We went in on a Sunday, after seeing so many posts pop up on my Facebook feed the last few weeks. I tried the breakfast sandwich with bacon. It had lettuce, tomatoes, eggs and cheese, with a mayonnaise spread. The sourdough bread it came on was nice and crispy on the outside with a nice chewy crumb. $12 I would definitely get it again! My husband got the ham and cheese croissant and when we got home, he put an egg in it. I tried it and it was also delicious. $5 The (owner?) that helped us was very nice and kind. When we got home, we noticed he had included a little carton of cut up watermelon pieces! So nice of them on this hot day! There's a seating area inside with small round tables that looks cozy to relax and eat there. We had our dogs with us and didn't want them to shed so much inside, so unfortunately we took it to-go and enjoyed it at home! There's a small parking lot to the rear which is shared with a tow company. I assume you can also park in the residential area off college. This store is located just east of Washington middle school.

I visited this bakery on June 28 and placed a pickup order for July 5 at 6:30 a.m. I paid by card…read moreat the time of ordering. On July 5, I arrived at the store around 6:50 a.m. to pick up my order, but the staff could not find it. After checking, they told me that the person who took my order on June 28 had written it down incorrectly as a 6:30 p.m. pickup, not 6:30 a.m. Even though they admitted that the order was written incorrectly on their side, they told me I would have to wait about 30-40 minutes for them to prepare the original items. I had to pick up my order and leave right away, so I ended up taking different replacement items instead and got money back the price difference in cash. What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. I did not receive any apology from the bakery that morning, so later that day I called the store hoping to at least hear a simple "sorry" for the inconvenience. The employee on the phone only asked questions like who took the order and why the price difference was paid back in cash not card, and never offered any apology. Because of this, I went back to the store in person to speak with the manager or owner. The owner, pretending as manager, told me that the order slip showed a 6:30 p.m. pickup time, not 6:30 a.m., and insisted that there was no fault on their side. She didn't say sorry but just blamed the one who wrote wrong. I explained that all I wanted was a basic apology: they had written the order time incorrectly, I could not receive what I originally ordered, I had to take a smaller replacement order, and then I had to visit another bakery to buy more items to make up for the shortage. Even after explaining the inconvenience this caused, I still did not receive a sincere apology. The lack of responsibility and basic customer service in handling their own ordering mistake was very disappointing, and that is why I am sharing this experience here.

I'm really glad I lowered the sugar because it was perfect for me just slightly sweet matcha + full richness and sugar from original cream top. There's so many fake, weak matchas nowadays and this was just the best one I've had in a really long time. It doesn't try too hard to be showy or fancy or anything either. Just good matcha and a good cream top. Good ratio of milk, cream, everything. Super respectable shade of green and you can taste the matcha. It was mixed well and was nice and smooth. I really liked it!!

Now for the extra part I bought a cannoli and I have to be honest. I've had cannolis all over the world. And this is the best cannoli I've ever had. It was a little expensive at six dollars for a large one. But it was worth every penny every time I go past this place from now on - I will be stopping to get a cannoli. The Bakery goods were so good that I got on the to good to go app. This is my new favorite bakery. The other bakery I've been going to for 30 years is in the San Fernando Valley. But this one puts shame to that one. The selection is a little limited. They don't have all the tons of different bakery items, but what they have is excellent. I saw a number of people picking up cakes and things like that. Also special orders. the next time I buy a cake it will be from here. I hope it as good as the pastries I got today.

For this first trip, I found myself enchanted by the more traditional Korean pastries - the sweet potato creamy red bean bun, the curry croquette, the salt breads and rice crackers (one of their most popular items they said.) Most everything costs between $3-5. What a steal! I ordered their new item -- a banana latte made with their own banana syrup and cold foam to go with a double shot of espresso. It was tasty though seeing the old timers with their hot brewed coffees and bean buns made me wish I'd gotten something hot too. All in all, I had a great time at Cafe Bleu and can't wait to come back and try some new things. There are lots of tables and plenty of room to meet up with friends or work or do your homework.
