My friend and I were craving something cold and sweet while we were strolling through Kaahumanu Center. We randomly came across Double Dipz. Double Dipz had a variety of ice cream flavors, shakes, and shave ice. There are also jars of different candy toppings to add to your treat! I decided on shave ice, which I thought was going to be just syrup and no toppings. I got a surprise when I scooped a bunch of toppings into my mouth. I didn't mind the ice cream, but I did have to eat around the mochi balls. The ice texture was average, not as fine as I would have preferred. If I visit this place again, I think I'll try the soft serve ice cream.

We ordered the Vietnamese coffee, but got just got lots of condensed milk, plenty of ice, & 1 serving of cafe du monde to make these 2 drinks. Suggestion: Maybe brew another serving of the coffee roast for the second drink, instead of just adding water. The coffee was clear. Got zero coffee taste. Maybe just a bad day? Will try again next time! Hopefully it will be better & come through with the viet coffee as listed in their menu!

It was our first time coming here. The desserts are not out of the ordinary but what stood out to our experience was the poor customer service. The guy working there seemed kinda frustrated at his job and came out kinda snappy. Also I noticed he was using one glove but used both hands to handle the bananas, while also touching his face lol. Iced coffee is mediocre. It's filled to the brim with ice and tastes like cheap instant coffee... because it is instant coffee. The plastic straw came in a plastic wrapper which made me regret not bringing my own straw. For $6.20 you're better off going to starbucks downstairs and getting an actual shot of espresso. Their ice cream looks good though!

They give a big scoops of ice cream and that's a plus. I never have to wait that long when we visited, the taste is good although it's a bit too pricey I guess you can say it's worthed.

This place is located in the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center on the 2nd floor. I was shocked to find another ice cream place at this exact location. I believe it was once upon a time Dippin Dots, Ben & Jerry's and a tea place. I guess because of its "prime" location across the way from Fun Factory and Games top, next to the movie theaters and apart from the food court. The lady was super cool. She asked my son what he wanted,unlike some places, ask the parents instead. She was patient with him while he decides on which of their flavors he wanted. Finally when he did make up his mind, and as we watch her scoop ice cream, we were trippin cause it was a generous single scoop. Prices are the same as most ice cream shops. But portion is better here.

On this Labor Day Holiday, I wanted to treat the kids and myself to something cool and sweet. This shop, which we have walked by for a long time, seemed like just the place to meet our needs. We got there just after they opened for the day and there was no line. We ordered the Korean shave ice and the Halo halo. Both were so good and big enough to share. The place itself is small, but really cutely decorated and service was friendly. There are so many yummy sounding options that we really want to try. We will return probably the next time we're in the mall. read more

Quality/Quantity - Excellent. Amazingly, I was the only one that wanted a snack, but because I was taking pictures, my family almost finished my ice cream. Why can't they get their own...? Serves me right to let others hold my ice cream while I Yelp! Just noticed that you have patbingsu, Korean shaved ice with mochi, azuki bean, and fruit toppings; I will try this on my next visit. Wait - there are even more exotic choices! I saw the Halo Halo but that is too filling for a snack especially since we planned to have a very nice dinner. I will be back soon - with an updated Yelp or additional pictures. Atmosphere - Small local owned business. Service - Great, friendly and funny! My friend and I were craving something cold and sweet while we were strolling through Kaahumanu Center. We randomly came across Double Dipz. Double Dipz had a variety of ice cream flavors, shakes, and shave ice. There are also jars of different candy toppings to add to your treat! I decided on shave ice, which I thought was going to be just syrup and no toppings. I got a surprise when I scooped a bunch of toppings into my mouth. I didn't mind the ice cream, but I did have to eat around the mochi balls. The ice texture was average, not as fine as I would have preferred. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee, but got just got lots of condensed milk, plenty of ice, & 1 serving of cafe du monde to make these 2 drinks. When I think about getting a milkshake and I'm in the Wailuku Kahului area there is only one option, Double Dipz. Service is fantastic providing many options and being receptive to my inane questions, "is this ice cream keto friendly?" "How do they treat the cows at the Rose Lani dairy?" "Will this cure my glockoma?" "How does this pair with a mango Juul pod?" The ice cream cakes are the perfect addition to any function. Unless of course you're hoping for leftovers. My intern 100% took the leftovers when no one was looking. 10/10 would return. read more

I love the cleanliness and cute ambiance of this shop. My boyfriend got the shaved ice and I loved all the toppings that came with it! I got the banana macadamia but ice cream and it was so delicious! We should have saved room for the mangonada and halo halo. I guess we will have to come back for that. We forgot to take pictures of our desserts because we did not want it to melt ): so yummy!! read more

Owner changed and the Korean Shaved ice is a poor imitation of the real thing. Owner was super nice though, but I only really came for the patbingsu... tastes okay, but it really shouldn't be advertised as Korean Shaved Ice, it was more local style. More than anything the ice cream is still great, and when she spoke to me she mentioned that she's still learning since she just took over, so hopefully all goes well in that sense! read more

We stopped in during one of the cruise stops. We didn't get a chance to get some in Oahu. We expected not to have a great experience with the shave ice in Maui because everyone recommended places in Oahu. Boy were we pleasantly surprised!! I had the coconut flavored shave ice and it was AMAZING!! It was so good I ate it and forgot to take a picture. They were generous with the condensed milk. The large portion can be shared with 2-3 people. I highly recommend it. read more

Double Dipz is okay, we had it on our vacation once. It was recommended to us through Yelp. Nothing special about this place though, just generic ice cream. Our ice cream back at home is a lot better. Would only really reccommend if you are desperately trying to find an ice cream spot close by. read more

A small selection of flavors, but they are interesting, as they are influenced by Hawaii's multiple cultures. There are also breakfast treats, milkshakes, and ice cream cakes. It is not your average ice cream shop. Service was friendly. Their portions are generous, for the price, and there is nothing like cold, sweet ice cream on a hot Maui day. Sorry, frozen yogurt, it's the truth. You won't find pistachio or bubble gum ice cream here, but you will enjoy their Macadamia Nut Crunch with toffee bits or one of their other flavors, or their Korean desserts. Yum. I hope they stay around. read more

Finally, another ice cream place at the mall! It is on the second floor right by the movie theatre where Ben and jerrys used to be. I already knew i would like this particular ice cream shop because they have roselani ice cream. That brand is one of my many favorites! Gourmet ice cream made in Hawaii. The owner, Francis, was really generous with his scoops and offered us extra toppings at no charge! How nice is that! I had the cookie sandwich and that thing is a monster but yes, I did finish the whole thing! No place to sit down in the shop but there are benches outside somewhere. read more

My only favorite bakery shop on the island. All their pastries are excellent! Their icecreams are actually finger lickin' good! Seriously can't get enough of it...Very cozy environment to hang out and perfect place to try out gourmet bakery. The stuffs are really nice, they would never hesitate to let you try the flavors of the icecreams. Definitely worth of trying! read more

I visited this place on my vacation. Compare to other icecream places i been to their scoops are huge. Their icecreams made in maui which i liked about this place. Also another thing they had this cool painted board. Lady was working there was so patient and let my try almost all the flavors and my favourite was kona mud pie. I would definitely come back. My husband and I are visiting Hawaii for our anniversary. Up until this our visit to this establishment our experience was great!! I wanted to try something a little different so I tried Patbingsu, which is a Korean dessert. It was too busy for my taste. Anyway...I usually don't write reviews, but I thought I should. I gave the cashier money in her hand, but when it was time to receive my change she put it on the counter and pushed it to me ALTHOUGH my hand was out to receive it. Oh wait! I forgot to mention I'm African American, so I definitely took offense to it because as African Americans there are occasions when other cultures tend to be slick with certain things toward us. Usually, I'll say something but I decided this is our vacation and I'll keep it classy. So l just decided to share my experience and maybe others can pay attention to this type of treatment or try a different establishment all together. read more

Double Dipz! Roselani ice cream. So many flavors! My favorite Kona Mud Pie. You can build your own shake by choosing your flavor of ice cream and Yumi will add their special ingredients to it. We're here visiting from the mainland and were craving ice cream. The owner allowed the kids to try as many flavors as they wanted. All 12 of us were very happy our selections. The ice cream was delicious and very flavorful, not too sweet but just enough. Some of us got shakes and those were blended to perfection. Great choice to come get a scoop of ice cream with the family! read more

I was pretty bummed that we didn't get to the banana bread place before they closed, but on our way back to Waleia, I was looking up some spots to get a snack. This place popped up and I remembered it from my research so I figured we'd just go. It was on the way. We got ube, green tea, and lychee with a snow cap and mochi. Omg! It was wayyyyyyyy better than just a regular ole snowcone. It's so much creamier and the additional texture of mochi made it even better. Idk if it was because we just got back from hiking but it was so refreshing! I deffinitly recommend The only downfall of the location is that there was only one table and it was full when we were there so we had to walk down a bit to find another bench to sit at.

The Mini Plate comes with 2 hamburger patties so guessing a Regular Plate is 3-4 patties. Make sure you treat yourself to a delicious Sweet Crepe! My favorite is the Banana and we always add Nutella. The reason we visit here is for their mochi. The mochi is some of the best I've ever had, and I have been to Japan to try theirs. The flavors are chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and azuki bean (red bean). I'm not a peanut butter fan nor chocolate, so I just ate the red bean mochi. The mochi is so soft and the red bean filling is not too sweet and filled with a good amount of it. Since it is a family business, the hours are fluctuate constantly. Lots of selections of ice cream cakes and various sizes are available. I am a return customer since they were opened almost 2 years ago. I order all my ice cream cakes from them, so far so good! FYI, I stay in Haiku and Lahaina and had no problem bringing ice cream cake in good condition. They didn't melt! I didn't have the cooler or anything, it was still perfect! Ordered a strawberry ice cream cake for my son's birthday. Was so very very yummy. Not heavy at all. Cake was nice and fluffy (especially considering it was frozen!) and they used Roselani ice cream.
