Highest praise for Downtown Electric!!! Great quality, excellent customer service and good value!…read more In September of 2023, I contacted several electricians to get a quote for a variety of electrical work that I needed done (new dedicated 20-amp circuit, EV charger, generator interlock, transfer switch, etc.). Downtown Electric was the first company available to come out to provide a free quote on price. Their estimate turned out to be less than most of the other electricians who bid on the job. Downtown Electric was also available to start the job in one week. I'm comparing this to another firm that said the wait to actually get the work done might up to one month!!! Casey Wolf (the owner) personally completed the work and he did a great job. Everything went smoothly and the quality of work and his professionalism exceeded my expectations! I recommend them highly.

I…read morecalled numerous electricians in Wilmington, and almost all of them seemed to base their prices on the supply and demand crunch, leading to high, flat fees per item installed. Flatwire, on the other hand, charges per hour and only bills for the actual cost of materials. They ended up being over $1,300 cheaper than the lowest other quote I received! During my six-month home renovation, I did most of the electrical work myself, but had I known about Flatwire back then, I'd have hired them! Their team was not only skilled but also incredibly professional. If you're looking for top-quality work at a reasonable price, call these guys! I'm confident they'll beat any other quote you've been given!
