Belleville Ale House - The owner, Pat, jammin' on the bongos with Bobby Messano! Only in Belleville!

It allows for great conversationn either with the friends you came with, Pat, or the regulars at the bar. The only times Pat brings out the TV is when the Badgers or Packers are broadcast over the air. Sweet! I've seen the reviews that the Ale House isn't open all the time. Please understand Pat's a one man shop. He's the Owner, Bartender, Buss Boy, and one hell of a chef. So I understand if he takes a night off now and then. The Ale House is open at least the regular nights, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday...so that's fine with me(he's probably open more, but I don't get out that much). As far as the food selection...the Sugar River Pizzaria will deliver, and Pat usually has Soft Pretzels, but that's it for standard food. But don't be disappointed! Pat usually has a special for the week, Brisket Tacos, Pulled Pork Nachos, or some other creation that I can't do justice. Like I side above, Pat is a great Chef, his experience and his combination of flavors is a wonderful addition to Belleville dinner scene. In addition to the food, Pat keeps a mad selection of local taps in rotation. There's always some new beer, that Pat will educate you on. With the points above, plus a shuffle board table, the occasional jam session (last Friday Bobby Messano), and a random dog, the Ale House is the place to be. WIN!

If you come alone you won't be without a friend for long. Everyone in the bar is happy to join in a conversation. The drinks are strong and cheap but the food Petey makes is SO good. One of the best bar burgers I've had, but I have to say there isn't a thing on the menu I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Always try the specials. You can't go wrong.

Place was clean.. I saw they had a homemade Chilli on a menu I found on the Web but when I got there not so much and the menu was quite small... so I had to change my way... you could assemble a burger so I picked my cheese, bacon and toppings... they must fry in peanut oil also cause I always had the flavor lingering after each bite.... Set that aside and their burger is quite good.. they didnt have fries this day and no jalapeño which is an option... for their burger .. I used Texas toast so that was a new and pretty good.... Love the small bar atmosphere... the bar tender was working hard cause seats were full at 3pm on a Sunday can't imagine how crowded this place could get... I do like this place and will stop in again cause drinks are stiff and at a great price... check it out !!

You get the sliced apples in the salads and the bottles of apple bourbon up front. The hot tea is no charge, but the iced tea is not. Both appear to be Lipton. I got an Arnold Palmer, which was quite good. They didn't mix it so it had a toquilla sunrise feel. The appetizers really stood out. The animal fries were not your squirt cheese in n out style. These were thick cut steak fries, with Wisconsin melted cheese and ground beef, topped with thousand island like aioli. The other wunder starter was the hot pretzel. Thick with kosher salt applied to buttered crust, it's served on a charcuterie board with cheese knife. Perfect for cutting bite sized peices fresh before you dip. Cheese sauce and stone ground mustard. Burgers were good. Sit down restaurant style, thick and perfectly grilled to order. A little gooey but the buns soaked up the juices. Salads come with standard fancy greens, topped with thinly sliced apples, with whole pecans. The vinegrett was decent. Soup that day was country vegetable. We passed at fire because it sounds very Campbell soup from a can. A couple minutes later she came out and said chef made her taste it, so she could adequately rave about it. Turned out to be rave worthy. Not stewed to death, hearty crispy and nutritious

The Caesar salad was excellent with super crisp romaine and a fresh house made dressing. I wished that the plate was bigger, as it was loaded very high and hard to not spill. The Margarita flatbread was ok, nothing special. My dining mate tried the Fried Cheese Curd app and a Smashburger with fries for his main. The curds were deliciously crunchy and gooey. Some of the best curds in the area. His Smashburger was good, but the fries were outstanding. We also tried hot cider, since cider is Orchard's claim to fame. The cider was excellent, although a bit pricey at $6.00 a cup. We splurged on some mini-donuts for dessert, but they were just ok. The vibe of Orchard is open and inviting. Our server was excellent, no complaints.
