We had dinner here on a late Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was not very busy except for a tabble of 12, which explained several of the trucks parked outside the door. Service was prompt and friendly, although my wine order was almost rejected by the waitress until I insisted it was on the menu. She searched the cooler and found it. I ordered shrimp enchiladas and husband ordered the Texana plate which, to my amazement, he demolished easily. The food was excellent. Our only complaint is regarding the beer mugs, always frozen. We solved that problem by dumping my ice into his beer glass so he could use my non-frozen ice glass for his beer. We will return the next time we camp at Lake Texana. ( As the photo illustrates, husband's Texana plate required two plates. ) read more

Stopped here while working in the area. Pretty average Mexican restaurant, they offer a lunch and dinner buffet that I didn't try. I had the tacos al carbon plate. It came with two tacos, refried beans, rice, pico de gallo, and guacamole. The meat was tender and had a good flavor, and the pico was chopped fine and had a little bite to it, just like I prefer. The refried beans had actual bean fragments rather than being pure mush. Rice was pretty average. The service was very attentive without being annoying, always a plus. read more

They used to be in the dairy mart in ganado took over dos in Edna. Looking at the negative review makes me laugh because they were cleaning. Do you know how many reviews I see with complaining about how filthy some of these hole in the wall Mexican restaurants can be?! In the begining it's was a bit sketchy on quality but over the past year she's become very consistent with the food being pretty good. My fave is the tejas plate with cheese enchiladas and a grilled ranchero pork chop which is always juicy and delicious. I like her enchiladas because they come with actual gravy, not chili cheese. Of course rice and beans included. Salsa is nice with onion chunks and cilantro. Your not going to find a food network restaurant in Jackson county so get over it and enjoy food when it's good, not trendy! read more

This is some of the best Mexican food I've had! I'm a big fan of Mexican food, travel a lot, and frequently try the local fare. About 4 pm on a Saturday, there was only one other car in the lot but I decided to try it anyway. Glad I did! Stopped in here with an RV, happy to find directly behind restaurant is a large parking area with two exits leading back to highway.I had the super plate which consists of a cheese and a beef enchilada, beef taco, homemade beans and rice $10.00. Had the Dos Hermanos nachos with queso. The large serving will definitely fill up the largest of appetites. I ordered mine with steak (no shrimp) and the food was delicious. The wait time was pretty short and the soft drinks are nice and clean tasting (i have had bad experiences at other places). I will definitely be back to this restaurant. read more

Awful atmosphere. We stopped in to grab a quick bite and sat in a room with three other people. The staff was mopping the floor around us with a overwhelming smell of Pinesol that completely destroyed our appetites. Couldn't even eat the chips! Which by the way is extra and considered a side. Even though it's not listed on the menu as such. If I chose to return a fajita taco on a flour tortilla with guacamole would be my choice. read more

My sister and I each drive 2.5 hours from different directions to meet to connect our grandsons for a bit. We decided to eat dinner here. We both agreed that it was as some of the best Mexican food we'd ever had. The three boys had kids plates that were generous and more adult-type fare. We chose to share a Texas Plate for a taste of several items. We were both full and every item had great flavor and appropriate crispness. This place has some of the best authentic Mexican food around! The staff is awesome and their menu is great for families with kids (American and Mexican food choices for the little ones)! Since we moved to Texas all I've been able to find is TexMex, which is very bland. This is authentic Mexican food with great flavors...and the prices are reasonable. This place doesn't have great curb appeal, but the atmosphere inside is cool and the food is even better! read more

Today (1-15-18) my friends and I went to eat at dos Hermanos, we were all very excited to try something different in Edna Texas. Let me tell you It was complete crap!! Our meal was $40 for the 4 of us. Doesn't seem to bad but keep reading. It all started out with the waiter knocking my phone off the table and completely shattering it! I asked to speak to the owner, she proceeded to tell me it was my fault and that me owner of this restaurant was not there so I could not talk to her. Not even 10 minutes later the owner was walking around the restaurant. I was told to leave it alone because they were not going to do anything about shattering my brand new iPhone so I left it alone feeling very upset. About 20 minutes later all three of my friends were out of drinks so they asked for a refill. She came back with our food and drinks. All of the drinks were wrong and the food was cold. Keep in mind we were the only ones there so they were not busy AT ALL! Once they notice that their drinks were wrong I went to ask the waiter if she could fix the drinks, she cut me off half way through and left.. she came back with the wrong drinks once again!! She only came back to our table once, one of my friends had asked for more salsa. He never got it due to our waiter leaving work. We didn't tip and shouldn't have even paid due to my brand new iPhone being broken. It's almost 5 hours later and we are all throwing up and have this shits. VERY UNHAPPY!! NEVER AGAIN!! read more
