I was pleasantly surprised here! I mean this place has been a dead spot in Algonquin for years and now it's finally got something going good! Staff was wonderful and friendly. We stopped in on our way home from a day of shopping; Dos Bros is near our house and we were pretty hungry and tired but not hungry enough for a full meal. We ordered three tacos; asked them to surprise us. The employees were super pleasant and helpful. The tacos were just... meh. Nothing special. The restaurant was soooo clean and shiny. I always like to visit a place multiple times before reviewing the food and after at least 10 visits, I gotta say its REALLY good. It's the same concept as Chipotle but with better food, better prices, and more sauce choices. I can never seem to find a HOT hot sauce, but they have this green sauce that is AWESOME! Don't worry, the others are delicious too. I've tried them all but the mildest. The staff is fantastic and friendly (NOT perky, I hate perky). I visited DosBros Algonquin for lunch when in the area. This location is in a strip mall with plenty of parking and had good street visibility. The inside was very clean with a main ordering counter, self service counter for beverages and utensils, and a good amount of seating. I ordered the Bowl with Ground Beef and a variety of their toppings. When making the bowl, they did use a lot of rice and then were minimal on the toppings. I asked for a little bit more at times but they still rationed adding much more. The quality of ingredients in the bowl were good but wish it had more balance and pop of flavor. This place is what Chipotle wishes it could be...the food was absolutely delicious!! Super fresh and at a great price point. My boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick bite around 8:30pm on a Saturday. Completely empty dining area but it was spotlessly clean! The two employees working were very friendly and the lady behind the counter was especially sweet. They both asked how the food was and thanked us for stopping by. Decided to give this new burrito spot a try after driving by several times. It is a Chipotle style build your own tacos, burritos and bowls. Upon entering the decor is minimal and nothing really stands out. Nobody was there and only one employee working out front (should have been a clue). I ordered a burrito and made it a meal with chips and salsa and a drink. The steak burrito was flavorless and the steak was questionable. It didn't really look like any steak that I have seen. The chips were stale and not good. The only part of the meal that I enjoyed was the Diet Coke. With prices that pretty much mimic Chipotle, I don't see why I would ever come back here. Do yourself a favor and find a better option. I don't think this place will be around long. read more

The food was fresh and tasty. They have the chipotle concept with the sky rocket prices and offer a meal deal. While they have Pepsi in fountain they have Coke in bottles, wicked smart. The ladies working were attentive polite and you it did not seem they were inconvenienced like their competitors. The space is large and clean. Nice girl working there, but without a doubt, the worst Mexican food ever. Everything thing was ice cold and we live less than a mile away. Wife ordered a burrito bowl and i got a steak burito. As i mentioned both were ice cold and neither had any meat. All i tasted was sour cream and rice. Couldn't even finish.. Don't waste your money. Everything is over priced. We were so excited to have a new Mexican restaurant near us. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. We ordered steak tacos and received pork, with very small amount of meat. They don't have corn soft tortillas only hard. We didn't get the drinks we ordered and the kids meal didn't have the rice we ordered. The food was overloaded with salt and very greasy. Way too pricey for what you get. There are way better options around the Algonquin area, so please don't waste your money here. read more
