Nothing specifically lacking as a restaurant but nothing really outstanding either. So when charged $15 for a small bowl of seaweed, $10 for a 3" long fried vegetable spring roll, and $48 for a small bowl rice with a sprinkle of steak (maybe 1-2 ounce) the enjoyment of the dining experience suffers greatly under the feeling of way overpaying. Based on other locations this meal might have been fairly priced at 50% less But it was Aspen and apparently the extreme pricing doesn't stop folks from attending. But value for quality should always be a strong guiding factor regardless of location.

Of course not, but at the end of my visit I was craving something spicy and thought that only a Thai restaurant could scratch that itch. I ordered my go to dish when trying out a Thai place (red curry) and the boyfriend ordered their version of the drunken noodles. My curry was filled with veggies and it was indeed spicy, but the rice was pretty terrible. I don't know if it was just old or if that's just how they do it, but it wasn't jasmine and tasted a bit stale. The drunken noodles were okay but again, the noodles seemed a bit off as well. Definitely wasn't terrible, but it wasn't any place I would return to personally. The staff was friendly enough to us, however.

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.
