would. An apple fritter that I'm familiar with is served like a large donut, these were donut holes. Tasty little bites that they custom-made for our order. The ambience is comfortable, but don't go expecting linens and glasses and a sit down experience, you order and they bring the tray of food to you when it's ready and life is good at that point. It is what it is and it's not bad. Next time I'm in this small town. I would not hesitate to go to this barbecue and have some authentic southern cooking.
