I am extremely disappointed with the service department at Dossett Big 4 in Tupel, MS regarding repairs to my 2020 GMC Sierra Denali. My truck experienced engine failure with symptoms identical to the well-known GM 6.2L engine issues affecting newer GMC models -- knocking, propulsion problems, stalling, and complete shutdown concerns. A trusted mechanic who previously worked for a GMC dealership specifically advised me to take it to a GM dealer because of the similarities to the known engine problems. After inspection, I was told my issue was somehow "different" and not covered, despite having the same symptoms. I ended up paying over $10,000 for a refurbished engine replacement. What made the experience even worse was the customer service throughout the process: * My vehicle was kept for approximately 3 weeks * I was given multiple inaccurate completion dates * No courtesy vehicle was provided despite the size of the repair bill * I was told my vehicle would be left accessible for after-hours pickup, only to arrive and find it locked behind the gate * After receiving my vehicle back, I discovered my underbody light wiring had been cut. When I contacted the dealership, they denied responsibility and then wanted to charge me additional money to repair it Overall, the communication, accountability, and customer care were extremely disappointing. I'm VERY happy with my purchase and even happier that it wasn't a very long process. Only downside is that my vehicle has had the check engine light on since I got it. Gotta have it looked at. Horrible! The worst. I had a deal on a new Sierra Denali and told Tim to call me when the truck came in. He called and told me the truck was in and ready to be picked up. I told him I didn't want any hassles and to get in and out. He agreed and told me everything would be set up and to pick it up at 9. I was paying cash and Tim assured me I would be in and out and the truck would be ready to go. I showed up at 9 and there was a problem. They didn't have paperwork on my truck but had another truck exactly like it. I wondered why they didn't sell me the truck exactly like it instead of the hassle. A "bait and switch" deal all around. The finance manager was a real piece of work, very rude, and unprofessional. I was paying cash, so I didn't understand why he was even involved. Tim seemed very uneasy, and I realized something shady was cooking when he brought the "Boss Hogg" replica of the finance manager to "explain things" to me. I left without buying the truck. About two hours later, Rudy, the owner of the place called me. He couldn't explain why things were handled the way they were. I would never buy anything from these people. They are either crooks or extremely incompetent, or a combination of both. read more

Bought a beautiful Yukon XL from this dealership. My salesman Eric was extremely helpful and trustworthy. Very fair dealership during this horrible time for car buyers. Sold me a 2022 Yukon XL at MSRP and not a cent above, I was shocked dealerships still did that as everywhere else I had looked charged 10-20k over over MSRP. Dealership attempted a slick Willie on me here yesterday. Told a used certified 2015, $50k+ vehicle was one thing, shown select photos, foolishly paid a $500 deposit (they wanted $2k), demanded other photos (which arrived the evening before I traveled down), flew down from Chicago and saw thru the lipstick on that pig upon close inspection. This truck was abused- full stop. Lied about the vehicle history, lied about the damage history (clean carfax, but they repaired the vehicle at the dealership so it will not show up on reports), lied about the previous owner use of vehicle, etc. Probably lost my deposit, but I ran away from that deal!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. They sold me a car four weeks ago with no warranty. Am I an idiot for buying a car with no warranty? Absolutely. That's on me. I was super stressed about buying a car and I assumed (I just moved here from Maryland where this is the law) that it would have a warranty for at least the first 30 days or 1000 miles, and I didn't find out that it had no coverage until after I'd already given them the money and was signing documents. There was no information posted in the window of the car, like usual. If that information had been available I would have seen that there was no warranty. Me being a moron in this case is a given, but they absolutely took advantage of the situation. The car was $10,400. And the salesman knew that my annual salary is $20,000. Selling a car worth that much of someone's income with no warranty at all is seriously shady. There was one distinct moment when I tried to bail on the deal and he pressured and pushed me into it. I am well aware that this sounds odd, but as a single woman buying a car it is remarkably easy to get bullied into things. Hindsight is 20/20. I had a great loan set up with my Federal Credit Union (1.9%). I told the guy twice at Dossett Big 4 Big that I wanted to stick with my Credit Union, but he seemed convinced that they could get me a better deal. They ran some numbers and, no surprises here, they couldn't beat my existing loan, or even come close to it. They offered me some much crappier loans, and I said no thanks. I was told that they ran a soft credit check and it wouldn't show up on my report. In spite of being offered terrible loans that day with them, I then receive not one but TWO credit rejection letters in the mail, and after checking my credit report today found out that they ran two hard credit checks on me, which have hurt my credit score and won't come off it for two years. If they had told me it would be a hard request I absolutely would have declined. The fact that it was two is unbelievably frustrating. (Note: It ended up being 4. Seriously.) The day I bought the car I noted to them that it had a few things wrong with it that hadn't been visible during the test-drive. To their credit, they took care of those things in the following two days. However, two weeks later (less than 500 miles in), the car was making some unpleasant noises and the check engine light came on. When I spoke to the salesman he came back at me with an unbelievably patronizing lecture about how "things just happen with used cars" and it's not their responsibility. His solution was that I could trade the car back in with them and get a different car. This would have entailed taking another day off work, driving an hour back to their showroom, spending another few hours with the patronizing, pressuring sales guy, and probably giving them more money. I would also note that the car was dirty on the inside when I bought it. I test drove it a couple of days prior and he said they'd clean it up, but that evidently never happened. read more
