My son was extremely relaxed and told me he was really having fun. The icing on the cake was the goodie bag at the end of a great cleaning, "teeth pictures" and lots of tickles. Marlee got the cutest giggles out of him. Marlee and Dr. Landa gave us time to ask any questions we had and we never felt rushed. They have a tv on the ceiling for the kiddos. I explained that if he wasn't on laughing gas that maybe he wouldn't laugh, she then proceeded to tuck my child into a blanket then jumped on the table and laid on my son she said that I needed to do what she was doing so that he could stay still. I looked at her and asked to quickly remove herself since he's a little child and an adult body could suffocate him. I could tell that she was extremely bothered that I wasn't going to. She should not be working with children if she's not going to have patience. Don't let the pretty office fool you. Run Thankfully my sons new dentistry has the kindest dentist and staff.

However, Dr. Martinez and his staff came highly recommended by my child's pediatrician at Gables Pediatrics, whom we trust like family. He stated that Dr. Martinez's office was following all COVID precautions and that he takes all of his own children to him without issue. As soon as I called South Miami Pediatric Dental Associates, they put all my fears to rest. Their paperwork can be submitted on-line in order to avoid filling out the "new patient" forms in the office with a squirmy toddler. I was also instructed prior to my appointment that only 1 parent could accompany each child, everyone was required to wear masks, and to please call when we arrived so they could let us know when to come up instead of waiting in a room with other families. I LOVED this! Once inside, neither Sandy, nor Dr. Martinez disappointed. Great bedside manner and professionalism all around. When it was time to go they had offered him stickers. But my son is a Superman fan more than Spider-Man and unfortunately the ladies did not have any nothing of DC heroes when one of the ladies disappeared after my son was sad they didn't have anything Superman, the other ladies were trying to convince him to take as many stickers as he wanted. They had Paw Patrol. It seems like my son was dead set on Superman lol (that day he was even wearing his Superman shirt that had a cape Velcro on; my way of showing him that he has to be brave like Superman for our dr visit lol) when my son was, still sad, accepted the paw patrol stickers the first woman that had disappeared came back with a printed photo of Superman and wrote on the paper, "Matthew. Best Patient!" I nearly teared up for the level of care they had for my son just to see him smile. That black and white print out is now hanging on my son's white board, next to his next dental appointment with red and blue magnets holding them in place. After my lactation consultant suspected a lip and tongue tie for my daughter, we were able to get in the schedule in less than 48 hours for an evaluation and correction. Everything happened right away and this made all the difference for my 2 week old little, who had started falling off the weight curve! The procedure was very quick and helped tremendously with the feeding difficulties we were having. Though this procedure is not covered by insurance, I found their fees reasonable and they offered the opportunity to use care credit. Dr. Bob is a wonderful dentist and the office is well run!
