It is with regret that I feel the need to write this review for Summit Contractor & Handyman, LLC,…read morebut I believe it's important to share our experience so others can make an informed decision. When we first met Javier and Astrid, they seemed like kind, trustworthy people. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not reflect that first impression. I was also surprised to learn that, despite the company's name, they do not hold a contractor's license--only a business license. Javier painted our condo, but the workmanship was extremely poor. He painted over hardware. There was paint on the floors and furniture, and the job was left incomplete with numerous areas still requiring touch-ups. When we asked for the paint color so we could finish the work ourselves, he refused to provide it. Based on what we observed afterward, we came to believe that only primer had been applied rather than the Navajo White paint we had specifically requested. Ultimately two full days were spent cleaning up the mess. Our realtor, who has seen many homes over the years, commented that it was some of the poorest workmanship she had encountered. We were also charged for a new ceiling fan, but a used fan was installed instead. In addition, a chandelier was installed in the kitchen where a standard ceiling light fixture would have been more appropriate. These issues resulted in significant additional time, expense, and frustration. Looking back, I would have gladly paid more to hire an experienced professional who takes pride in their work. Based on our experience, the quality of the workmanship did not justify the amount we paid, and unfortunately I cannot recommend Summit Contractor & Handyman, LLC.

Right out of the gate I found flooring to be strangely overwhelming and really needed some help. I wasnt getting the help I needed at Lowe's or from online sources so I figured what the hell I'll shop local and give All Flooring Design a call --- this was a good descision. Karen, who I'm assuming is the manager?, was awesome!!! She did not treat my tiny remodel as a waste of time which I really appreciated it. She showed me options in my budget and printed out installation instructions for all of them! After about a week of talking with them and researching to the ends of the internet, I had to choose a product from Lowes strictly because of weight. My small project is a camper and keeping the dry weight down is a top priority. I felt compelled to write this review though because the service was so good.

Upstairs carpet came in but garage access carpet did not. They didn't tell that until two weeks before the planned upstairs installation date. They could not give us an estimated date for receiving the garage carpet. They came out and installed the upstairs carpet and that went well. The came out a month later and installed the garage access carpet and then charged us extra money for the installation because we didn't have both areas installed at the same time. It was not our fault the manufacturers couldn't provide the carpet in time to install both areas at the same time. Terrible service.

We recently had a wonderful experience with Greg and Blue River Contracting. We hired BRC to…read morecompletely remodel our master bathroom. We could not be happier with our decision. Greg (the company owner) is responsive, professional, and experienced. Greg has great vision and helped guide us through the whole process. He answers his phone, responds to text messages, and communicates clearly. We felt comfortable with having Greg in our house for three weeks and would undoubtedly do business with his company again. Greg completed our project in three weeks which we thought was reasonable for an entire master bath remodel. This included demolition down to the framing. Greg stayed within scope of the project and hired good help when needed. We really enjoyed that we did not need to direct the help (plumber, electrician, or tile guy) Greg made sure that he fully understood what we wanted and made sure it all happened. Greg was able to show us tile designs and even draw patterns on paper to ensure we would get what we wanted. Greg does very high quality work. The final product of our bathroom is absolutely stunning. I still walk in there each day and smile when I look around. His attention to detail right down to the trim is exceptional. We have already had several guests at the house and everyone is stunned when they walk in our new bathroom. Greg's standards are very high. If there was ever something that he felt needed adjustment, he would fix it. Nothing went overlooked or undone. The bottom line is that it's hard to find good contractors in Summit County that will stick to a schedule and timeline. Greg stuck to a schedule and actually tried his best to fit it around our work schedules while still getting the bathroom finished by our deadline. We will be using Greg again for more projects in the future.

I highly recommend Nick Piontek and On Point Contracting!…read more Like most people, I will look at online reviews of companies and products, while never adding my own experiences to the reviews. This time is different because even after six months since OnPoint Contracting repaired my roof, I use that experience with them as my gold standard from now on. It was that memorable. My home is in a regular Denver suburb, and in March 2024 we experienced a severe hail storm. I thought "No big deal, our roof should be fine since it's not that old." Later that year, we were having our house painted, and learned that we had serious damage. We had our roof repaired before, but I forgot who the company was. Choosing the right roofing company was tough with so many options. I am so glad my paint contractors referred me to Nick Piontek and On Point Contracting. I had a great experience working with On Point Contracting. On the day of my appointment, Nick confirmed the time earlier that day and arrived on time for our meeting. Nick demonstrated to me they value my time and established their professionalism and attention to detail. Nick also recommended and installed Owens Corning Duration Flex Class 4 impact-resistant shingles to help protect my roof from future smaller hailstorms, which I truly appreciate. They handled everything with my insurance claim, from being present for the inspection to ensuring the insurance company paid fairly for the work. I knew I had made the right choice. As the project was scheduled, I was updated frequently with clear messages and also through their online project portal. The roofing process was smooth and seamless. While there was a small hiccup with the supplier's delivery dates, Alex, their Project Manager handled it quickly and professionally. The crew on the project were expert roofing and gutter specialists supervised by the site manger Steven. They were courteous, efficient, and professional, completing the job with great care all while communicating with me of status updates and keeping the worksite clean and free of construction hazards and debris. One of my biggest concerns was protecting the plants around my home, and I was impressed with how carefully they covered and safeguarded everything during the job. They truly go the extra mile. Once I knew I had made the right decision, I referred them to two of my neighbors, and they were just as pleased with their results. Whenever something pops up around my home, I give Nick a call first. If you need a trustworthy, detail-oriented roofing and exterior company, I highly recommend Nick Piontek and On Point Contracting!" Lastly, beyond our roofing project, Nick took the time to speak with my adult daughter after learning of her interest about her career goals in the trades, offering valuable insight into entrepreneurship and business growth. That personal touch meant a lot to our family. It's worth saying again....I highly recommend Nick Piontek and On Point Contracting!"

Unfortunately, as he requested, I paid for it mostly upfront (my bad). Learning lesson. From the beginning we had issues with the painting details of the project. Mediocre job with nails left in wall, damaged portions of the wall were just painted right over instead of corrected, window sills left without paint and underneath windows there were spots not even painted at all. The work seemed robotic and rushed. There was very little communication which lead to problems because things had to be corrected after the fact and Brian's attitude was difficult to work with. He was surprised when I was upset because he left my door unlocked for two days in an apartment building with residents and short term rental guests who walk by constantly. Pride of work, attention to detail, and care and concern for the customer was barely existent. He even had me venmo his girlfriend for payment, Karen Nelson which I thought was unprofessional. He had asked me if I wanted references, but I did not take them. I wish I would have asked more questions before I hired Brian and High Roller Painting. This could be a scam because as I said, only partially finished the job and now he is unreachable. Very disappointed and I would definitely steer clear away from this company.
