    Small buffet area

Came in on a Saturday night for the buffet. Adults eat for $12.99 kids under 6 free. We came in around 7 pm - buffet is over at 8 pm. At first glance I was skeptical by how the buffet looked, but we were told we could order any pizza for the buffet. We ordered a total of 3 pizzas and 1 dessert pizza. The pizza comes out fresh and is good I'll admit. The areas they lost points from me was the cleanliness. The buffet is at the front by the register and a lot of times the workers are standing and talking over the pizza. We also saw them boxing Togo orders using the pizzas that had been sitting out at the buffet; even saw one of the workers using her bare hands to do this. I wouldn't order Togo from this place. If I dined in again- I would order the pizzas for the buffet so they would be made fresh.

(+) Price for AYCE buffet is $12.99 (+) Kids 6-11 $4.99, 5 and under FREE (+) They can make pizza by request (+) Workers are nice and courteous (+) Good variety of different food options (+) Arcades and machines as well as outdoor area for kids to play (-) Salad bar could be better kept/stocked This is my first time to a Double Dave's, but we enjoyed our visit there. We came in on a weeknight. Kids getting to eat at a discount/free is very enticing for young families. The AYCE hearkens me back to the old Cici's Pizza days. Nothing fancy, just a nice casual, family-friendly setting at a locally owned pizza spot. We will be back soon enough.

Decent pizza at decent prices. We ordered the 18" speciality pizza (around $30) for 4 adults and it was plenty. The dessert pizzas might be the best value of all. Only $6 for a medium sized pizza and the chocolate chip one was really good. Cute spot with live music and a pretty good looking buffet for $12.99. Arcade machines were a hit too.

This was our first time ordering DD in Missouri City, however I have stopped by during normal business hours for business purposes. It's nice to see the senior bridge club members meet here in the mornings. I have seen it during busy times and watched them attend to customers. We eat a LOT of pizza on our home and have been bored with chain store pizza. This was why we wanted to try DD. Have to say, it did not disappoint! Loved the deep dish crust, hand tossed crust and the pepperoni rolls. The ingredients taste fresh, the pizza was made to order and my family truly enjoyed the meal. I placed our order online for a later pick up within 2 hours and it was ready within about 10 minutes of the scheduled pick up time. This is a family friendly environment, friendly and well kept. We will definitely be back!

Have you ever heard of Cut and Shoot Texas? What about Why Arizona? That's just a couple of questions that were asked at tonight's trivia game. I met one of Double Dave's employees last week at the restaurant next door to Double Dave's. He invited me to come out to Monday night trivia and also told me that they have a buffet every day including evening buffets on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Tonight, around 6:45, I walked into the pizzeria not knowing what to expect. The establishment was a bit on the small side so I don't think it would be ideal for too many large groups. The buffet consisted of a full salad bar and about 4-5 different pizzas to choose from. I was only here to play the game but decided to order 2 of the $2 pizza rolls with marinara sauce just to sample the food. It took about 10 minutes to get the food which wasn't bad. I dipped the roll in the sauce but didn't expect the sauce to be cold. It was also more bitter than I expected; not like a typical pizza marinara. I hate being wasteful so I thought that the 2 containers of marinara was a bit too much for just 2 small sized pizza rolls. It was now 7:00 and the game was starting. At first, I had a difficult time trying to connect to the game on my phone. So by the time I was able to connect, the trivia host was already moving on to question number 4. She did however make us aware that she would be reading the questions a little fast to speed up the game. Good thing was that, the questions remained on the screen and she gave us about 5 minutes to submit answers; so it was fair. We played 7 rounds which lasted about 1 1/2 hours. I enjoyed my time here surrounded by friendly staff and repeat customers. The employees have somewhat of a "work family" vibe. Will I be back? I sure will AND I'm bringing my friend with me!

First the stromboli; I hadn't found a decent one for quote some time but found it here. I'm not big on onion so I sub tomatoes--fresh tomatoes are hard to beat! Well made, lots of cheese, really good. Followed up with the pizza today, their Special (with tomatoes instead of onions!). Great, crisp crust, lots of "stuff" on the pizza, large portions of toppings, excellent flavor. I've had pizza from NY to here in Texas and I'd take this one any time. Manager Poli handles things well and is easy to work with as I do my substitutions. There are (?) ten or more pizza places right here, this one has my vote!

This may have been the delivery drivers fault so I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt here. I tried to push the cheese and toppings back onto the pizza so it is eatable. If you have tried a real Chicago deep dish pizza, then this pizza will be pretty disappointing in comparison. The crust does not resemble pie or have any seasoning. It tastes like very basic crust and it was soggy within the 25 min drive over to my house. In my opinion, even dominos and Pizza Hut have better pan crust than this. The next disappointment was the sauce. I am not sure if it just went bad that day or if it always tastes almost rotten but it was a huge let down. The toppings also seemed to just be added to the top like a regular pizza instead of like a real Chicago pizza where they put the toppings in the middle mixed with the sauce and cheese and add a layer of cheese and sauce on top. Considering that they charge about $2.89 per topping (anything additional after just cheese), I thought they would at least put a good amount of toppings, but I was again left disappointed. They only put a few pieces of each veggie we added (green peppers, mushrooms and onions). They also added an exorbitant amount of cheese. I usually love eating leftover pizza the next day, but this pizza was such a disappointment that I was almost forcing myself to eat it so it doesn't go to waste. The whole pizza overall felt like a very low quality pizza with almost rotten sauce. I don't think I'll be trying their pizza again. A picture was not included because of how badly the pizza arrived at my house.
