I wasn't sure what to anticipate and as soon as I walked into the salon I was warmly welcomed and put at immediate ease with a inviting smile. Coming from California, at best I know some French words but Sarah speaks English well. Initially she spent time consulting with me and I shared photo of what I was looking for (I went from short length hair to a pixie cut). We comfortably discussed my needs and she was very attentive to understand and throughout checking along to ensure I was happy as we went along. My haircut was crafted expertly and extremely happy with the outcome. Sarah was so sweet, genuine and truly accommodating! Sarah brought me to the rear of the salon to the wash station room. She explained she wanted to create a relaxing and soothing experience while getting hair washed/conditioned. Dimmed lights with a visual slide show projection of tropical images to enhance the experience- totally cool. The shampoo wash and head massage was the best ever! Sarah expertly gave a lengthy head and neck massage and ended with a hot/warm head towel to further add to the experience. It was a real treat! The salon itself has a contemporary, a chic but yet warm design, immaculate. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. I was brought a tray of bottled Vitell water/glass during my visit. Be prepared since they don't rush you out the door with a quick turnaround appointment. Its apparent service is important and taking care of you takes added time which was very evident to me. Salon is easy to find on a side street off the active (popular amongst tourists) Rue Saint Denis (2nd Ard) about a 15 min walk from the Louvre/Notre Dame. Nice area to explore and walk about. I left the Saravy Salon super pleased and must say it was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris! I've been coming to Paris for years and this was my first time getting a haircut. My trepidations were quickly vanished and now I have a darling, stylish new haircut! Plan to be back again in the fall and will certainly book another appointment with Sarah at Saravy Salon!!!

I was paired with two professionals, one for cut (Barbara) and one for color (Morgan). I spent 5 hours at the salon with these two women to make me blonde and it was WELL worth it. They both consulates with me and we talked about the best style and what my hair needed. It is Aveda, which environmentally is second to none, but I cannot believe how pleasant my experience was. Sum did my cut and styling and Megane did my color. Both were warm, friendly, spoke nice English and were attentive to my needs. I was so impressed with how he paid specific attention to get my bangs just perfect. The color couldn't be more beautiful. I appreciated that they took their time and made sure I loved the style. I had no idea what to expect because Jean-Marie's English was limited and my French was non-existent. He shampooed, cut and styled my hair. I loved the fact that he used a razor to thin out some of my hair from underneath as I have very thick hair. The final outcome was really amazing. It was a fresh, clean cut with the layers laying nicely. It made me look and feel years younger. In hindsight, I wish I would have taken the time to have my hair colored while I was there, because I know he would have done an excellent job.
