No concern toward his patients. No respect for parents. Refuses to listen to parents. Terrible doctor.

Do not bother with this office if you have a baby or young child…read more I had scheduled an exam for my (barely) 1 year old child to get established with a dentist. Keeping in mind he only has about 5 teeth total. The office called to confirm our appointment, and I asked what would happen at the appointment. I was told they would do a fluoride cleaning and exam. I told them my child is too young for a fluoride cleaning, and we like to pass on any fluoride use at this time. They told me if we decline the use of fluoride, then they will not even do an EXAM and cannot see my child as a patient. The appointment was canceled so I called "Little Dental Pediatric Dentistry" and made an appointment with them. They agreed to simply note in his chart "No fluoride" and confirmed that it's perfectly acceptable to delay the use of fluoride for babies. Highly recommend going to "Little Dental Pediatric Dentistry" on San Pedro Ave instead. I DO NOT RECOMMEND "World Pediatric Dental".

Dental visits tend to be unpleasant and my child has had rather difficult past experiences, but now he feels comfortable and confident when he visits his dentist. P.S. Monica is perfection and I'm so very grateful for her and the entire staff for creating such an intentional and well designed facility for children.

We've been coming here for 10 years and love Dr. Torres. Unfortunately, the front staff have been…read morelackluster and the most recent visit has pushed us to find another orthopedic dentist. I was called and told by the receptionist that my kids were due for their checkup. I should have checked my calendar cause it didn't seem like it had been 6 months already, so I asked if it had, and she said yes, they were on the list. I asked her to see if there was availability for both of my kids at the same time. She gave me a date of 2 days later, first thing in the morning. We arrived with 4 other families, all there for the same time slot when there's only 2 doctors. I waited 20 minutes and noticed the 2 front office people looking at some information and going back and forth, then they called me up. I was told they made a mistake and it was too early for my kids' checkups. They weren't due for another month. We have to drive about 25 minutes to get to Kids World Pediatric Dentistry. It was a weekday morning; I'm missing meetings, my kids were missing testing, all to take a long drive and be told they weren't going to be seen because they didn't do their do diligence and check insurance information prior to appointments. She gave me a very ungenuine apology. Needless to say, I was very frustrated. I calmly but sternly let her know we wouldn't be retuning. Dr. Torres and the office manager should review their front of the office processes and training. Also, take into consideration other people's schedules. Maybe not set up 5 appointments all at the same time slot, just to keep 3 of those waiting unnecessarily.

Made an appointment 1 week prior. We were first one to arrive. We were not in the list. Front…read moreoffice didn't verify insurance prior to our appointment. Sat in waiting room for about 35 minutes. Needless to say we took first appointment so my kid can catch up to school. When they finally called us in first thing they did was polish my Kid's teeth, without cleaning it first or seen by the Doctor. After the Doc saw her she said no need for cleaning. That's a surprise because i know I saw some tartar build up. This is the first on all dental appointments that she ever had no need for cleaning, it's been 6 months. I asked her she said she doesn't have anything to clean. I know I'm not a Dentist but I'm a Mom and I know my kid's tooth brushing habits. I also didn't appreciate the Doc's demeanour when I expressed concerns of no teeth cleaning. Made appointments after the appointment to give them another chance, by the way this is our first appointment. Check this out! They asked for $100 deposit for the next appointment, before services were rendered. That sealed the coffin for me. This is the worst dental appointment for us. Cancelled appointments and ask for a refund. Oh by the way office manager called me about the refund . She didn't solicit why we cancelled appointment. More concern with the money than the services. I also emphasized to her that they better not charge my insurance cleaning fee. Polishing is not cleaning! It's really too bad because I was looking forward to doing business with this Dental office because their location is convenient for us. Business practices are bad. We won't be coming back and I don't recommend this Dental Office.

This has been the only dentist my children have seen. And luckily the experiences have been good…read more Dr. Doose and his staff are excellent in making your child's visits comfortable and fun. My oldest has never had a bad experience, and never minds going to the dentist. 4 year old son had a kinda rough 1st visit this year, but Dr. Doose made it as easy as possible to make sure my son didn't get too scared. Dr. Doose was able to examine my 4 year olds teeth in a way that was not too frighting for him. After a couple of days my 4 year stated "Daddy when can we go back to the dentist I won't cry anymore". A few years ago my oldest son fell on a escalator busted his mouth real bad and lost a tooth. The very next day Dr. Doose was able to examine him; thank God no serious damage was incurred. Overall I think that Dr. Doose and his staff at Thousand Oaks Children's Dentistry definitely gets a 5 star rating. So call and make your child's appointment soon.

My experience was not good at all. The receptionist and an assistant were bad-mouthing a client,…read moreeveryone in the waiting room could hear their conversation which included profanity. All the children in the waiting room including mine laugh.....I got up and asked the receptionist not to use that language and she just said fine. I should of walk out, but didn't want to judge the office based on a couple of STUPID people. The stations are clean and neat...the assistant was gentle and kind but her breath smelled like feces!!!! The dentist was polite but he did NOT make a connection with my children and he made me feel uncomfortable... I will not give them my business ever again!!!
