She is thorough and thoughtful in her assessments and recommendations. She always presents a number of options and fully supports what you end up choosing. She committed to helping you work through whatever issue you are facing. She is smart, asks the right questions but also tell it to you straight! I have never felt rushed by her. We feel so incredibly lucky to have her as our doctor. Every single time either of us see her, we swoon over her for days. Simply out, we LOVE her.

The experience could be better in one way sometimes I wish the staff was more patient friendly - they can sometimes not be friendly and helpful and there is a wait even though you have a scheduled appointment time. They have also lost my paperwork that I made to point to make sure they had more than once.   Reason I cannot give this a 5 star review the practice and staff overall. All in all though - Dr. Bowler is a good doctor, and I will be referring more patients to her.

Kids for a pediatrician, adults here for shots, and then some of us blindly booked an appointment to see a dentist. The place is old, outdated and leaks in their ceiling. If your practice looks dirty... how clean can your equipment be?!?!! Finally when you get bill... it comes up as "Central Park Dental"... like how many different names does a shady business have? There's another patient ahead of me and he tells me, he waited 1hr already... I was beyond shocked and not sure if I wanted to stay... but I was in a lot of pain. I waited 1.5hr to see: a brand spanking new dental grad... with no bedside manner... lacked empathy, couldn't care less - I told them I was in immense dental pain... told me to just take Tylenol. She tells me it's a root canal issue. Sent me to see someone in their other affiliated clinic. SHE GOT my diagnosis wrong, sent me to see another person for no reason in another office and charged my insurance for that 5 sec consultation. Money grab much? At least that consult pointed me to the right direction - to see a gum specialist. Wow this whole experience once again confirms - IF you do not possess patient empathy and bedside manner of a human being; please stop practicing. I would never ever recommend this shady practice to anyone. Do your research.

I can never…read moreseem to stick with anyone for longer than a few months, and I got burned the last time I found a doctor really liked when she decided to up and move her practice to another state. But I'm getting to that stage of life where it's time to settle down so I started my search for a long-term doctor. Quite a few of my coworkers seemed happy with Dr. Pentecostes as their PCP so I decided to give her a call. Part of the Weill-Cornell hospital group, Dr. Pentecostes' office is on the 11th floor. The building itself is somewhat dingy but the medical space itself is awash with light, clean lines, and a reassuring sterility. Checking in is a painlessly efficient process and the wait shouldn't be too long, but there is complimentary guest wifi available to keep you entertained for any dallying stays. Dr. Pentecostes is one of the best listeners in the profession. She takes the time to hear you out regarding pain, problems, and medical history. She is also one of the only doctors I've met who is unwilling to throw drugs at a symptoms, preferring instead to try and uncover root issues. My appointments with her have never felt rushed, though she is as efficient as she is caring and honors punctual patients with her undivided time. During my first visit, the front desk failed to let me know that I should arrive 15 minutes earlier to take care of initial paperwork so I ended up having to forego my appointment time and waiting an additional forty minutes to get seen. When she heard about the miscommunication, Dr. Pentecostes was dismayed and promised she'd speak to the folks at the front desk. I thought nothing of it afterwards, but during my next visit about a month later, she asked me if it was a quicker check-in than last time. In fact, it had been (I don't know if it could have been any faster - they were ushering me into the room while I was still handing over the copay), but I was pleasantly surprised that she so acutely remembered the specifics of my last visit. In these and many other ways, Dr. Pentecostes shows a rare mixture of care and professionalism that has long brought my doctor-hopping search to an end. Highly recommended.

I always like Dr. Martin: an excellent…read moredoctor, he would always take time to explain in great details the results of test and possible treatment options. Genuinely interested in the wellbeing of his patients, Dr. Martin was one of the best doctors I've ever had in NYC. In fact, I liked Dr. Martin so much that I kept him as my PCP even after I moved away from this neighborhood. Why the negative rating, then, you ask? Well, it all started when my wife was half way through her pregnancy, and we started considering our options for a pediatrician. Since Dr. Martin is also a pediatrician, I thought it would be great and convenient to have him as both my PCP and pediatrician for my soon-to-arrive new baby. Dr. Martin suggested that I set up an appointment so that my wife could meet him, and that's where everything collapsed. I called the office several times back in May 2018, trying to get an appointment for my pregnant wife. I was always met with the same response: "Dr. Martin is very busy; he will call you back". I tried to ask the receptionist why couldn't she just look at the calendar and tell me when the next available appointment could be. Always the same, nonsensical answer: "Dr. Martin is very busy; he will call you back". The thing is, Dr. Martin never called me back; nobody from his office called me back, ever. It's now been 5 months, my baby was born in September, and we had to pick a pediatrician. I don't know why the Doctor/office adopted this passive-aggressive attitude, why they refused to set up an appointment for a regular patient, or why the Doctor just never called me back. This kind of behavior is not only disrespectful, but also highly unprofessional. Time to look for a new primary care physician.
