    I had a very disappointing experience at Nicklaus Children's urgent care during my baby's visit…read moreyesterday. My 5-month-old son had developed an unusual discharge from his penis, so we brought him in to be evaluated. Unfortunately, the doctor who came into the room never even introduced herself, so I do not know her name. From the moment she walked in, her tone was loud, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude toward both my husband and me. While examining my baby, she forcefully pulled back his foreskin even after I explained that I only retract it gently as far as it naturally goes without forcing it. She continued to pull it further back, which caused visible fissures and pain to the tip of his foreskin. Seeing my baby in pain because of an unnecessary action was extremely upsetting. After that, she stated that the only way to know what was happening was to catheterize my baby to obtain a urine sample. When I respectfully declined that option, she became irritated and began lecturing us about how parents' fears sometimes prevent problems from being detected early. While I understand that doctors need to explain risks and options, the way she spoke to us was judgmental and unprofessional. What made the interaction even more shocking was the way she asked about my son's care. Instead of using appropriate medical language, she asked, "Do you guys peel it back?" This wording felt extremely inappropriate and unprofessional for a pediatric medical setting. As parents, we came in concerned about our baby's health and expected compassion, professionalism, and respectful communication. Instead, we felt dismissed, judged, and our baby was physically hurt during the examination. I brought my child with no sort of pain , just looking for a diagnosis. Now I have him at home suffering from that bad procedure and guess what , with not a single answer I hope the hospital takes patient experience and bedside manner seriously, especially when dealing with infants and worried parents.

    I only selected this dentist as it was close to my apartment. Given that I only required a standard…read morecleaning I did not see a need to be to selective about the dentist office visited (mistake). After waiting for two hours in the seating room (keep in mind I had an appointment) I was called into the office so some x-rays could be taken. The young bearded gentleman who did my x-rays was not friendly at all. While being escorted into the x-ray room I said hello to the young man conducting the x-ray but he did not respond. After completing the x ray I said thank you and made sure I made I contact but, still no response. After x-rays were completed I was instructed to go back to the waiting room and that I would be called in when the dentist was ready. I was called into the office and escorted to an empty dentist office and waited for about another 20-30 minutes. After the wait a dentist arrived looked at my x-rays and began to prep me (it is now almost 3 hours since my scheduled appointment). A young lady then came into the dentist office and notifies me that I need to pay as my insurance does not cover the procedure. At this point I laughed, got out the chair, and left the office. I have had the same insurance for going on 4 years and I know very well what is and is not covered. I then called my regular dentist office (which is of much higher quality) and told them what happened. They laughed and scheduled an appointment for me. They indicated to me that said location has a less than ideal reputation in regards to customer service. I ended up going to my regular dentist, got my teeth cleaned and did not have to pay anything as (drum roll....) it was covered by my insurance. To be fair I rated said company 2 stars as, even though I had a negative experience there appeared to be others who had been to the office before and did not have any issues. In conclusion, the venue appears to be hit or miss.
