WHERE DO I BEGIN?? I was a Geico auto policy holder from…read more2006-2020 but then when Covid hit, my policy amount nearly tripled, so I had to leave. Geico had always been good to me but I only dealt with them by email or by phone. Then I discovered something I never had before, something I didn't think I needed or even wanted--A GEICO AGENT!! Since 2020, I had been with Progressive. They were good to me as well but somehow my rates would inch up a bit at a time even though I had no accidents/tickets. I was "sort of" content with Progressive but I started checking out other insurance companies for the heck of everything. As if the timing wasn't perfect enough,24 hours after I asked for a quote, I got this call from this agent, Angel Arce, telling me about a quote request that I swore I NEVER did (which in fact I found I did). I shot him down cold, said no, no, no--sticking with Progressive. Talk about patient!! He quietly sat, listened to me loudly say no, no, no, after Geico nearly tripled my rates I was done with then FOREVER--AND A DAY!! Angel said absolutely nothing while I was (and I admit first hand) being a doofus. After I hushed up & before I could say anything else, this FANTASTIC BEAR of insurance agents, had me in a conversation, walked thru all my smoke screens without any second guessing & somehow pulled all my info out of me. ArcyBearBear (as he IS just that) was SO convincing & got me to work with him. How he got me to listen I'll never know, it just happened!! He was able to beat the rates I was already paying. Even my first down payment was cheaper than the regular monthly payment from Progressive & I was able to have the same identical policy, same deductibles---but for $55.40 less per month!! ArcyBearBear is not a typical insurance agent as I have since learned. If some of you growing up remembering the "Insurance Man" that used to come to your house--take this & fast forward to 2026, & add personality, wit, empathy & heavy duty understanding. He's just like us all, a red blooded/down to earth person who is EXTREMELY EASY to converse with, EXTREMELY EASY to feel comfortable with quickly, able to ask questions (I threw some goofy ones at him) without feeling like a dum-dum & ANYTHING you don't get or fully understand--he's great at finding ways to break info down for you until you DO understand. He's not just concerned about the sale of the policy, but instead having his newfound insurance relationship with you as well. He's always available after the sale or renewal. ArcyBearBear isn't there to only sell something, but in doing so he considers your financial situation & will work with you to find a solution. He does NOT give up easily!! I used to think that I'd NEVER need or even remotely want an agent since I was a "do it yourself" kind of Cub. Now I see it doesn't hurt to have an advisor & having an agent is one of those things I think would work out to a person's benefit. ArcyBearBear have to been doing this since forever. He's excellent at the "getting to know you" stage, he's excellent with presenting the research/results so that even a 9th grader can understand. His well sorted temperment & soft touch to hospitality/customer service is such so you really think you're talking with a soft spoken shephard. He doesn't rush you off the phone, he doesn't tire out quickly when dealing with you. This is the agent that can bring in anyone no matter how dead set they are against switching to Geico or being a first time policy holder. I can yak yak yak my tail off when allowed, he didn't think anything of it so being a great conversationalist goes a long way in his job duty. ArcyBearBear is one of the primary reasons why I gave Geico another look. I was shown a better deal, I was given an opportunity to go back to my roots & I made a friend with my now new agent. Today here I am, a former Geico person that came back home. I thought I was IMPOSSIBLE, but I was shown otherwise!! I'm glad to be back & everythang is hunky dorry!! For those that aren't sure, scared or flat out "no no no" like I was, I think if you give ArcyBearBear a chance like I did, you will find comfort in using the Dempster St. Geico Agent House. When I was shopping for market place insurance I found many agents from big name companies have fudged the truth and in some cases flat out lied. I literally almost gave up hope but Maggie was there every step of the way and made me feel confident. The one thing I love about Maggie she is very knowledgeable and looks after your interest not hers. Other agents I was turned off to the fact they were high pressure and didn't seem too interested in spending too much time. I know most agents don't make a lot of commission selling health care and explains why most are quick to close the sake and move on, Maggie was more interested in making sure I felt comfortable with the policy.
