This RV park was just perfect for the night. KOA Park now. Great service, very clean. The thing that bugged me is the dog park. So many people walking their dogs thru campsites and letting them do their business at the sites. That was soooo annoying. And what is with the old couple that have 8 small Collies? 8 dogs in an RV? Sooooo wrong. Ewe. There used to be a steakhouse in the building there, but it's now just a bar and pool hall. We have stayed here before and so glad they had a spot for us. read more

We are KOA members and this was by far the worst experience we've had at any KOA campground . We booked two nights one on the way to yellowstone and one night on the way home. Very close to the freeway so you hear a lot of road noise , also was hearing noise from incoming train behind the campground around 2-3 in the morning. Staff wasn't particularly friendly and when we checked in after hours they didn't have our reservation paperwork ready and it took 10 minutes of wandering around to find staff who could tell us how to find our site. Bar/ Restaurant area smelled like an ashtray, lots of locals hanging at the bar chain smoking..... made it easy to pass for us. Our site was at the very end nearest to the river and it was just some gravel to park on, no picnic table, no fire pit , no trees or grassy area....... to be fair we reserved the cheapest available site but we did not realize what we were reserving. We were so unimpressed we decided to eat the 70$ campground fee and stay in a hotel on the way home. Several hotels in the 80-100$ range so if we ever pass through again we'll pay the extra 20-30$ and stay in a hotel. One and done for us !! read more

Double Dice is a KOA park now, however, it has a long way to go to meet the KOA standards. Journey did all she could when we checked in, however, between her having to cook all the food in the kitchen and trying to serve RV customers, it's easy to see the park needs more help. The long-term residents have their vehicles out too far, making it difficult to access the spots. They also need to level the spots better - no amount of blocks could get our RV level. Park also needs to pay attention to weed control - seemed somewhat unkempt. "ADA" shower stalls aren't fully ADA compliant, so keep that in mind if you need ADA accommodations. Manager could not change payment method - she stated that she did not know how to change it in the complicated KOA system. Perhaps KOA management needs to spend more time here to bring things up to KOA standards. read more

Two sites left, and we got one because our rig is short. We wanted electricity for air conditioning. I had forgotten my 30A power cord, but did have my 15A extension cord. But when I plugged in, the GFCI outlet immediately tripped on every attempt. I went back to the desk to report the problem. Esther said that no one uses the 20A service, so it was not guaranteed to work. It was only for "boom boxes." I pointed out that my site was advertised as 50/30/20A service. She said that I should use the 50A or 30A outlets. I explained that I didn't have those plugs. When she repeated that the 20A service was not guaranteed, I asked if I could then get a refund (after parking for 30 minutes in the site). She said she would refund half, but the other half would depend on her talking to her manager, who was not there. Mind you, if we left, I was pretty sure that they would easily re-rent the site due to the holiday week demand. So, deciding half a loaf was better than none, I asked for the half refund. Then Esther said there would be no refund. I could use the site without electricity, or I could leave without a refund. That's my 1-star customer service review. I went to Gateway RV Center [https://www.yelp.com/biz/gateway-rv-center-elko/] and got a 30A to 15A adapter and stayed the night. Won't be back. read more

Well, campers, be very careful because there's a random man that will help you guide you into a slot and he doesn't work there. So if anything goes wrong he disappears and they claim they have no man that works there. I end up hitting another camper. That I told him was too close and he's guiding me in and when I hit him he disappears. The lady at the front office says no man works there. I asked her if I could talk to the owner. She said the first time she would give him the message. Well, no one called so I called back. She was totally rude and she said no man works here. So campers. Be careful of a random person helping you because if anything happens. Stayed here years ago I think the park has had some upgrades since the last time we stayed here. Spurs are gravel and plenty long enough most are very level. Each site has a shade tree ( not fully grown yet but large enough to give some shade) a bbq stand and picnic table with a patch of grass. Horse shoe pits are in front of the sports bar and grill. Sports bar seemed to be pretty popular judging by the number of people in it. read more

My husband and I were here for lunch Yesterday. We had always thought it was just a bar... not a restaurant too... let me tell you... I am very upset that I have been in elko my WHOLE life and bot known about this. There is a sign as you pull in that says something about their burgers being the best in Elko... all I thought was "Well their isn't much competition, but let's see what's up." Let me tell you... the sign was not Lying. That hamburger was the best Hamburger I have had in town, and competing for the best one I've ever had... it was very tasty and juicy. The fries were also amazing, and the best in town as well. The price was MORE than fair, and the staff was outstanding; we got our food VERY quickly and it was almost to hot to eat when it arrived, not sure I've ever had that with a burger and fries. If you're in Elko, Nevada and need a place to RV camp for the night - the Double Dice is good. Spaces a pretty level, full hook ups and there is a Bar & Grill on site. They had showers (we didn't use them - have our own) We have a 30 foot (C) and paid $45 - we looked a a few other RV campgrounds and thought this was the best choice. I was in Elko visiting some very close friends. We decided to stop and check out the bar on our way back from a Rodeo in Spring Creek. It is a big space with a lot of tables, we got in right before they closed. Drink prices are amazing compared to what we pay in So Cal, safe was friendly. Will definitely be back next time we are in town. If you are in town for super bowl it is a great place to watch the games, they had free raffles(my friends own a smoker), 10.00 all you can eat food options. read more

We've stayed in RV parks across the US. This park was Very clean and well maintained. . Every site had a lawn, picnic table and fire pit with spacious parking. The price per night was well worth it and reasonable. Beautiful view, close to town, helpful staff and above else was quiet. I can't wait to come back and stay longer. read more

In our case, they charged us for damage that we did not incur, charging our credit card for $1100 for a dent in an electrical box that was there when we arrived. Just off the Highway and not too much noise. We had just come from Twin Falls 93 so if you show them the receipt you can get and additional $3.00 discount as well. We ate in the Sports Bar, fish an chips and chicken tenders. They have a smoking and none smoking area. Friendly atmosphere. The site itself was easy to pull into. Nice picnic table on grassy area with a Bar-b-que. Over-all a nice place to stay. There is a Albertsons just down the road. We have stayed here several times and will return. read more

Very nice park with a bar and grill on site with good food and games. Close to some great outdoor recreation options and it's in such a beautiful area. Pretty easy in and out, level gravel sites. We had an end site so we had our own little grassy area, but it was on the side opposite the door which is a little weird and pets aren't allowed on any grass. This is the only reason for the 3 star review. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and we enjoyed our stay in the park but any pet area is pretty much nonexistent. The dedicated dog area is a tiny strip of trees at the edge of the park with only gravel and shrubs, no grass and no room to run and play. We were only staying as a stop over on a long trip so it's really not a big deal for us because the rest of the park is great but it's something to consider if you have an active dog. read more

We arrived about 3:30pm without a reservation driving a 43ft motorhome and towing a full size pickup. We were given a pull through site that was level enough to not require jacks for leveling and long enough that we did not have to unhook. There is a bar/grill on site, a limited menu but good food and friendly staff. No, it's not a fancy resort but despite what other reviewers said the wifi works fine (I'm using park wifi to post this review), the park is easily accessible from I80 and for an overnight stopover it does the job. read more

This used to be a nice place. Now it's 99% semi permanent residents. Overnighters are jammed in to terrible hillside spots. You don't have enough blocks to get level here. You are also charged maximum rates with no amenities at all. Dirty token fed showers round out your stay. What a shame, another nice little park goes down the drain. read more

Have no idea why there are so many negative posts on here. This was a great overnight place to stop on our way East on 80. Easy access hookups and easy pull throughs. Guess if you wanted an RV resort, go down the street, but the people here were friendly and rates not so bad and easy freeway on and off. See you next time! read more

We were not planning to stop in Elko. The generator on the RV we had rented failed requiring we stop somewhere with full hook up. I called another RV park and was on hold for over five minutes. Decided to hang up and call Double Dice RV park and am I glad I did! Shawna was our 'angel' twice. She was so cheerful, pleasant and helpful, we were set up in a matter of minutes. I did call close to them closing. When we arrived we found our space written on the board and were good to go. Unexpectedly, for other mechanical reasons, we were not able to cook dinner that night. We went into the Bar/Restaurant to get the famous burgers we had read about. Shawna sadly informed us they closed at 7pm, it was 7:45pm. She then said the fryer was still hot and did we like shrimp. She proceeded to sell us a fried food feast that we loved! I can't wait to return and try the burgers next time! This was our last stop on our way home from Moab, UT. Our vacation had been less then expected due to mechanical issues. Shawna was a very bright spot on our vacation. The RV park was nice, clean and quite. read more

We stayed in mid September, 2016, amid construction on the sites. They are taking out every other RV space and enlarging the remaining spots. You now have a clean table, brand new Bar-B-Q on a spacious lawn with some fencing. Plenty of space to put chairs and your own table under awnings, plus have grass next to you. The RV park is next to a bar and yummy restaurant. That's good and not good; lots of lights and traffic, but one can walk a few feet to one of the best dinners ever! The owners (I assume they were the owners because they worked so hard) were friendly, went out of their way to be helpful and were just nice. Let me tell you about dinner! One can order a 29 oz Ribeye Steak, covered with mushrooms, served with baked potato, salad and fresh vegetable (asparagus the night we were there.) Every item was perfectly prepared and tasted wonderful. Hubby had the ribs and fries and he was happy with his choice. It took me almost a week to finish left overs, but dinner was still great after repeats! We traveled with pets and were satisfied with the places to walk the animals. Also, laundry facilities are spacious and well maintained. Highly recommend this park! read more

Went to check out, the lady was rude. I will not be staying here ever again. I asked for a pro-rate refund since I paid for a month but I was leaving early, she acted like I owed HER money. What kind of operation treats customers who have spent thousands in rent (@$475 month for a small crammed lot) like that and expect them to ever show up again? One reason I left is the damn drunks leaving the bar, and the 24hr service workers peeling out in the rock parking lot throwing rocks all over my car and trailer at 2 in the morning. Very easy to find off I-80, the front desk attendant was very friendly and it was quick and easy to get checked in, all the sites are pull through's and include Wifi and cable for just $38/night. They also give a discount if you have are a member of AAA or Good Sam. I tried the cheeseburger and fries for dinner, it was very good and they also give you 10% off if you're staying at the park. I will definitely be back when I travel through Elko! read more

Beware, this place is not kid or pet friendly. It says online that they are pet friendly, but I can assure you they are not. My husband works in Elko and stays here during his rotation of days on. When the kids get out of school we come up for one week once a year and bring the dog. We got a notice stating "Double Dice RV Park does not allow dogs in any monthly spaces visiting dogs are also not allowed. The dog will need to be removed from the property within 24 hours to avoid getting a 5 day eviction notice." We have a 10lb dog that is kennel trained and does not even bark. We take her across the street off the property to go #2. Also, you probably shouldn't bring kids as they may make noise if they play. Also, be prepared to pay $25 more in rent per month unless you pay with cash. The campers are so close together you would probably get a noise complaint for passing gas too loudly. My husband called and was told not to worry about it since we are leaving in a couple of days anyway. They didn't realize it was him and he's a good customer they don't want to lose. I guess not since he's paid his rent up for the next 2 months and has been parked here for over a year. We are seriously considering just paying for a hotel. I will definitely be looking for another park for husband to move his camper to. read more
