I went to Glasgow with a small group. We hit this place for lunch and liked it well enough to schedule a larger group meeting and dinner there.
First, let's get the staff discussion out of the way. The owner, the bartenders, the waiters, and everyone else were excellent. Whatever we wanted, they made it happen. I think we had drinks and then dinner for about fifteen people.
Service was timely and efficient. Very friendly and accommodating. On the second visit, I think we were there for six hours. We never felt rushed or in the way.
Second, the food. I'm not a huge fan of Italian food. I have nothing against it. It's just not my first, second, third, or fourth choice. And if I think about it, it's not my fifth or sixth choice. I'm not a foodie, but Italian food is just . . . food.
I also don't do desserts. So maybe you should have stopped reading a couple paragraphs back. Oh well.
So, with those caveats . . . I thought the food was fine. Everyone else appeared to love it. And the dessert folks were off the charts. They really loved everything they ordered.
I drank beer. The beer was good.
Bottom line: The staff are spectacular and the food is good. So, if you're in the neighborhood, drop in. read more
