We wanted to avoid the usual, high fee, management companies that still use fax machines and finally got a referral to check out Mountain Management of Breckenridge. And I'm glad we did! We booked a last minute condo managed by this company the day before our arrival date. After…read morebooking we received an email telling us that there was a payment issue. I re-entered my card info 2 different times and kept having issues. The morning of our arrival, I received an email saying that if I don't enter payment information, my reservation will be cancelled. I entered in a new card and called to try and sort it over the phone. No answer. Left a voicemail, and hoped that the new card information worked. Shortly after I received a cancellation email. Again, I called - No answer again. So I left another voicemail. I was able to get a hold of a person via the sales office number, who was finally able to get someone to call me back. They told me that the room was already rebooked because there is a wait list (mind you, I booked the room the night before our stay) and that there was absolutely nothing they could do, leaving us to find a place on our own. The lack of communication and they way they communicated the issue was completely unprofessional. For someone looking to have your property manage here, I can only assume that the other services they provide are equally as unprofessional. I'd want the piece of mind that the company managing my guests are treating them with the utmost importance. Next time, I'll be sure to avoid any property managed by this company.

We contracted with Proper Work to build a two-story addition to our home in last year. This was a…read moremajor, 8-month project, beginning in April and ending in December 2022. Engaging Joey Edwards and his company, Proper Work, to build our addition was probably the best real estate decision we have ever made. Joey Edwards and his crew were innovative, superbly coordinated, and very conscious of staying within our original estimate. Joey assisted and advised us with every detail along the way and executed some ideas that we hadn't thought of in the beginning, like our patio and French doors. The project included a new woodstove, hardwood flooring, a finished basement, and painting. Joey put us in touch with our excellent woodstove company--a great recommendation. (I have reviewed this company, Safe and Warm, elsewhere on Yelp.) Joey also helped with the labyrinth of city codes and inspections. I think we had a total of 12 (?) inspections; maybe more. Our home is a 140-year-old miner's cottage in a historic district, so we also needed to comply with historic preservation regulations and remain respectful of its historical character. Joey and his crew were in our home for 8 months, but all went smoothly. Our dogs and cats even came to look forward having the crew here and they were all great with the animals. The stairwell rail had to be low enough to prevent cats explorating through the railing and the crew took that into consideration. The cats figured a way around it, but no fault of Proper Work--that is just the nature of cats. Our addition has increased the value and comfort of our home exponentially. We had to make the decision to expand our home or move elsewhere, and we clearly made the right decision, with the help of Proper Work.

At first glance this seems like a reasonable place. I like to give locals business when possible…read more After my roof was replaced I had several leaks due to their craftsmanship. Which they came out and repaired. I had another leak and figured it was this again. Had them come out. Found out the leak was with my chimney. No big deal. Except they will charge you 600$ for an hour of a guy standing on your roof running your hose onto your leak. They won't tell you it's 600$. Then Harley the front desk person will berate you and call you names and say things like "I wish I didn't have to pay my bills". Since I've had more leaks in my brand new roof in other spots. I won't dare call them again because I'll just get charged 600$ each time. I wouldn't even call them if the entire roof fell off and blew away. Avoid at all costs.
