This is a great place for families. It has an outdoor patio w/ games and plenty of room for them to be boisterous. We stopped by for the pizza buffet, that's around $14 each. You have access to the salad bar, and a variety of their classic and specialty pizzas. They also have a few dessert and cheesy bread options. Came in on a Saturday night for the buffet. Adults eat for $12.99 kids under 6 free. We came in around 7 pm - buffet is over at 8 pm. At first glance I was skeptical by how the buffet looked, but we were told we could order any pizza for the buffet. We ordered a total of 3 pizzas and 1 dessert pizza. The pizza comes out fresh and is good I'll admit. The areas they lost points from me was the cleanliness. The buffet is at the front by the register and a lot of times the workers are standing and talking over the pizza. We also saw them boxing Togo orders using the pizzas that had been sitting out at the buffet; even saw one of the workers using her bare hands to do this. I wouldn't order Togo from this place. If I dined in again- I would order the pizzas for the buffet so they would be made fresh. read more

My first visit felt like being transported to the 90s - uncomplicated food, walls lined with quarter prize machines and old school arcade games, live music, and patio games. This restaurant's simplicity is what makes it shine. Don't come here looking for artisan duck prosciutto broccoli pizza on heritage grain crust fermented for 72 hours. The za is like Cici's pizza if it was made with love. My family really enjoyed their pepperoni pizza, and I LOVED the Dave's Favorite on cauliflower crust. They also have rotating specialty pizzas with fun, unexpected toppings--this month's was a black bean quesadilla pizza, which sounded super creative. We didn't try it this time, but love that they keep things interesting. There's also a nice list of fun desserts, though we stuck with the Cinnamonstyx dessert pizza(and honestly, no regrets there). After stuffing our faces with carbs, we hung out for a while on the patio playing giant Connect4 and some family friendly axe throwing. I can't wait to go back for Monday trivia night or to try their buffet option. Overall, Double Dave's was a win for a casual, no-fuss family night out. This was our first time ordering DD in Missouri City, however I have stopped by during normal business hours for business purposes. It's nice to see the senior bridge club members meet here in the mornings. I have seen it during busy times and watched them attend to customers. We eat a LOT of pizza on our home and have been bored with chain store pizza. This was why we wanted to try DD. Have to say, it did not disappoint! Loved the deep dish crust, hand tossed crust and the pepperoni rolls. The ingredients taste fresh, the pizza was made to order and my family truly enjoyed the meal. Have you ever heard of Cut and Shoot Texas? What about Why Arizona? That's just a couple of questions that were asked at tonight's trivia game. I met one of Double Dave's employees last week at the restaurant next door to Double Dave's. He invited me to come out to Monday night trivia and also told me that they have a buffet every day including evening buffets on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Tonight, around 6:45, I walked into the pizzeria not knowing what to expect. The establishment was a bit on the small side so I don't think it would be ideal for too many large groups. The buffet consisted of a full salad bar and about 4-5 different pizzas to choose from. I was only here to play the game but decided to order 2 of the $2 pizza rolls with marinara sauce just to sample the food. It took about 10 minutes to get the food which wasn't bad. I dipped the roll in the sauce but didn't expect the sauce to be cold. It was also more bitter than I expected; not like a typical pizza marinara. I hate being wasteful so I thought that the 2 containers of marinara was a bit too much for just 2 small sized pizza rolls. It was now 7:00 and the game was starting. At first, I had a difficult time trying to connect to the game on my phone. So by the time I was able to connect, the trivia host was already moving on to question number 4. She did however make us aware that she would be reading the questions a little fast to speed up the game. Good thing was that, the questions remained on the screen and she gave us about 5 minutes to submit answers; so it was fair. We played 7 rounds which lasted about 1 1/2 hours. I enjoyed my time here surrounded by friendly staff and repeat customers. The employees have somewhat of a "work family" vibe. Will I be back? I was blessed with a free buffet ticket while visiting a Target nearby. I was surprised to learn that it was the owner while dining with a dear friend of mine today. The buffet choices are great. I came to try the chicken, spinach and cheese stromboli and it was absolutely delicious and made fresh. I really enjoyed myself and will definitely be returning. I originally came to Double Dave's Pizza Works for the pizza buffet, but then I found out they had deep dish pizza--now I had a tough choice to make! Buffet or deep dish?! Angelin at the register was incredibly patient, answering all my questions with a smile. She even walked me through the beer selection. Then, Madin came from the kitchen and gave me a behind-the-scenes look at the dough--how much it rises, how many people it serves--talk about top-notch customer service! When the deep dish pizza arrived, it was everything I hoped for and more! The bottom was perfectly crispy, the middle was fluffy, the toppings were fresh, and the crust was rich and buttery. My wife usually isn't a big pizza eater, but she ended up eating more than me! If I had known that, I would've ordered the Big Dave's! Madin checked in on us but gave us plenty of space to enjoy our meal, and Angelin followed up to see if we needed anything else. This is by far one of the best pizzas I have ever had! I am literally obsessed with their pizza rolls. They are very filling and the ranch or marinara dipping sauce with them is amazing. Pizza is one of my favorite foods and this restaurant was really good! The meat was fresh and tasteful, the pepperoni breadsticks was a great addition to the meal. For the wings I would recommend to get crispy. The staff was nice, timely and helpful. You can eat inside, delivery, or Togo. The restaurant is pretty generic in looks and clean to eat inside. I want to start off by saying server 328 has a horrible attitude. I walked in said hello and how it was going he replied with something about being busy . now everyone in there had been seated and paid , we were two people coming in to enjoy the great buffet they offer and it's always good here . he was very impatient as my co worker asked for a Togo cup he grabbed it with attitude and dropped the in house cups two fell I picked them up and placed them in front of register . I gave my last dollar in cash in tip jar and when I ordered I gave $3.00 tip as I'm signing he is tapping his fingers impatiently on the counter then places receipts on counter and pushes them and takes off to I struck the pizza makers . this needs to be addressed , maybe he is having a bad day . if so I'm sorry you are having to work today , hope whatever your issue is that your day goes better . We've been in several times, but are honestly going to try and make it a more regular occurrence- the food and drinks are so delicious and so reasonably priced, and the owners are local which is a huge plus for us- we love supporting locally owned businesses!
