I'm a fan of MOD and I enjoy choosing exactly what goes on my pizza. I find that this location consistently has good employees who tend to care about the customer experience. My problem with this location really lies with the management. During my most recent visit on a Sunday around 1pm, I waited approximately 45 minutes for my pizza, which included a 30+ minute wait in line to order. Mind you, I went with a group of 4 friends and no one else was ordering when we walked in. The restaurant had maybe 5 other customers when we arrived. The issue on this particular afternoon was that this location was so understaffed. There was one employee handling online orders and was making 5 pizzas at a time and cooking every single pizza, while the other employee was doing his absolute best to make doughs for the online orders and the in person orders as well as assembling all of the in person pizzas and handling the payments. I really felt like a pizza restaurant who literally calls themself "super fast" should not be so understaffed that its customers are waiting the better part of an hour to get their food. read more

I'm a teacher and I can't tell you how happy I am that Mod gave teachers buy 1 get 1 pizzas or salads for 4 WHOLE DAYS! With my teaching hours it's hard to find time to make it to the deals but with the sale being 4 days is great! We got the buy 1 get 1 pizzas for dinner and I had to scoop some salads for my lunch. The restaurant was nice and clean and the pizza makers were very nice and friendly. My son loved picking what he wanted on his side of his pizza. Pizza was good. Location needs to work on cleaning. Cobwebs visible in the windows. Guy working at the pizza oven had waist long hair that was hanging out in the back. Yesss finally they open one in Sugar Land. Easy to find and plenty of parking! The staffs are friendly (they gave me their cookie for free because I had to wait long for my float - so worth it)! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings. They have a few items you can choose from so I got the Dominic & Customize. Dominic (4/5) and the one I customize (5/5). The ingredients look and tasted fresh, and so many to choose from! Furthermore, the dough was super crispy! The garlic stick (4/5). The float (5/5) - it's simple and basic yet taste just right! Ordered for the first time as a new customer. Ordered 7:20pm, They gave us delivery time for 8:05. We didn't receive the order by 8:25pm so we Called them back and they said our order has been sitting there waiting for door dash to pick it up. When we ordered we asked if they deliver, they never mentioned door dash, answer was YES. They never said anything about delivery from a third party. When we called to check on the order The Store manager said we have to contact door dash and ask them why our order was not picked up. She said It will be delivered after 8:50pm. 1- we ordered from MOD pizza not from door dash. Why we have to chase our order as a customer? We ordered from MOD Not Door Dash! The business owner is the one who selected to work with this delivery company 2- if your delivery method is door dash, you should mention this to your customers when customer asks about delivery option 3- if you have a 50min delay on a customer's order, why don't you call and inform the customer of the delay 4- when customer calls and talk to a manager, a manager should have a solution instead of, "sorry it is not our problem" type of answer! They lost a customer before they even earned it. Manager seemed to not care at all. She even rushed us off the phone because she was so busy. I guess they are so busy or used to having upset customers and are at the point that they don't even care anymore. If I were you I would not support a business like this while you have so many options around them. Very unprofessional and Just sad. This was university blvd River stone location. We canceled and ask for our money back. We will see if they refund us in a couple days. Note: they just delivered the pizza. Least I'm glad they did that but we already ate other food. Let today be known as the day MOD failed me and my family. After having gone to the doc with my kid for several shots we had been talking about where she wanted to go after the torture. She said she wanted pizza. Mod is in our neighborhood and close by ( and used to be good) so we decided to take her to mod so she could choose her pizza and toppings. That was all ruined when a worker there rushed us through and sent her pizza off before we were even done picking toppings. I literally had to say "We were not done selecting toppings." If that wasn't bad enough, the small amount of cheese was criminal. We had to ask for a bit more several times, to the point, that the worker made us feel bad about asking for more. Ruined the whole experience not to mention it felt more like a flatbread we were eating. I'll post a pic of the rude line worker and pizza. There was one guy very nice and friendly, but the younger person totally, completely ruined it for us. For now MOD is DEAD to me. Don't understand why every online order I do, they skip out on a random topping. I asked for extra cheese and they literally gave me NO CHEESE! Look at the pic!! .Last time they barely added pep and before that, marinara sauce. Why? When I heard cauliflower crusts had made it to the menu, I was instantly interested in trying this spot. The online ordering makes things easy-peasy. I literally ordered before walking out the door and it was ready and hot when I arrived. You can add whatever toppings you like and they are not chinzy with the amounts you get. One of the very few places these days where you can can get excellent food without burning a hole your pocket. People here are always welcoming and listen to what and how you need it. They once even gave me free food when I messed up and ordered online at the wrong location. I have never dined in here, primarily because I live close by and carry out is as much same as eating here. When I tried to reach the store, they hide the number in a series of call centers to make it difficult to actually reach the store, so here we are. I Have been to this Mod pizza a few times and it is always great. The food comes out super fast and tastes great which is good when you have little ones. I always get the cauliflower crust which I love. The service here is always amazing but today they went above and beyond. My son fell asleep and stayed asleep when I took him out of the car so we laid him on the bench at our table. It was a little chilly in the restaurant so the manager/owner came over with a sweater to lay over him while he slept. It was so thoughtful. If you like individualized and customizable pizza that is less than $10 then you would like this place. They have options for personalized salads as well. this place is good hangout place for high school age and family. Expectations shouldn't be too high but you can still enjoy yourself here. (I give it a 2 star when comparing it other pizza restaurants ie NY pizza, Chicago pizza, etc and even with other fast food pizzas like dominoes where you can get a large for less than 10). It is, however, better than Ci-Ci's pizza. Location wise, this is good for the locals in the area. The decor here is clean and a little bit on the artsy side. Bathroom is pretty standard and eco friendly since there is no paper towels. Personally (everyone has their preferences so go ahead and try it- don't let my review deter you from trying and having your own opinion/experience). The flavors (the Red and white sauce) aren't too strong- they were lacking in the depth of flavor. The underside/crust was on the bitter side bc it was slightly burnt. I did like the roasted Brussel sprouts that was unique- but it made the pizza taste more bitter. I think it is better on its own or in a salad. Today was my first time at MOD, and I have to say that I really liked it. Staff is super friendly, the facilities are really clean, and the food is great and comes out fast! Compared to Blaze, I like MOD's crust more (because it tastes better in general and they don't burn it!!). Pesto drizzle is the way to go for me, and unlike Blaze, their pesto isn't as oily which is awesome! If you're sharing a pizza, they have utensils and plates out near the drinks which is very accommodating. My only critique would be that they should cut their ingredients into smaller pieces (ex. onion slices and mushrooms) so that it fits onto the pizza better and doesn't fall off when eating. Other than that, very pleased by my MOD experience! Will be back! read more
