Their cute little restaurant is across from the post office. I wanted a sandwich to go and they had $13 lunch specials that included a selection of sandwiches, a side and drink. I selected the brisket sandwich with spicy bbq sauce, cole slaw and I grabbed a unsweetened ice tea. The clerk was friendly and I had a short wait. The dining room is neat and tidy with old photos of Martinsville and subtle pig decor. Outside is a really nice covered patio where pets are welcome. My food came out quickly in a paper bag with my name on it. The BBQ brisket was phenomenal. The sandwich had several generous slices of thick brisket with slightly burnt ends, but moist and tender inside. The meat melted into the bun, which was soft and fresh. This was the best bbq sandwich I'd had in a long time. The spicy sauce, came on the side, was really delicious, too. The cole slaw is prepared in-house, finely chopped with a sweet vinegar dressing. It was crunchy and good, and a I've portion. Easy 5 star lunch. Free street parking. I'd stop by every time I'd mail a letter if I lived here. And I'd mail a lot of letters.

The owner is gregarious, welcoming, friendly, engaging and attentive. The menu offers a mix of bbq pork, brisket, chicken in various forms, salads and homemade deserts. Our food came out quickly. The owner checked on us. The cole slaw is phenomenal - creamy, thick with lots of flavor and not too sweet. The owner's wife makes the cole slaw. Maybe best I've had. I ordered the pork tips because I didn't want bread. The tips are flavorful but you have to be willing to eat around the fat and bones. I loved the tips with the North Carolina mustard sauce. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich. There was a lot of meat on the sandwich and the roll was fresh. The bbq sauces are phenomenal. My husband loved the spicy hot sauce. The restaurant is decorated in western bbq theme. The tables are clean and stocked with sauces and paper towels. There are also a couple picnic tables outside if you want to eat with your dog. Friendly Staff, a nice rustic wood interior, clean restaurant with friendly Servers. We've had most of the menu over our many visits including breakfast and few times. Their brisket, burgers, pulled pork, pulled chicken and sausages are very good. Their brisket always has a flavorful smoke ring and bark. Their jalapeño corn bread and corn bites are our favorites along with their whisky glazed carrots. Smok'n Crew has never let us down.

As we were ordering we we asked if we had any questions or if we wanted to try any sauce. We made our order to go, smokehouse club pulled pork, and the brisket Mac-n-cheese. After we ordered we were asked if we needed anything, we were told we were fourth on the order board and it was ok to sit somewhere while we waited. The food is yummy, yummy. I love the club it's a salad with pulled pork, something love. Richelle said she yummy loved the brisket Mac-n-cheese.
