My childhood STOMPING ground. Used to come here with La Famille when The Sibling and I were sprogs. Now I pass by this childhood favorite on the way to classes by bus. Weekdays or the odd random weekend, I would see Families, parental units, and/or babysitters with the young ones. Sometimes people with their dogs playing either with the balls and frisbees or just relaxing.
Sometimes I would walk one of The Dogs (Sergio, Grigio, or Baci) when they were still with us. Dolce has been treated to a walk here as well.
Ah, the cement slide at DBP. I could have sworn there used to be two of them here. I remember we did not need cardboard to utilize going down the slide. Bring the cardboard for maximum effect. These days I would climb up the slide.
There were renovations at DPB quite some time ago and the park was closed for almost a whole year. It was in dire need of a makeover, especially the children's play area, the one for toddlers and sprogs under the age of five. They really needed to update the swing and slide for them. Not to mention, DBP was in dire need of a makeover, the landscape needed to be pruned, trimmed, mowed, etc., etc., etc.
And I was chuffed to bits they kept the (a) cement slide.
